Sycamore Bend

We are a new venue so we currently have weekend availability in 2023! Sycamore Bend, one of our Southern Dream Venues, is centrally located in Wilmington, NC on a 12-acre historic property. Imagine your venue being held on a beautifully landscaped estate which includes a picturesque stable, sprawling green pastures and open lawn surrounded by pristine white fencing. The Grounds at Sycamore Bend can be used for weddings, rehersal dinners and other outdoor events. To make your wedding day truly memorable, in addition to The Grounds at Sycamore Bend, we recommend you include the Sycamore Bend Manor in your wedding plans. This historic home, built in 1818, is the perfect space for your wedding party to gather for your day. Included in the Manor is a one-of-a-kind bridal suite with room for the entire bridal party to mingle and prepare their hair and makeup. For the groom and his groomsmen, there is a unique space including a 93-inch flatscreen TV, a pool table, dart board, and plenty of seating to relax. Facilities and Capacity: The Grounds at Sycamore Bend has several very large open spaces for your wedding, reception, rehearsal dinner or other party. Next to the stable is a covered concrete driveway with room for 125 people or if you plan or more guests, there is ample space for tents. Inside the stables is a handicapped bathroom and 2 portable bathrooms are included in the rates.. Sycamore Bend can handle a wedding up to 250 guests. Additional amenities at the Grounds at Sycamore Bend include mesh Wi-Fi covering the entire estate, 45+ Sonos outdoor speakers, world-class hydro-clay tennis court with lights for evening play, regulation beach volleyball court, stocked fish pond, and peaceful walking paths along a tidal creek. You might also see one of out retired show horses grazing in one of the pastures. The Grounds at Sycamore Bend has options for on-site parking up to 50 cars. For larger weddings we recommend using a local shuttle service, or that your guests Uber or carpool. Services Offered: Sycamore Bend is a venue-only rental. You hire your dream team and tailor the venue to suit your needs and theme and we will coordinate with your team prior to work the logistics of their set up with them.
