s look great, even though we're only beginner Lindy Hoppers. We couldn't recommend Mark more for private lessons for whatever the occasion!
Swing it Seattle did both a 30 minute lesson for our wedding, as well as DJing the event. We couldn't have asked for more. Having a 30 minute lesson was a GREAT ice breaker to our ...
audience of 5 or 6 separate circles, and our guests met people they would have never otherwise interacted with. Further, having that baseline dancing information (which is admittedly light, because it's a 30 minute lesson) helped the dancing get started in a very inclusive way. Instead of the weird 'okay everyone untz untz now', people were able to dabble with the skills they just picked up. I could not recommend it more.
As for Mark and Katie specifically, they were wonderful and gracious. Beyond the song list they asked for, there was very little that needed to be managed on our end ahead of time, and as far as I could tell, very little that needed to be managed from the event coordinator's perspective (although admittedly I was busy with other things that day).
Highly recommend Swing It Seattle for any wedding you want to have a little bit non-traditional with a Swing lesson. :)

ome light choreography for our first dance. We really enjoyed having that structure, and the guests enjoyed watching the swing dancing He was wonderful to work with, very responsive, and easy to get ahold of. He did an amazing job of keeping everything moving along at the wedding as well as bringing all the guests together to learn how to swing dance. We would definitely recommend him to anyone!

r DJ and music manager for the wedding. Our experience with Mark was exemplary. He was patient and encouraging when instructing us - always kind with his feedback. He was extremely diligent and highly effective at teaching. Our first dance was a huge hit at our wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed preparing for it with Mark. He was very professional and reliable during the wedding day. He did a 30 minute intro to swing class for our guests and everyone had a blast. We highly recommend Mark for a wedding for instructor, choreographer and DJ.

layed we thought - BORING! Let's DANCE! We chose a big band swing tune, found Mark, and 6 or 8 lessons later we were awesome! Most of our guests just said 'WOW!'
Mark loves what he does. He's super patient and makes it very easy for you. He'll make you look like a star.
We take lessons from Mark each year and get remarried at the Bellagio. Each year they play our song and my wife and I dance in front of the fountains just because it's so damn fun!! Thanks Mark!
After taking Lindy lessons with Mark previously, we knew we wanted him to choreograph a routine for our first dance when we got engaged. He was awesome to work with, gave us sugges...
tions for songs, and incorporated all the elements we requested into our choreography. The dance was so fun and it KILLED at our wedding! All our guests and even the bartender said it was the best first dance they had seen. Two different couples who attended our wedding later had Mark do their first dance too. Working with Mark was a great experience and made for one of the most memorable parts of our wedding!

ghly recommend Mark to anyone wanting to learn or improve their swing. Looking back, it was a really fun part of the planning process and a good investment. We loved our weekly lesson and improved fairly quickly all due to Mark. Our guests were surprised how good we were (thanks to Mark)!
My wife and I had worked with Mark before in a couple of group lessons, however the individual attention that he gave to us during our private lessons was really something special....
Mark took his time and tailored the choreography to both our style and our skill level. He even helped us with out song selection and gave some really good pointers and cues to follow. Overall we very much enjoyed working with Mark for our first dance. For reference (and maybe inspiration) we danced to half of "Fly me to the moon" and then stepped it up to "Sing, Sing, Sing". It was a huge success! Thanks Mark

Mark and Katie are amazing! We have taken their Swing dance classes before, and Mark's energy and happiness is infectious. We booked Mark for our first dance choreography and also ...
booked him to lead a 1-hour dance intro class for our guests at the reception (highly recommended, all my family and friends LOVED it). Mark was super helpful with suggestions for songs, and then did excellent choreography. He kept in mind our level of experience with the dance and was endlessly patient with us as we learnt how to memorize a whole dance (not something we've tried before). Our first dance and the intro lesson are still talked about by my friends. Thank you so much, Mark!

reception, which folks loved. Mark then DJed for the night, giving us swing music for the first few hours then, once the atmosphere evolved, more contemporary dance and party music. I would strongly recommend them for your even!
