Hired Sweetwater Strings for ceremony music, including two custom songs, and it was worth every penny. Eily gave recommendations on the number/type of musicians based on my song choices, and I very much appreciated the guidance. Everyone raved at how amazing they were, and I’m so glad I made this my wedding day splurge.

Sweetwater strings was the perfect addition to our wedding day! Coordinating and scheduling was a breeze, Kevin did phenomenal as our guitarist/MC and Genevieve was perfect on the violin. Both of them were high spirited and professional and we had so many compliments from guests on their performance. These musicians were hands down the best money we spent that day and I would recommend them to anyone!

We hired Sweetwater Strings for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Eily was so sweet and I ended up adding on services for our rehearsal dinner as well. Kevin played guitar for our rehearsal dinner and we loved him! He really set the mood and everyone had a great time. He even brought a microphone out for toasts! Kevin & Eily played the next day for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Although as the bride, I was only able to enjoy the bridal procession/recession - I had so many family and friends approach me about how much they loved the live music throughout the ceremony and cocktail hour. We loved everything Sweetwater played. They let us select all of our songs and then added a few other numbers that were beautiful! We loved the ambiance they added to our ceremony and overall day. Such a beautiful way to enter and exit the ceremony accompanied by their talented playing! We used a cello and violin duo and thought this was perfect!

As a professional violinist myself, I had very high standards for the live music I wanted for my own wedding day and the violin/guitar duo I booked through Sweetwater was an absolute dream come true! Our guests were enamored by the prelude music while waiting for the ceremony to get started 🤩 Eily was easily able to accommodate our song choices and even arranged a special request for our recessional song that added an extra bit of joy to our special day! Huge shout out to these talented, friendly, and professional musicians- the quality and timing of the music throughout our ceremony was spot on!

I could not recommend Sweetwater Strings enough! From the very start, Eily was so sweet and responsive, making sure all of my questions were answered and that we booked the perfect musician for our wedding. We hired a violin soloist for our intimate backyard ceremony and Kevin went above and beyond to entertain us and our guests! We absolutely loved having him there and his playing was just beautiful. I highly recommend Sweet Water Strings! We hired their string quartet for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and I’m so happy we did! They completely elevated our wedding and it felt so elegant. When we were first talking with them about hiring them, I wasn’t sure if I needed the quartet or the trio so I went to meet them early before an event and listened to them play. They played a few wedding songs for me and I cried they were so good! They were all so nice too and hearing them live helped me make up my mind that I wanted the quartet. I emailed directly with Eily throughout the process and she was a pleasure to work with. They had me fill out a questionnaire on the songs I wanted to be played or you can trust them to choose. I requested vintage, classy vibe songs such as “It Had to Be You” and “The Way You Look Tonight” and asked they stay away from any rock covers or fast pop. They did just that and did such an amazing job. The night felt so beautiful because of their music and everyone loved them and posted about them on social media. I personally remember walking down the aisle and hearing the music and seeing my groom and holding my dad’s arm, it was all so beautiful just like I’d imagined. Please hire them if you are looking. We had a violin duo at our outdoor wedding ceremony in June. Sweetwater Strings was super easy to work with and their playing was beautiful! I couldn’t have imagined walking down the aisle to my husband any other way than the sound of their beautiful playing. Several guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music and that it gave our ceremony an even more intimate touch.

We hired Sweetwater Strings to play music during our ceremony and cocktail hour for our wedding on March 3, 2019. We were so blown away with how easy the process was, and how great they performed! All we had to do was pick out songs that we wanted to be performed at specific times, such as procession and recession, and the musicians took care of the rest. We received so many compliments about how beautiful the music was. Not to mention, it was very affordable! We would highly recommend Sweetwater Strings to anyone!

You cannot go wrong withSweetwater Strings! We booked the violin and acoustic guitar duo for our ceremony music and I wish that I had booked them for longer. The music was absolutely breathtaking and one of the main highlights from our day.

We used Sweetwater Strings for our recent wedding at Gainey Ranch Golf Club at the end of September. Eily answered any questions I had during the planning and was really accommodating in my song requests for the ceremony. We selected Beauty & the Beast for the bridal party processional, Canon in D for the bride processional and We Found Love for the recessional. We utilized the string trio for a guest count of about 100 people, and they arrived on time. The group will also be in the attire of your choosing. We went with all black. The music was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we had envisioned for our ceremony. Having a string quartet at our wedding was such an amazing touch! Sweetwater Strings played during our ceremony and cocktail hour and did an amazing job! They had a long list of songs to pick from, and were very receptive to our special requests! In the process leading up to the wedding they always responded very quickly to emails and were professional and prompt. I was even able to walk down the aisle to a Harry Potter song! This review is long over due. As with most brides, I had to work with a strict STRICT budget. I had a very informal wedding over at Papago Park and Sweetwater Strings upheld the class of it all! Something goes wrong at every wedding and I was no exception. A good wedding band/musicians will play good music. An EXCEPTIONAL wedding band/musician will not only play good music but know how to "go with the flow"- this was the case with Sweetwater Strings. My wedding started an hour late and the whole structure of the reception got mixed up but they held it all together and made such a classy ambiance for my guests. They were charming, presentable, kind, and affordable. God bless these people!! I had a violinist and guitarist - worked wonderfully. Thank you, Sweetwater Strings!!!!!!!!!!

Sweetwater Strings played at my wedding ceremony on 3/9/13 and they were wonderful! I originally located them through a Google search and was so pleased with the outcome! Eily, the owner and musician, was so easy to work with! I'm a bit of a planner, and Eily always responded with prompt, thorough e-mails! We had a few music selections that we liked for our ceremony that were unique, and they were able to get the sheet music and played these with no issue! We chose the guitar/violin duo for our ceremony, which was very reasonably priced, and they were fantastic! Guests were very complimentary of the music! I would highly recommend Sweetwater Strings for any event!

We surprised the bride (my mom) with live music from Sweetwater Strings for her wedding gift. She thought the DJ would be playing recorded music, but instead a String Trio was waiting at the end of the aisle for her! She was in tears- the music was beautiful and they even had the songs she wanted in their playlist already so it was super easy for us. The owner was very helpful and professional and even met with me in person to talk over all the details to make sure it stayed a surprise. After we were done with pictures I heard them at cocktail hour playing Coldplay and all this other contemporary stuff, which was a cool switch from the traditional wedding music we had earlier. Sweetwater Strings made for the perfect wedding gift and the music was certainly memorable for everyone! I would definitely recommend them to anyone planning to have live music for their wedding!

I had envisioned having strings in my wedding ceremony, and when I found their website, I was SO impressed! They have samples for you to listen to, and give you many song choices. They did such a great job!

Absolutely wonderful! We just got back from our honeymoon and I was looking forward to writing this review the entire time. We had a strings trio with violin, viola and cello. They played for our ceremony and dinner music for the reception. My soloist even sang with them. They were outstanding, lovely music and lovely people! We highly recommend!!

I live in Chicago and just got married in Scottsdale, so I hired Sweetwater after reading other reviews and listening to their songs online. Throughout the process, Eily was in close touch and gave great advice on songs that would be best for each step of our ceremony and cocktail hour. We were more than happy with their sound at our wedding and we're very picky about music. Our guests told us they loved the quartet, too - they even had fun picking out the current songs that were played during cocktails. The people at Sweetwater strings are excellent. Their repertoir is very large. They have all types of music. The were also extremely accomodating adding new music that we had specifically requested.

Sweetwater Strings' quartet performed for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at Royal Palms this December, and we were simply delighted with them. True professionals. We chose selections from their outstanding repertoire, which they played beautifully. Easy to plan with, and very responsive to e-mail and phone calls. They arrived early to set up, cued themselves perfectly to the ceremony, and transitioned seamlessly to cocktail hour and the reception. Our wedding was small, just 30 guests, but the ensemble neither overpowered nor got lost in the ambient noise. Every one of our guests told us how much they enjoyed the music, and I really think the day wouldn't have been the same without Sweetwater Strings. My sister and I are both violinists, and we can attest to the professional polish and expertise of this group. My husband and I were expecting to pay about twice what they charged for the four hours they played, and we would have been happy to do so. We would love to work with them again. Hire this outstanding group with full confidence that they'll make your wedding (or any other event) sparkle.

My parents decided to hire SWS to play at our ceremony and I am so glad that they did! The music was beautiful and many of our guests commented on how beautiful the music was. I truly consider myself lucky to have found Eily. The music she planned for my daughter’s ceremony was perfect. She arrived before time to be sure she would start playing early and even stayed after the ceremony to be sure everything was perfect.
