Soraya and the event planning team are just who you need to hire for your wedding in order for things to go as smooth as possible on your special day. For us we hired her to be our wedding day coordinator, caterer, and the bar service. She and her team really went above and beyond what we expected out of her. She helped to think of details we wouldn’t have thought of and decorated our venue so beautifully, the food was SO delicious; the guests couldn’t stop talking about it, and they made great cocktails for everyone to enjoy. We said it a few times but we may have canceled our wedding if it wasn’t for her, as planning a COVID wedding was as stressful as you think it is. Additionally Soraya was extremely professional, kind, and very respectful. I cannot recommend her enough. If you want a stress free and a beautifully executed wedding, don’t look any further past SYB Event Planning!

Our original wedding plans shifted due to the pandemic, Soraya was there throughout the entire thing, she reassured and guided us during the uncertain time of planning. I don't know how we would have done it without her. Soraya is the best! She takes complete responsibility in delivering more than what she promised. She listens to our needs, ideas and plans and works out a detailed plan of what she can offer to make our event successful. She has very good contacts for catering service, decorators and rentals. Soraya is an amazing caterer. She has now done a great job with my adult Halloween party two years in a row. Everyone was impressed with the creativity of the Halloween themed menu but more importantly with the delicious food. We had delicious passed appetizers including scallops and bacon, crab cakes, spinach filo squares and garlic chicken skewers. We also had stations with homemade artichoke dip and guacamole which was decorative and delicious. The pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiched with eyeballs (green olives on top) were a great Halloween sandwich. Everyone also raves about the meatballs! Needless to say everyone left full and happy. Soraya came early and she and her staff had everything ready in plenary of time. Her bartender did a great job and well as the server. Both were pleasant and efficient. It was a great party! I’m confident Soraya can handle any party, event, or wedding and make it beautiful and delicious

Simply the best event planner ever. Creates Epic events.

I have been working with SYB event planing and Soraya for a little while now as a photographer. Her work ethic and professionalism is beyond measure. She is detail oriented, energetic, full of ideas, incredibly enthusiastic and super attentive. She puts her heart and soul into every event and her positive energy is infectious. I can’t think of anyone else I would hire when planing an event.

We used SYBs to cater our wedding because we were looking for an option that was slightly less expensive than what our wedding planner suggested. We also used them for rentals and to coordinate the setup and services the day of. I will absolutely be recommending SYBs to my friends. They were amazing, the food was phenomenal, and the service was exceptional. Whenever Soraya was at one of our planning meetings/phone calls everyone's mood was improved. Her energy and positivity is contagious and was like a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of the planning. Soraya was a pleasure to be around during the planning process and she did an amazing job completely transforming our venue. She got a feel for what I liked and throughout the night I was amazed again and again how she made it so beautiful. It was like I did myself but a thousand times better. It was so beautiful and tasteful. I put a bunch of decorations in a box - I had specific plans for some of them and others were just in there in case she thought she could use them. It was such a fun surprise whenever I saw them. I also cannot say enough about the food. Everyone loved it, and it looked beautiful. I was so happy that they gave us the leftovers to take home so my family an I could effortlessly enjoy wonderful food for days to come. It was perfect and they were so flexible - even made a last minute change when we asked to add a coffee service the day before the wedding. Finally, the service was exceptional - the staff looked great and were friendly. They made sure to bring me appetizers and whatever I wanted to drink while we were running around taking pictures. There is no downside to using SYBs. Thank you to Soraya and to everyone at SYBs!

Soraya was amazing in every way. She was able to deftly organize a complete wedding in a matter of a few weeks in mid- October 2018 that included wonderful food designed around a custom tailored menu, facilitate catering arrangements and most importantly, seamlessly orchestrate the entire wedding reception with ease on the special day. Her insights and recommendations were invaluable, saved us money and added to the overall experience. The food was five star quality blending a combination of Middle Eastern and international cuisine for a truly blended evening of cultures between my Arabic heritage and my husbands American culture. We asked Soraya to coordinate the day of our wedding this past September. She was extremely helpful in many ways, she met with us 2 weeks before at the venue and arrived prepared with a binder of many ideas and opinions. We collaborated our thoughts and made the true wedding vision come alive. On the day of she was really on top of everything. I had an issue with my centerpieces basically an hour before the ceremony began and she was quick to call and situate it for me. She came to check in on us and made executive decisions when necessary in order to allow us relax and have a stress free day. While taking pictures her and her team made sure we had more than enough food and drinks for our cocktail hour. (Even if it meant walking through a blueberry field to find us) Through out the night she cleaned and set up stations And made everything beautiful and organized. She even had my buffet dinner personally plated for us so we didn’t have to go stand in line. Honestly my husband and I both agreed that hiring her was the best decision we made for ourselves. The night went by as if there was not a worry in the world, we really got to sit back and relax and honestly she pulled through with that promise for us. Thank you so much for your hard work. I found Soraya after looking for wedding coordinators on the Wire. As soon as we spoke we instantly connected as she was great and understanding what I needed. She coordinated our floral arrangements with the best florist in town and managed my wedding day with true professionalism. I relied on her for great advise and am truly grateful for her dedication and pure willingness to make my wedding day a dream.

Soraya was seriously the best! We got married in Holderness NH and lived in Vermont. She was THE BEST with communication. She was always responding right away to my million questions and coordinated a tasting for our parents in their own home in Boston! She was super flexible with our backyard BBQ requests and the food, (even traveling up to NH) was fresh, hot and great! Our wedding was super DIY and we had no extra help. Soraya brought another person to help clean up during the night and serve our guest's needs. She truly went over the top with helping our reception flow. She communicated with the DJ and made the timing of food and dessert perfect! She is also just super nice. (She even taught us how to properly cut the cake for a good pic!) I would totally recommend SYB planning!!

I had a million questions leading up to our event, and she was always available to answer my questions right away! I would highly recommend her for any event! I will certainly be using her again! I used SYB Catering for a corporate anniversary party for my company. Soraya was very helpful. She came in and did a sampling of all the food we chose to have at our event, she recommended other vendors for us to use for photo booths, photographer, DJ, etc. The food was great and all of the employees were delightful and organized. We hired Soraya and SYB Event Planning Services to help with wedding planning services. We found out that she also has a catering division. We did a tasting at a couple of other places prior and Soraya wanted us to do a comparison tasting. We were blown away by the taste and creativity her chefs and team offered us. We already had a couple of vendors selected when we met Soraya and she worked very well with them and helped us also find the rest of the vendors we needed. I come from a cultural background where my parents are very particular. I knew after I got engaged that I needed not only a full service wedding planner, but someone who understands how to blend to cultures/religions together. I found Soraya online and immediately gave her a call and after getting off the phone with her, I knew she would be the perfect fit for us! Not only is she a multicultural wedding planner, she also comes from a mixed religion background and understood first hand the sensitivity and some of the family issues that it may bring. We even did a dual ceremony - one Catholic and one Hindu ceremony over a two day wedding period. I really could not have done all the logistics, planning and management on my own and would forever be grateful for the hard word Soraya and her team put in. I hired Soraya and her team for Day of Coordinating Services and she was AMAZING. She was very responsive, took the time to learn about my then fiance and I, she met with us, gave us advice, contacted our vendors to introduce herself and help create our timelines. She came early the day of, just to make sure she and her team had enough time to set up. She brought some staff to handle setting the tables; linens, dishware, glasses, etc...she went and set up our gift card table, place card table and other added touches I wanted. It was so worth hiring the extra staff for set up, since my caterer only provided the food. She also stayed the whole time and made sure to pack up my necessities. She made my mind at ease! I HIGHLY recommend her and I recommend hiring a day of planner even if you budget only allows that. Soraya's effort and attention to details was flawless and she is so easy to work with!

Planning a destination wedding in Newport, RI in 6 months while living hundreds of miles away, working full time, moving once cross-country, finding a new job, starting a new job, etc, etc, is no easy task, even with a wedding planner! With everything going on in my life, plus the short timeframe (the wedding date we selected was 6 months out from the day we secured the venue), and the fact that I am a perfectionist, I knew I was going to need help. I was lucky enough to come across SYB Event Planning while on Thumbtack. I interviewed a few companies and ended up selecting SYB because Soraya, the owner, and I really clicked while talking on the phone. While I wasn't necessarily looking for a cultural wedding, I knew she would understand some of the nuances with our families because my husband and I come from different cultural backgrounds. Soraya specializes in taking the time to understand different cultures and she goes out of her way to embed as much or as little as you want of you or your partner's culture into your wedding. I'm so glad I had Soraya for the entire wedding planning process and for the day of the wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and totally exceeded my expectations (this is a perfectionist speaking...just for some perspective). I don't think that could have been possible without having Soraya helping along the way. She challenged me to think about things I would have never thought of and took care of all the details. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as successful as it could be. She even drove over 90 miles each way to get us a cute favor that we really wanted for our guests...without hesitating! I didn't even ask her, but when she heard me talking about what I would like to do if the place was closer, she just jumped in and said she would take care of it. I'm so thankful for everything Soraya did to make our special day a success and would highly recommend her to anyone trying to plan a wedding.

We are very happy with SYB event planning. We wanted to have a wedding celebration in our backyard and did not want to spend too much yet wanted it look classy. With Soraya's help, we managed to do just that. She was great to work with, always accessible and very resourceful! We were expecting about 100 people and initially were not sure if we want a event planner but we are just so glad we went with one in the end. She was on top of everything and made sure every small detail was taken care of. Her recommendations for caterer and liquor suppliers were excellent. Food was top notch and we saved a lot on the liquour even though we had a pretty well stocked bar with all kinds of liquor. All in all we were very happy with Soraya's event planning services and would definitely recommend her.

We had the most amazing wedding day and wanted to take the time to thank Soraya of SYB Event Planning Services for helping us through this wedding planning process. Her guidance and support was invaluable! While having grown up, gone to college and meeting in Boston, my fiance and I, now live in Arizona and have definitely wanted a New England wedding. We decided to hire Soraya, S.Y.B Event Planning to help with planning our wedding. It was truly one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding. She is a true professional and just has a way about her to make you feel comfortable. She truly knows her stuff. The comfort level that we had the day of the wedding was awesome, because I got to enjoy getting ready and spending time with my bridal party, not worry that something would be missed or go wrong. My husband and I cannot begin to emphasize how wonderful of a performance Soraya and her team displayed at our recent 80th birthday celebration event. It was truly amazing to see how great and magnificent everything looked. The birthday lady was so taken aback by what had been done in her honor that she was at a loss for words. Everything from the setting, flowers, lighting, attentive service, cordial staff, etc....was magnificent. The décor was truly stunning. The food was delectable, well done, and to die for. Everyone in attendance was beyond themselves on how "over the top" the party was. Soraya is very easy to work with and helps her clients achieve their ultimate desired goals.
