The food is delicious and everyone will be talking about how good everything is for months to come, trust me! After speaking to her more we realized she is an absolute BOSS who can do anything possible when it comes to event planning! We hired her to be our wedding coordinator which was our best decision possible, besides actually getting married of course. Knowing she would be around reduced our stress level in half immediately. Soraya also had wonderful contacts to share with us that she’s gathered from her years of experience of other amazing vendors— all of whom were also highly credible and very talented people. She is so dependable and easy to get in touch with. She was always available for a quick text check-in or phone call meeting within next 24 hours. She will be able to fix literally ANY problem that may come your way and handle it before you even know about it! She effortlessly brought together two ethnic traditions together in a beautiful and fun manner. All of our guests loved her and still talk about how she so flawlessly handled the entire night. She kept us sane through planning, gave us the wedding of our dreams and helped us host an event that was enjoyed by so many! Hire her— you will not regret it!!!!

Everything was absolutely delicious (and Soraya made sure my husband and I had some food to eat before all the mingling with guests at the cocktail party!). Lastly, our wedding was held outdoors where we “built our own” venue. SYB came fully prepared to cook delicious food on site and left the place perfectly clean! Couldn’t be happier with the team and would recommend them to anyone!

vices is top notch. I would strongly recommend Soraya’s services for your event (our event was a wedding), especially if you have cultural elements at your event. She listens intently, she will study/learn your culture, and she will deliver exactly what you ask for (unlike other caterers and planners that I talked to before stumbling upon Soraya). Fortunately for us, she knew more about the Persian culture than I did (and I was born in Iran). She is from a multi-cultural background herself and has built a wide network of relationship with chefs and vendors from various backgrounds. I would also strongly recommend couples to pay for her ‘day of’ or ‘month of’ coordination services. It is worth every penny. My wife and I weren’t sure if we wanted to pay extra for that. Thank God we decided to opt in for her ‘day of coordination’ services and if I had to do it all over, I would probably pay for her ‘month of coordination’ services. If you can’t afford her ‘month of’ services, make sure that you at least get her ‘day of’ services. I promise you that it will be 1000% worth it. Ask Soraya and she’ll explain to you why you need it. Also, she has a way of making things work. Soraya, thank you for making our wedding the best day/night of our life yet. You have an awesome team too!

I planned everything last minute due to such uncertainty and Soraya was there with contacts for me from someone to rent chairs from literally last minute as my other vendor fell through. She connected me to the most amazing videographer when we decided last minute that we wanted one. Soraya has such amazing relationships with all these vendors and I knew I could trust her judgement with these referrals. In all this uncertainty, the only thing I was certain about was that any question I had for Soraya, she would give me her best answer or contact. She works all hours and is always accessible for any question you may have. She put my mind at ease and for someone who thought that I could plan this wedding on my own (I’m stubborn like that), I’m so glad I had her helping me plan my special day!

We also had stations with homemade artichoke dip and guacamole which was decorative and delicious. The pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiched with eyeballs (green olives on top) were a great Halloween sandwich. Everyone also raves about the meatballs! Needless to say everyone left full and happy. Soraya came early and she and her staff had everything ready in plenary of time. Her bartender did a great job and well as the server. Both were pleasant and efficient. It was a great party! I’m confident Soraya can handle any party, event, or wedding and make it beautiful and delicious

It was perfect and they were so flexible - even made a last minute change when we asked to add a coffee service the day before the wedding. Finally, the service was exceptional - the staff looked great and were friendly. They made sure to bring me appetizers and whatever I wanted to drink while we were running around taking pictures. I had an issue with my centerpieces basically an hour before the ceremony began and she was quick to call and situate it for me. She came to check in on us and made executive decisions when necessary in order to allow us relax and have a stress free day. While taking pictures her and her team made sure we had more than enough food and drinks for our cocktail hour. (Even if it meant walking through a blueberry field to find us) Through out the night she cleaned and set up stations And made everything beautiful and organized. She even had my buffet dinner personally plated for us so we didn’t have to go stand in line. Honestly my husband and I both agreed that hiring her was the best decision we made for ourselves. Not only is she a multicultural wedding planner, she also comes from a mixed religion background and understood first hand the sensitivity and some of the family issues that it may bring. Soraya was there every step of the way and provided the utmost guidance and support. She had such a positive attitude and even at times when I got stressed she always assured me things will be okay. My fiance and I decided that we wanted a modern wedding with a romantic feel. Soraya immediately matched us up with some of her vendors and set up conference calls with them, so we can get introduced. Her vendors were amazing and super helpful and were able to really bring our wedding vision to life. We got so many compliments the day of our wedding on how beautiful everything looked! We even did a dual ceremony - one Catholic and one Hindu ceremony over a two day wedding period. I really could not have done all the logistics, planning and management on my own and would forever be grateful for the hard word Soraya and her team put in. us advice, contacted our vendors to introduce herself and help create our timelines. She came early the day of, just to make sure she and her team had enough time to set up. She brought some staff to handle setting the tables; linens, dishware, glasses, etc...she went and set up our gift card table, place card table and other added touches I wanted. It was so worth hiring the extra staff for set up, since my caterer only provided the food. She also stayed the whole time and made sure to pack up my necessities. She made my mind at ease! I HIGHLY recommend her and I recommend hiring a day of planner even if you budget only allows that. Soraya's effort and attention to details was flawless and she is so easy to work with!

With everything going on in my life, plus the short timeframe (the wedding date we selected was 6 months out from the day we secured the venue), and the fact that I am a perfectionist, I knew I was going to need help. I was lucky enough to come across SYB Event Planning while on Thumbtack. I interviewed a few companies and ended up selecting SYB because Soraya, the owner, and I really clicked while talking on the phone. While I wasn't necessarily looking for a cultural wedding, I knew she would understand some of the nuances with our families because my husband and I come from different cultural backgrounds. Soraya specializes in taking the time to understand different cultures and she goes out of her way to embed as much or as little as you want of you or your partner's culture into your wedding. I'm so glad I had Soraya for the entire wedding planning process and for the day of the wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and totally exceeded my expectations (this is a perfectionist speaking...just for some perspective). I don't think that could have been possible without having Soraya helping along the way. She challenged me to think about things I would have never thought of and took care of all the details. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as successful as it could be. She even drove over 90 miles each way to get us a cute favor that we really wanted for our guests...without hesitating! We were expecting about 100 people and initially were not sure if we want a event planner but we are just so glad we went with one in the end. She was on top of everything and made sure every small detail was taken care of. Her recommendations for caterer and liquor suppliers were excellent. Food was top notch and we saved a lot on the liquour even though we had a pretty well stocked bar with all kinds of liquor. All in all we were very happy with Soraya's event planning services and would definitely recommend her.
