My husband and I recently held our wedding at Sylvanside Farm and words cannot describe how wonderful the experience was! The property is absolutely STUNNING, which you can tell from pictures, but in person it is like entering into a fairytale world. We had looked at other venues in the area, but once we saw Sylvanside the decision was made. I loved that you had so many sites you can choose from for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We ended up having our ceremony in the orchard, cocktail hour in the stone barn, and reception in the poplar barn, and our guest commented on how they felt they got to experience the whole property. Beyond just how stunning and versatile the property is, we can't say enough about how helpful and accommodating Terri and Jeff were throughout the entire experience. From the get go, they provided helpful guides for everything including a vendor list. While many venues we looked at had lists of allowed or required vendors, Sylvanside's list felt like a collection of experts that made the process of selecting vendors so easy. Additionally, all the included items (tables, chairs, decor, furniture, lawn games) that come with Sylvanside are an INCREDIBLE value add and time saver! We went with the 46 hour package and being able to stay on the property the night before, as well as the night after the wedding was the absolute best decision we made! To sum everything up, if you are wanting to get married in Loudoun County Sylvanside Farm should be your number one choice!

As a local wedding videographer, I love exploring the many different venues available for weddings in Northern Virginia. Sylvanside Farm is exceptionally beautiful! The 24-acre farm has a long history that dates back to the late 1700's, and has plenty of room to spread out on the wedding day. There are a variety of backdrops around the property for the couple to use when being photographed or filmed on their wedding day. When I filmed here, the bridal party had plenty of places to get ready, including a small salon. The ceremony took place outside, underneath the shade of trees.The cocktail hour was inside the stone barn, while the reception was inside the long barn, giving everyone more than enough room to dance the night away! There is even a honeymoon suite available so you can stay the night! While beautiful on the ground, the farm looks spectacular from the air! I have included a couple screen shots from my aerial drone footage! Also....a little secret. There is a ping-pong table available to use as well. Its up in the loft where the guys get ready! How fun is that?! I enjoyed great food, and overall had a wonderful experience during my time here. Two thumbs up to Terri and her staff for providing such a wonderful venue! I look forward to filming many more weddings at this location!

I would 100% recommend Sylvanside Farm to anyone looking for a wedding venue or weekend getaway! The owners have been so attentive, flexible, responsive and hospitable to my husband and I. They are great at working with various vendors and communicating in a quick, professional way. They go above and beyond to provide decor, special touches, solutions to problems, and anything else you might need! Throughout the craziness of COVID-19, Jeff and Terri worked with us to seamlessly postpone our reception date to next Fall. They helped ease our stress and were so flexible during this difficult time. They even let us still spend the night in the Hunt Box on our original wedding date, and made it so special and memorable for us. We were gifted coffee cake, eggs, milk, cheese, crackers, wine, and more! We had a picnic by the water, nights by the fire pit, and spent time all around the farm as newlyweds. Thank you Jeff and Terri for making our intimate, unique honeymoon weekend so special for us as we practiced social distancing at Sylvanside Farm!

I really did not want to like this place, in all honesty, I was over the whole “Barn Wedding Venue.” I almost crossed it off our list without looking at it, but I’m so glad I decided to drive by. It was a raining, cold December day when I decided to check out Sylvanside Farm. As soon as I pulled into the driveway, I felt the charm of this place. As ugly as the weather was that day, the farm was still beautiful. Once I walked into the large reception barn, I was hooked. I called my fiancé immediately and told him this was the perfect venue for our wedding. The other venues we looked at did not offer as much as Sylvanside did and the reception barn was large enough to hold the amount of guests we had. We also loved the option to stay there for the whole weekend. The pictures online really don’t show the true beauty of this place, you have to be there to experience it in person. We loved that no one else we knew had been married there before. Teri & Jeff Fanning of Sylvanside Farm are the most wonderful venue owners you could ask for. They made us feel at home from the moment we first stepped foot on their property and they worked really hard the day of our wedding to make everything perfect for us. So many of our guests told us that it was one of the most beautiful venues they had been to and it perfectly represents Loudoun County in every way. There’s just something truly magical about this place & it was so hard to say goodbye to!

It's hard to find the words to tell you just how amazing our experience was at Sylvanside. The setting is absolutely everything we could have dreamed of; but for us, the real joy was working with Jeff, Terri, and Amelia. They were so helpful, accommodating, and enthusiastic about making our event the very best it could be. Our guests continue to rave about the farm, the amazing vintage furniture, the awesome fire pit out back, and the way the lights in the barn made everything more romantic. (And of course, hotly debate whether the swans in the pond are real or not!) There's also an amazing supply closet that contains all kinds of great things from previous weddings that they encourage you to use at will -- hundreds of votives and LED candles, vases, lanterns, frames, fabric -- the list goes on. This saved us from buying *lots* of things we would otherwise have only used once and it was fun to "shop" in there for items and ideas. This is such a special spot. We 're also *very* excited to have a great place to come back to celebrate future anniversaries and the like.

We are so happy that we had our wedding at Sylvanside Farm. It is a beautiful and magical venue, and we had so many raving compliments from our 200 guests about the venue. Lots of space outside to choose a ceremony location, the smaller barn was perfect for the cocktail hour base, and the Poplar Barn was literally breath-taking for the reception. It’s so beautiful, especially with the high ceilings and twinkle lights that come with the space, that you really don’t need a ton more decoration. Jeff and Terri were also a dream to work with -- you can truly tell how much they care about the farm and making sure that their wedding couples are well taken care of. They were easy to work with and communicate with during our planning phase, our walk-through, and were on-deck for any support during the wedding day itself. We also loved being able to use some of the other houses/cottages on the property to get ready in during the day and to gather ourselves prior to the ceremony. Other miscellaneous notes: great being able to have tables and chairs included, the ceremony arches you can pick from are also all pretty, plenty of guest parking on the farm if needed, lots of assorted decor items that you can borrow from them. Overall, it was a perfect place to celebrate our wedding, and we can’t wait to return for an anniversary get-away back at the farm!

This is a fantastic venue with incredible owners! My wife and I had our ceremony and reception here on October 6th, 2018 and couldn't be happier with everything we experienced. The owners, Jeff and Terri, are amazing people and worked hard to make our day special. When we first saw the property in Spring of 2018, we were overwhelmed by how beautiful it was. At that time, the main barn was not yet complete but there was no hesitation in signing the contract because of what we saw just walking around the property. We would have been happy with the barn just the way it was when we first toured it but Jeff and Terri have done so much work since then transforming it into the beautiful barn we enjoyed on our wedding day. The perfect venue does exist and for us it was Sylvanside Farm. Jeff and Terri treated us like family and my wife and I are so thankful we had the opportunity to start our journey together in such a special place. I highly recommend going and seeing the property. The pictures are great but there is no substitute for seeing it in person and meeting Jeff and Terri.

My fiancé and I saw tons of barns/ farms on our venue hunt and Sylvanside was by far our favorite! They have two amazing barns on the farm that are filled with history and character. Great amenities that include a bridal suit, cottage, month of coordinator and our favorite, an indoor/outdoor air conditioned kennel in the case you have fur babies that you would like with you the day of. Terri and Jeff were wonderful people that were great to work with and extremely helpful! I would highly recommend them to anyone!
