Opening for events starting May 2021! Historic and timelessly elegant, Sylvan Ridge Farm is perched on a wooded mountainside overlooking the pristine Delaware Valley. Our mid-19th C. farmhouse, cottage, and event barn have been transformed into a wholly unique venue, with the design insights of revered architect Peter Bohlin and the unmatched skill of the Pennsylvania Amish. Guests enjoy total solitude on the secluded 193 acres, yet the farm is only 10 minutes away from Interstate 84 and historic Milford, PA, with easy access from New York City.
Sylvan Ridge Farm's event barn (in the final stages of construction) is one-of-a-kind! In one sense it is traditional and historic, standing on the footprint of the original 1800s barn. Amish craftsmen from Lancaster County erected our new mortise & tenon timber frame, which incorporates the 14-foot-wide fireplace that survived the deterioration of the old barn. In another sense, the structure is fresh and innovative. It includes four brand new restrooms, a hydraulic elevator for wheelchair access between levels, and a 60-foot wall of windows looking out over the woodland landscape. Most unique of all? Ethically sourced, richly colored, supremely durable Brazilian hardwoods were used throughout the building! Whether dancing under the soaring rafters of the main reception space or enjoying a drink in the rustic cocktail bar, at Sylvan Ridge Farm your guests will experience a barn venue like no other.
From secluded courtyard to sweeping lawn to mature forests, Sylvan Ridge Farm surrounds guests inside a breathtaking natural sanctuary. Despite this shared backdrop, no two weddings are the same! At Sylvan Ridge, customization to each couple's taste and preferences isn't just allowed—it's encouraged. We can connect you with our exclusive list of experienced event planners and top-notch vendors, but you'll also have the option to go the DIY route and/or use vendors you already know and love. Best of all, for our standard full-weekend weddings, instead of limited access within certain hours on set days, the property—barn, farmhouse, cottage, hot tub, pool, and grounds—is 100% yours for an entire four-day weekend, with lodging on-site for 15 guests! After all, stress is the last thing you need at the biggest event of your life, so at Sylvan Ridge Farm you get ample time to relax with your wedding party and prepare the space as you desire.
