About this vendor
Hi guys! I’m Pol Sena, owner of SweetPaperMedia, A wedding photographer covering San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County and the rest of SoCal area. I have been capturing weddings and love stories since 2007. I recently got engaged as well, so just like you, I know how it’s like to find the right vendors especially photographers because photos are the only things we will take home. Most of it will last on the day itself, but photography will make it last forever.
Coming from a creative wedding photographer & a soon-to-be-groom myself, don't underestimate the power of memories with creative touch to it. As a creative, I have a vision for my wedding & I would love my vision to be eternalized through still photos.
Having said that, allow me to introduce our company. First, I believe that all weddings are different especially when it comes to aesthetics. Some may like it in muted colors & some may like it in full colors. Wherever and whatever the wedding is, colors are what it boils down to as far as aesthetic goes. It’s all up to you on how you want your wedding vibe to look like. What’s important is that you have a photographer who can understand how beautiful your vision is. Someone versatile enough to have a creative touch & able to keep the integrity of your vision. Someone who can see your vision and know how to infuse creativity into it without compromising the overall aesthetic of your choice. Besides, your wedding is your own vision, right?
And with that, my most important quality is versatility. I approach each wedding differently based on your vision. Your colors won’t be toned down or muted but instead, it will be celebrated. Being in the industry for more than 13 years, I have experience in every wedding aesthetic you can think of.
However, as an artist, I’m not just simply documenting your wedding through photos. I apply my creative approach on it so your wedding photos are beyond mere recording. Most of my inspiration comes from movies & a lot of my influences are film makers. It’s an artistic vision towards wedding and portrait photography – ideas & execution with a bit of a tickle in your brain.
Our philosophy is that the art of wedding photography is beyond just breathtaking locations and fancy venue. It’s not about how much money is spent on the wedding but it’s about being able to infuse artistry and keeping the integrity of what was presented in front of you. Story telling with no pretense, uncompromising creativity that creates a visual perfume.

We cannot say enough amazing things about Sweetpaper Media and our phenomenal photographer, Pol! From the very first meeting, Pol’s professionalism, warmth, and creative eye instan...
tly put us at ease. His years of experience were evident in every detail—from how he guided us through the timeline of the day to how effortlessly he captured every special moment without ever feeling intrusive.
When we received our wedding photos, we were completely blown away. Each image is stunning—beautifully composed, full of emotion, and bursting with color and life. Pol has a true gift for storytelling through his lens; he didn’t just take photos, he captured the feeling of the day in a way we’ll cherish forever.
We’ve had countless friends and family reach out to tell us how amazing our photographer was—not only because the photos are breathtaking, but because Pol’s vibrant energy and genuine kindness made such an impression on everyone. He brought so much positivity and fun to the day while maintaining absolute professionalism.
If you’re looking for a wedding photographer who is experienced, passionate, and incredibly talented, look no further than Sweetpaper Media. Choosing Pol was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding—we’ll be reliving those beautiful memories for years to come!
We had the absolute pleasure of working with Pol for both our engagement photos and wedding photos.... let me tell you, this man is extraordinarily talented. If you are looking for...
a photographer that has a keen eye for detail, unique creative vision and a knack for capturing your personal vibe though the art of photography, look no further. Pol captured all our meaningful moments, candid's of friends and family, décor, special details, and the magic of the our wedding so beautifully through his lens. Our pictures are timeless and stunning ! I know that for years to come, we will continue to experience joy and nostalgia through these vivid photos. The value of this is priceless. Pols passion for his craft definitely shows through his work and I firmly believe he is one of the best in his field. Thank you so much Pol !
We hired Pol to shoot our desert wedding on December 28, 2023. We were happy with the pre-planning meetings we had, and felt like he had a good understanding of us as a couple. He ...
met us in Borrego Springs at the hotel where we were getting ready, and we felt like he did an amazing job capturing the uniqueness of our wedding day. We LOVE how the photos turned out, and we found him very easy going. Our wedding was even featured on the Green Wedding Shoes website, which was a great surprise!
However, since the wedding, the follow through has been lacking. On the contract we signed, he included the use of drone photography, several prints, and a canvas. Amid the excitement of the day, we didn't realize at the time that there was no drone. We had discussed it in our planning meeting, as our desert location would have looked incredible from above. I was disappointed when I realized that the drone photography never happened. More than six months, and dozens of emails later, we still haven't received the prints or canvas that were promised.
I appreciate that we have access to all of the photos through a web portal, and have been able to download and print them ourselves. But why put those items in the contract if they are never to be followed through with? We have been back and forth with the assistant, who cited issues with the printer.
Pol is an amazing photographer, but we were disappointed with post-wedding communication and following through with honoring the contract.
My wife Kate and I hired Pol for our engagement and wedding photos. We wanted something fun and timeless but unexpected (i.e. no lounging around in a poppy field or running into ea...
ch other's arms on a beach). Pol really delivered, giving us excellent shots that have gotten nothing but positive reactions. The only reason he isn't getting five stars is because he really needs to hire an assistant to help him organize his calendar. For both shoots he was radio silent until we hounded him into calling us, even asking us to rearrange the wedding itinerary literally the day before the event (you will find this to be basically impossible). On the wedding day he called my wife while she was running around getting ready with extensive questions about what to shoot and where, which was extremely stressful for both of us and drove our wedding planner nuts. To his credit, he was still able to get us incredible shots we will cherish for a lifetime. So by all means, hire Pol - just ask him if he has hired an office assistant so that he is aware of everything and ready to rock. If he hasn't, use caution.
Pol did such an amazing job - we are absolutely in love with our engagement and wedding photos! They are nothing short of magical. He was able to capture the love and joy from each...

im capture our special day.
From the start, we felt so well taken care of. In our consultation call, we shared the vibe we were looking for with our images bold and moody, and he understood the assignment 100%. Not only that, but the day of he went over and beyond for the sake of the shot, and damn, did it pay off! Such creative and gorgeous images, that we will cherish forever. We also really appreciated that of the shots we knew we wanted, he made a checklist on the lock screen of his phone to make sure they weren't forgotten. Talk about attention to detail.
There are not enough words to say about how much we love Pol and his work. He is a true artist. Anyone who has the opportunity to work with him and his team is incredibly lucky. Thank you, Pol, for being so amazing!!

e instantly understood our unique vision and was fully on board to make it a reality.
Pol came to multiple vendor meetings, was willing to work with our videographer, and went above and beyond day of. I was worried that it would feel invasive and awkward, being followed around by a photographer, but working with Pol was so easy and natural. He caught so many special moments, most of which I didn't even realize he was there for.
All of the photos turned out so good. There isn't a bad one in the whole lot. In fact, my husband is already talking about booking him for anniversary photos. You definitely get your money's worth and then some!
I highly recommend Pol and Sweet Paper Media.

nsive, and reliable, which is awesome when you're stressing about a million other things about your wedding. I never worried about him - haha! He is great with people and makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera, gives you tons of instruction, and makes you look GOOD in photos. He has an incredible eye, and he sees things that others just don't, like how a certain light falls across the room, how plants or buildings look in the forefront of a photo or the background, how to play with contrast and texture and all of those amazing artsy things that you would never think of. You also end up with a zillion really good photos, not just a handful. It's so much fun to look at his work! He's just a great human. Hire him. Seriously. You won't regret it.

o Pol you can hear the passion he has for photography and capturing those once in a lifetime shots. Pol has also introduced financing options to better help couples get to their wedding day without any stress.<--- (message to the couples looking for a photographer, Pol is genuine and also will work with you and your budget, he makes finding a photographer very stress free!) We opted to have Pol shoot our wedding and chose a photo booth for the reception. Pol works with you and what you want which is everything we could have asked for.
We had our engagement photo shoot at Lake Cuyamaca and the dedication and conversation kept the shoot and vibe nice and light. He coached us on how to pose which really helped with how awkward my wife and I are regularly. He did return with the short time period and let me say that i was stunned with the shots and the quality.
On our wedding day, Pol showed up early to shoot both my wife and I getting ready as well as set up the photo booth. He was professional and dedicated to getting the shot that will make it all worth it.
If you're stuck trying to choose a photographer, Pol is the right choice. Pol is genuine, supportive and passionate. If I had to do the whole process over I would not hesitate to contact Pol again. He exceeded all expectations we had!

had us laughing through our engagement photos and wedding day. He is so much fun to work with and has an incredible eye for unique shots. The couple of days turn around on photos was so great! We got to enjoy looking through our wedding photos on our honeymoon which was so special. And the quantity and quality of photos is astounding. I highly recommend booking Sweetpapermedia for any and all photography you may need, even if you're not in the San Diego area. Pol loves to travel, even internationally, for his clients.

e immediately fell in love with his work and him as a person. This carried through the entire time we worked together.
His prices are reasonable, his work is phenomenal. He came with us to the desert for a super windy wedding ceremony. When things didn’t go exactly as planned, he offered us extra time the following day to ensure we could capture the photos we wanted.
Not only did my guests rave over his work and that they were the best wedding photos they’d ever seen, they also raved over him as a person. Everyone wanted to know him, to hang it with him, and many people have asked me for his information for events in the future.
Better yet, he created a slide show of my photos overnight so I could display them at our reception the following day, and had my photos to me after that event within 48 hours. I was so anxious to see them, I couldn’t imagine waiting months!
Seriously, choose this guy. I have zero regrets and will use him again and again for all my photography needs.
