About this vendor
Hi guys! I’m Pol Sena, owner of SweetPaperMedia, A wedding photographer covering San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County and the rest of SoCal area. I have been capturing weddings and love stories since 2007. I recently got engaged as well, so just like you, I know how it’s like to find the right vendors especially photographers because photos are the only things we will take home. Most of it will last on the day itself, but photography will make it last forever.
Coming from a creative wedding photographer & a soon-to-be-groom myself, don't underestimate the power of memories with creative touch to it. As a creative, I have a vision for my wedding & I would love my vision to be eternalized through still photos.
Having said that, allow me to introduce our company. First, I believe that all weddings are different especially when it comes to aesthetics. Some may like it in muted colors & some may like it in full colors. Wherever and whatever the wedding is, colors are what it boils down to as far as aesthetic goes. It’s all up to you on how you want your wedding vibe to look like. What’s important is that you have a photographer who can understand how beautiful your vision is. Someone versatile enough to have a creative touch & able to keep the integrity of your vision. Someone who can see your vision and know how to infuse creativity into it without compromising the overall aesthetic of your choice. Besides, your wedding is your own vision, right?
And with that, my most important quality is versatility. I approach each wedding differently based on your vision. Your colors won’t be toned down or muted but instead, it will be celebrated. Being in the industry for more than 13 years, I have experience in every wedding aesthetic you can think of.
However, as an artist, I’m not just simply documenting your wedding through photos. I apply my creative approach on it so your wedding photos are beyond mere recording. Most of my inspiration comes from movies & a lot of my influences are film makers. It’s an artistic vision towards wedding and portrait photography – ideas & execution with a bit of a tickle in your brain.
Our philosophy is that the art of wedding photography is beyond just breathtaking locations and fancy venue. It’s not about how much money is spent on the wedding but it’s about being able to infuse artistry and keeping the integrity of what was presented in front of you. Story telling with no pretense, uncompromising creativity that creates a visual perfume.

met us in Borrego Springs at the hotel where we were getting ready, and we felt like he did an amazing job capturing the uniqueness of our wedding day. We LOVE how the photos turned out, and we found him very easy going. Our wedding was even featured on the Green Wedding Shoes website, which was a great surprise!
However, since the wedding, the follow through has been lacking. On the contract we signed, he included the use of drone photography, several prints, and a canvas. Amid the excitement of the day, we didn't realize at the time that there was no drone. We had discussed it in our planning meeting, as our desert location would have looked incredible from above. I was disappointed when I realized that the drone photography never happened. More than six months, and dozens of emails later, we still haven't received the prints or canvas that were promised.
I appreciate that we have access to all of the photos through a web portal, and have been able to download and print them ourselves. But why put those items in the contract if they are never to be followed through with? We have been back and forth with the assistant, who cited issues with the printer.
Pol is an amazing photographer, but we were disappointed with post-wedding communication and following through with honoring the contract.

ch other's arms on a beach). Pol really delivered, giving us excellent shots that have gotten nothing but positive reactions. The only reason he isn't getting five stars is because he really needs to hire an assistant to help him organize his calendar. For both shoots he was radio silent until we hounded him into calling us, even asking us to rearrange the wedding itinerary literally the day before the event (you will find this to be basically impossible). On the wedding day he called my wife while she was running around getting ready with extensive questions about what to shoot and where, which was extremely stressful for both of us and drove our wedding planner nuts. To his credit, he was still able to get us incredible shots we will cherish for a lifetime. So by all means, hire Pol - just ask him if he has hired an office assistant so that he is aware of everything and ready to rock. If he hasn't, use caution.

From the start, we felt so well taken care of. In our consultation call, we shared the vibe we were looking for with our images bold and moody, and he understood the assignment 100%. Not only that, but the day of he went over and beyond for the sake of the shot, and damn, did it pay off! Such creative and gorgeous images, that we will cherish forever. We also really appreciated that of the shots we knew we wanted, he made a checklist on the lock screen of his phone to make sure they weren't forgotten. Talk about attention to detail.

Pol came to multiple vendor meetings, was willing to work with our videographer, and went above and beyond day of. I was worried that it would feel invasive and awkward, being followed around by a photographer, but working with Pol was so easy and natural. He caught so many special moments, most of which I didn't even realize he was there for.
All of the photos turned out so good. There isn't a bad one in the whole lot. In fact, my husband is already talking about booking him for anniversary photos. You definitely get your money's worth and then some!

He is great with people and makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera, gives you tons of instruction, and makes you look GOOD in photos. We had our engagement photo shoot at Lake Cuyamaca and the dedication and conversation kept the shoot and vibe nice and light.
