The flowers at our wedding were the one thing that went wrong. We met with Rich at Sylvia's. He wasn't all that friendly or nice, but he gave us an amazing quote for our flowers so we decided to go with them anyways.
Flash forward to our... wedding day, and our flowers were extremely late- like 2 hours late. I didn't have a bouquet until a minute before the ceremony. Plus when my aunt called to ask where they were 10 minutes before my ceremony she got yelled at and remed out by the lady who answered the phone. It was really uncalled for and unprofessional. It caused a lot of stress because we didn't even know if we were going to have flowers. I have no idea how my wedding coordinator delivered and pinned all the bouts of the clueless men so fast. What made me the most mad was my guests were forced to wait in the lobby of the church while we waited for the flower delivery.
Once the flowers got here, I must say that the bouquets were probably the most gorgeous bouquets I have ever seen. They even doubled the number of roses in each of them. The boutonnieres where very nice too. However, the outstanding quality didn't translate to the other flowers. The ceremony pieces were completely not what we asked for. We asked for fresh cut flowers in a tall glass vase, and what they delivered there was no way they could even fit in a vase. They were ugly and reminded me of funeral flowers, which kind of made me upset as my grandmother passed away recently. We asked for a refund after the wedding, but they only refunded us the cost of the vase which they were unable to use. They claimed the arrangement was only not what we asked for because they didn't have enough time to set up, but that was their fault.
Lastly, I ordered flowers for the honorary bridesmaids and they never even got them. In retrospect it wasn't a huge deal. We ordered them mostly as a gift, and my girls were understanding. But it sucked because I told them they would have flowers, and we payed for them, they just never were brought to the wedding.
All in all, I would probably avoid using them if possible. Their pricing is extremely reasonable, and the bouquets were absolutely exquisite. The bouquets and bouts looked great in the photos, and the horrible pieces in the church weren't too noticeable. I might proceed with caution with them if you are on a tight budget and you can't find another place to match the price- but I would definitely be on their cases confirming the delivery time, and even then the price might not be worth their attitudes. I understand that mistakes happen, but I don't understand their extreme unprofessionalism. My family has used them for flowers forever- since before Amlings took over, but I think we will look into other options for the future.
