The staff at Swiss were wonderful to work with, immediately understood the type of cake I was looking for and baked it into delicious perfection! I am still dreaming about our wedding cake months later and wishing I could have another bite! I highly recommend them to make your wedding cake dreams come true!

I'm so happy I went with Swiss for my wedding cake!! Everyone there is very easy to work with, and they're very responsive to questions. I came in with a specific design in mind, and they absolutely nailed it!! I also decided that I wanted a partially chocolate wedding cake, and they were extremely accommodating. The bottom tier of my cake was wedding cake with raspberry preserves and the top two tiers were chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. AMAZING! I got so many compliments on the cake, and I was so incredibly excited when I saw it for the first time. I would definitely recommend Swiss!!

There is nothing better than a Swiss wedding cake! We loved our cake and so did our guests! It was delicious and beautiful, and everyone I spoke with was always very kind and personable. My fiancé did want some flavor variation for his Grooms Cake, so we did end up picking a different vendor for that. Swiss does a simple and yummy chocolate cake as the anther option to wedding cake and were very open to suggesting another baker when we said we were hoping for something else. I highly recommend Swiss for every wedding cake!

Our cake was delicious and GORGEOUS! We did the almond cake with Strawberry filling and I couldn't be happier. We planned our wedding from Chicago so we were unable to do a tasting ahead of time, we truly had to rely on reviews. 100% so happy we booked Swiss Confectionery.

We were always going to go with Swiss, it wasn't even a question. I simply believe we had the prettiest cake Swiss ever made. It was exactly like we discussed and what I was envisioning. I LOVED the flowers with the gold leaves. I had a lot of guests who never had a traditional New Orleans wedding cake tell me they never eat wedding cake but ate multiple slices of mine. Because it was incredible, like always. You can never, ever go wrong with Swiss.

The cake tasting process was super easy! They made exactly what I wanted and the delivery was seamless.

I LOVED MY WEDDING CAKE! I almost didn’t want to cut into it because I thought it was so pretty. We went with traditional almond cake and pineapple filling, all white buttercream, fleur de lis designs and fondant magnolias. For anyone reading this and unsure about the almond cake with pineapple filling combo....just trust me....It was as delicious as it was beautiful. It was perfect. I saw even our pickiest guests sneak a second piece. We even had the little bit of left over cake the next morning.....best breakfast ever!

Our cake was absolutely perfect, i could not have pictured a better cake. The idea I originally wanted, when discussing with my coordinator, I was advised not to do as it could potentially dye peoples mouths; she helped me come up with a secondary plan to fully execute the original vision that I had in mind. She went above and beyond and I could not be happier with the service that I received and the final cake that we were given. Not only was it stunning to look at, but the taste and flavor were impeccable.

Wow! Our cake was so delicious and beautiful. We wanted a simple style which was very easy to accommodate. The grooms cake was spot on with our request to show Saints’ pride. I can’t get over how tasty the pineapple filling was with super moist cake.

We got my daughters wedding cake from here. It was delicious and gorgeous! My daughter and her now husband picked the traditional almond with a raspberry filling. Laurie was very helpful at the cake tasting and afterwards answering my questions. We had guests commenting on how moist it was! Thanks Laurie and Swiss!!!

My guests are still talking about the cake, over 2 months later. We had both their almond cake with filling and a chocolate doberge cake and both were such a hit! My parents used them for their wedding as well, so it was so special to be able to have the same bakery and cakes at my wedding as they did theirs. They also said they could ship us our "cake topper" 1 year later for our anniversary rather than freezing our cake, which is great! Looking forward to eating this again on year 1.

Thank you soo much for answering my multiple calls and questions. We wanted a cake that fit the table at The Balcony Ballroom. This was exactly the look she wanted and it was beautiful! Cake was delicious guests got multiple slices and people asked us where is it from.. We highly recommend them and the prices are so much more reasonable than the other bakeries. Last minute we actually switched the look up and they were soo accommodating and they decorated the cake with the flowers exactly how we told them to. Thanks again for all the help.

My husband grew up having Swiss cakes for every family occasion, so we didn't even think about anywhere else. They are SO DELICIOUS and I don't typically even like almond flavor. The staff was really helpful in figuring out the right size for our guest count and I really appreciated being able to have different fillings for different layers - I know pineapple isn't everyone's cup of tea. The cake turned out beautifully (sidewinder style with flowers from our florist) and everyone loved it.

Very disappointed and wish I didn’t choose them for my wedding day. I went to the cake tasting which was delicious then. At the time I also brought in an image of the cake I wanted. Came the day of the wedding my cake was so plain and didn’t look anything like the image I presented. When I call to tell them I wasn’t happy, they could careless and never tried to do anything to make the situation better. It was my mom and my florist who came through and made it look like something. My guest said the cake they had was dry. So no I would not recommend this bakery. Prices are good but not worth it.

Delicious and beautiful wedding cake! Swiss was so accommodating because we kind of forgot about the cake until the last minute, and they schedule our "tasting" about a week before our wedding. Oops! It was delicious, and I will share left overs with my coworkers at my workplace- a NOLA Charter School this week. They will love it!

We were referred to Swiss Confectionery by our wedding venue and I couldn't be happier with the cake we received. I planned my wedding from Florida and was initially concerned that if would be difficult to get all of the details taken care of from so far away but they were so easy to work with and always quick to respond to all of my many questions. I absolutely loved the finished cake. It was exactly what I was looking for and tasted delicious.

I knew when I got engaged that I wanted to use Swiss Confectionery for my wedding cake. I used to work downtown, and at work birthday parties and other functions, we would always get our cakes from there and they were delicious. My wedding cake was exactly what I wanted-nothing too crazy or over the top, but classic and beautiful. It tasted so good too, and I got so many compliments from guests on how good it was. They are very reasonably priced, which makes it even better!

All the cakes were beautiful and delicious, so many complements on the presentation and taste. The lovely people at Swiss were so wonderful, and helpful in choosing our cakes. I highly recommend them when choosing your cakes.

I expected to be writing a much better review for Swiss. My family always chose Swiss for our wedding cakes, but mine fell short of my expectations. I asked for a design on the sides and it was delivered plain. It was so plain that you could see every wrinkle in the cake under the icing. And it was also dry, which is the last thing I expected. My cake tasting went so well and the cake was moist and delicious, but at the wedding, not so much. Sorry to say, I am very disappointed.

Swiss was awesome! It was an easy choice for us. Taste is the best in New Orleans and it looked perfect. Exactly how we envisioned. Not to mention, we are a same-sex couple, so in light of recent events, we really appreciate the wonderful service they provided for our special day. I would recommend 100%.

I want to start of by saying that my family and I have been ordering from Swiss for years, from birthday parties to christenings. The quality of their work has always been exceptional! When booking my venue, the base price of my cake was included in the price. Swiss was 1 of the 2 preferred vendors, so it was a no brainer who I was going with. I went to a Bridal Show at the Hyatt Hotel in New Orleans on June 7th, 2017. Of course, both cake vendors that my venue recommended was there and I was able to taste both cakes. Of course, Swiss's was more moist and savory. Fast forward to the night of my wedding, I felt like my cake was drier than the cake that was provided the night of the bridal show. The icing and decor was great but the cake seemed like they baked it a few days in advance and left it in the fridge too long. I was a disappointed with the dryness of it because I just knew Swiss would deliver for my wedding. My cake was also smeared on layer 2/3, but they just turned that part to the back ( I was such a calm bride it didn't ruin my night). Sidebar: My family has ordered 3 cakes since January 2018 and 1 of them was really moist and of Swiss quality. I think the moving of their business to a new location may have had them off of their game. They have moved to their new location though. All in all, I will give them one more chance in August for my husband's birthday to see if they have gotten back into the swing of their great quality work.

A New Orleans classic! The wedding cake was delicious and they decorated exactly as I had described as well as based on the photo I had found from Pinterest.

I was an out of town bride and was not able to taste the cake before hand. Swiss Confectionery delivered the cake promptly at the scheduled time and without any flaws to the icing. The cake was soft and moist and the icing was creamy without tasting overly buttery or sweet. I was floored at how good the cake tasted and would highly recommend Swiss Confectionery to any one in the future.

I am a native New Orleans bride who got married on 3/31/18 in New Orleans. The venue that I chose in New Orleans typically works with two bakeries. I visited the two bakeries and tried each of their cakes. Ms. Laurie was my contact person via email and she met us at the shop. She brought out samples of the cake and it was very delicious and I knew this was the bakery for my wedding cake. In terms of interactions, it was a pleasure working with Laurie to come up with the creative look for my wedding cake. After a few photos and descriptive words, she knew exactly what I wanted. On the day of the wedding, the cake looked awesome and was very delicious! I would highly recommend Swiss Confectionery for your wedding cake!

Everything was prefect. Although I didn’t get any cake the night of our wedding, our guest raves about how good they both tasted. They were very pretty and just as described. They worked with me over the phone as we were getting married in New Orleans but living in Atlanta. Swiss confectionery is the place to go for your wedding cake. Our cake turned out beautifully, and was delicious. They had the best value of any of the places we looked to get our wedding cake, in fact they were dramatically cheaper than most of the other places we went, and their cake was just as tasty! We had a very simple white cake that we had decorated with fresh flowers, and it was beautiful. They were very accommodating and the service was excellent. We aren't huge fans of wedding cake flavor, and so they made us a small yellow cake piece to try for free. They were so kind every step of the way, and delivery was included in the price of your cake.

Swiss Confectionery was a pleasure to work with. I gave them some ideas for our cake and they did an amazing job creating it! We got so many compliments on how delicious our cake was. :)

Laura was so amazing to work with! She was supportive, patient, and made us feel comfortable during this whole process. The Mom and pop feel of this Bakery won us over versus the factory feeling we had elsewhere. The wedding cake and grooms cake were executed perfectly, just as we envisioned. Swiss is actually the first vendor we took care of when we first got engaged. While a no thrills bakery, the reality is, they don't need to be because Swiss is amazing at what they do: wedding cakes! They did an amazing job, and all I had to do was show up! They took care of everything, and were always super quick to respond with any questions I had as I planned my April 22nd wedding from Washington, D.C. I would highly recommend!

Swiss made my wedding cake and my groom cake. My wedding cake was beautiful. It was exactly how I wanted, and it tasted so moist and delicious. My husband got a LSU themed grooms cake and it was exactly what he wanted as well. I didn't get to try the groom's cake but someone told me it was a little dry. Overall, I loved the service and attitudes of the workers, and I was happy with the way my cakes turned out.

Swiss was highly recommended by my venue and after visiting them I knew why. Their cakes are delicious. You can smell the sweetness as you are walking up to the store. They stick to the classic buttercream icing and I went with almond for the wedding cake. I emailed back and forth with Lori since I live out of town and only visited once. She was super helpful and was available to answer all my questions helping me select my cake size and design. The wedding cake came our better than I ever could have imagined and tasted great. It was a truly stunning cake and with how helpful they were I wish I could give them 6 stars. Love.

We had our reception at Pat O’s on the River, and Swiss was one of our choices for our cake allowance. We are so happy that we chose Swiss! They were extremely easy to work with, and our cakes were delicious (grooms and wedding cake). A couple of days before our wedding, I dropped off some items that we wanted on the wedding cake, and they had already been in touch with Pat O’s about set-up, etc. All we had to do was choose the cake, and they were even patient when we changed our mind a couple of times during our engagement. We would definitely recommend Swiss and plus, it has been around since 1921 so you really cannot go wrong.

Our cake was delicious. I was super impressed with the entire experience of ordering my cake at Swiss. When we went in to taste cakes, the gentleman who assisted us was so kind and helpful. He let us look through about 100 photos until we could show him exactly what we wanted. We wanted something simple and he helped us make that happen. He also encouraged us to have each tier of our cake a different filling since we couldn't decide on one. When we went back two weeks later to order the cake, he gave us a piece of cake to taste one more time just to be sure that's what we wanted. I also appreciated the professionalism of the staff. They sent a thank you email after our tasting and they checked in with us right before the wedding to make sure all details and arrangements were correct. The cake was fresh and still delicious when we got back from our honeymoon a week later. My husband and I are sad we have to wait a year to enjoy the top tier.

I cannot even begin to tell you how many compliments I have received on how pretty AND delicious our wedding cake was. Even days later when I brought some to work people were raving about it. Swiss makes a lovely, simple, delicious product and I will use and recommend them time and time again.

Everything from the design of the cake to the final product was perfect at Swiss! The staff is polite and professional! Did I mention they make beautiful, delicious cakes?

Flavor of our cake was great, but the decoration looked like it was done by a 9 year old. Had to hide it with flowers on top and around the cake. I think if you ask them to do a decoration like they have on their website, you're probably golden. Our mistake was asking them to do something else from a photo (which they said they could do). Didn't look a thing like it was supposed to. But as I said, the flavor was awesome.

Swiss did an amazing job with our cakes! They worked with us to make the selection process easy, the cakes both looked great, and they tasted delicious too!

We knew we wants to use Swiss from the beginning, it was only a matter of tasting their cakes, fillings, and how we wanted it to look! We went in for a cake tasting, choose traditional with a strawberry filling and we were NOT disappointed. The service during the cake tasting wasn't the best, as we waiting around for a while, but our service with them after that was fine. And the cake was delicious! We also weren't big on having a cake topper, so they created a beautiful gold bow made of fondant to go on top. They incorporated gold ribbon we wanted as well, which we purchased from Michaels. Our cake was perfect for our 150 guests!

Absolutely delicious!!! We ordered three cakes and all of them disappeared! All of our guests loved the beautiful cakes, they truly are the best in NOLA! The wedding cake was almond with pineapple filling (divine), the groom's cake was chocolate with chocolate filling (insane), and the 3rd cake was a birthday cake for my maid of honor who had a birthday that day...it was a yellow cake with chocolate filling (classic perfection). We ate ALL THREE in one day. All were delivered on time and in perfect condition, never buying anywhere else. Thank you Swiss Confectionery!

Beautiful wedding and groom cake. Worked with us on getting it there timely and without a delivery fee. Tasted great and was great deal for value. Unfortunately my mother in law couldn't either cake because they only work with soy products, so if that's a concern of yours you might consider a different provider, but the mother in law just ordered her own dessert from our venue, so it was fine. Lovely simple touches, would buy from them again in a second!
