When we initially contacted her, Sydney was responsive and up front with her pricing. We did an amazing engagement session with her on the west side of Mt Tam and down on Stinson Beach. Our wedding photos are absolutely incredibly and we will cherish them for the rest of our lives. We cannot recommend Sydney enough!

Sydney was such a wonderful wedding photographer. Her Assistant Erica was fabulous too! They were the perfect combination of professional and fun we were looking for. Sydney puts in so much work before the wedding getting to know you as a couple, so that she can show up and capture your day in a very unique and personalized way. Anyone can see by her gallery that she is an awesome photographer, but hopefully by her reviews you can see how much a wonderful person she is to work with. Would definitely book with her again!!

I am a Northern California photographer with an approach of honest storytelling - I document genuine emotion. My work is about people, relationships and the moments that matter most.  I photograph weddings throughout Sonoma County, Napa Valley, Marin, and destinations beyond for couples who value connection, presence, and imagery that feels honest to who they are. My approach is rooted in creating a calm and comfortable experience while documenting your day as it naturally unfolds. I’ll guide you when needed, but I never want your wedding to feel like a production or constant photoshoot. The moments that matter most are usually the ones you never planned for — the quiet in-between moments, the laughter, the feeling of being fully there with the people you love most. The couples I work with often tell me they want photos that feel timeless, emotional, and natural without feeling overly posed. More than anything, I want you to feel fully present on your wedding day and trust that every meaningful moment is being preserved with care. At the end of it all, my goal is simple: to create photographs that bring you back to not just how your wedding looked, but how it felt.

ust absolutely flawless, but her passion is what struck me. “A capturer of love”, she calls herself. The way that Syd and Kyle were able to capture the emotion of our wedding day was indescribable. I love my wife more than anything in this world. My dream was to be able to look back at my wedding day and relive the moments in my head. I wanted to feel the emotion of that day. The pictures that Syd and Kyle took gave me more than that. When i see the photos, I can hear the sounds of laughter, the music, the sound of celebration. I am forever indebted to these two for that. Their work is one of a kind. Their professionalism is untouched. They cared for us, helped us with things that are way out of a photographer’s scope of practice. But more than anything, they added to the immense amount of love that was already in the room. They treated us like family. On behalf of the Rivera-Oatis’, I promise you, Syd and Kyle will take amazing care of you. Give them an extra big plate of food because when you see your photos for the first time, you’ll feel like you could never truly repay them for the incredible work they were able to do on your special day.

shoot, my then fiancé and I took her to Land’s End in SF. We had so much fun hiking through the forestry and running across the beach! I expressed my concern to her about the lighting the day prior not knowing what to expect, but Sydney did an amazing job capturing the warm tones that I love. We used her pictures for our wedding invitations and received many compliments on the beautiful pictures. Sydney would frequently check in before the wedding day, making sure I was stress-free and had everything in order. A week before the wedding, we met via FaceTime to go over the day and the photo opportunities in the backyard. Sydney wanted to make sure she had as much info as possible going into the wedding to be as prepared as possible. She also asked if I had any special requests for photos, wanting to make sure she didn’t miss any moments I wanted to be captured. Day of, Sydney and her assistant were on top of everything. From helping me get ready, to staging/posing, and even making sure we ate and truly enjoyed our day (which we did!!) They both seamlessly gathered and posed family members young and old. We got many wonderful family photos that we will cherish forever :) (this was something I wanted to make we captured). Aside from the awesome photos, Sydney went above and beyond, making sure everything was perfect, my make up was on point, I was calm and comfortable...etc. She is such a sweet and warm person, my whole family loved her and commented on how great of a job she did (it’s not easy rounding up tons of family members)! Long story short, I was elated with our wedding photos! They turned out perfectly and truly captured the essence of our super fun day! All my friends commented on how beautiful the pictures came out. Sydney and her partner did an amazing job at photographing not only the big memorable moments, but also the small details usually get overlooked. She is a pleasure to work with and is very affordable! She is now our go-to photographer and a great friend! I recommend Sydney to anyone who wants their special day to be captured at its true essence. She’ll make it happen!
