Hi! I'm Sylwia Hoppe and I’m a wedding photographer based in Connecticut, USA.
My adventure with wedding photography started when two of my friends popped the BIG question: “Will you photograph my wedding?” With dedication, commitment and all the faith the couple had in me, I ventured to capture their once in a lifetime moment. This experience gave me motivation and helped me to fall in love with wedding photography and everything related to it. That’s how Fotostory (my previous business name) was born. I do what I love and it’s without doubt I can say I am very fortunate: I connected my passion and work.
The vision I hold is to serve and be surrounded with kindness, faith and love. I believe that every wedding is filled with unique moments and as a wedding photographer I strive to capture those in a beautiful and intimate way. My mission is to build a strong relationship based on trust and friendship with every client I work with.
Each wedding is full of its own special moments and my aim is to create beautiful and intimate imagery that you can treasure forever. My work is inspired by natural light, nature, thoughtful details and people who are deeply in love.

was the photographer we wanted to capture our wedding day! She's not only extremely talented but she's easy to work with and incredibly kind.
She has a very calming energy, which made us feel more comfortable posing for the camera (something I often struggle with.) Her directions for poses are clear and she's efficient with her shots, so you aren't "stuck" in any pose for a long time.
Not only is she efficient, but she's very patient as well. We took engagement photos with Sylwia in winter, and she happily snapped photos even though I'm sure her hands were frozen! She somehow also managed to take cute photos of us with our dog, who almost never sits still. On our wedding day, we also had bad luck with weather. Sylwia and Zina (her second shooter for the day) braved the rain for our First Look in the middle of a bridge - we are so grateful they not only agreed to it, but they also took some amazing photos. Later, Sylwia was also locked out of our venue due to a malfunctioning door! She stood on the steps outside while venue staff tried to reset the door, but never complained and went right back to shooting as if nothing happened!
Sylwia took care to make sure we were posed nicely for each photo. In addition to all the beautifully posed photos, Sylwia focuses on the details and capturing organic moments. She somehow captured not only the moments, but our personalities as well! The flat lays she creates are stunning and her editing style is timeless - all of her photos are light and natural. We couldn't imagine having anyone else there to photograph our wedding day - Sylwia is the best!!
