I would like to specifically highlight Shant and Chris as I worked with them very closely on my wedding day. Shant was so cooperative, fun, and made sure I got all the shots I wanted to get. Had an awesome experience with them! The videographer was great during the wedding and got some really amazing shots. We LOVE the video they made for us. We had some edits we wanted after they showed us the first draft of the video and Misha could not have been nicer about it. He listened to all of our comments and did such an incredible job with the Final Cut of the video. We are so so thrilled with Symboll.

We've been working with Christian from Symboll on a package for our upcoming wedding, and he has made the entire process super easy to go through! He is willing to take the time out of his day at flexible hours to talk over details and answer any and all questions the best he can while making it easy for the couple to figure out what they need for their day. Symboll makes the booking process a breeze! I sent an inquiry and Christian reached out to me a few minutes later and we got on a call 10mins after. *It was Saturday night 9:30pm! At 11:30pm that evening I booked the photography and videography package. Christian is such a pleasure to work with- super transparent and knowledgeable. We cannot thank the Symboll team and our photographer, David, for the amazing job of capturing our engagement shoot. Before the shoot, we appreciated David taking the time to get to know us over a phone call and multiple communications leading up to the day. In addition, he remained very flexible till the last minute when we found out our initial idea wasn’t coming together because the flowers just hadn’t bloomed yet. His eye was incredible during the shoot and captured some moments we would never have thought of. He took his time, made us feel at ease, and made us shine. We are excited to continue working with him and the Symboll team for our big day later this year.

With a quick Google search of photographers, thousands of vendors popped up. I began to put their websites down on my spreadsheets & collected quotes, hours, number of photographers, etc. I came across Symboll & what drew me in was their website. It was so beautifully designed & everything was easy to navigate around. I am used to being the photographer & videographer for my friends & family, so I was looking for something extraordinary that I cannot create myself. I love story telling & art, so when I looked at their ABOUT page, I was floored. It was speaking to me! After looking around their site for 30 minutes, I called & didn’t leave a message because I was tired & it was the 11th call I did on a Sunday morning (April 7). A few minutes later, I received a text message from the number I called. It was Christian saying good morning & apologized for not being able to pick up our call because he was currently at a wedding, but asked how he may be of assistance to us. He asked when our wedding date was to see if it was available & fortunately it was! He asked us a few questions about how many hours of coverage we need for our date & explained some of the things they specialized in. He explained the RED camera they offer, but also allowed us to do our due diligence to decide what we truly wanted. The C2 package was popular, but after all my research, we ultimately decided to do the C3 package with add-ons for engagement shoot, drone, RED camera & full movie edit. We felt that this package would truly help capture all the precious moments that will live on forever not only in our hearts & minds but literally for the whole world & future generations of our family to see! I loved the cinematics & artful beauty of all their work. I watched all the videos & the RED camera was sharper than the normal one. It’s the same camera they use for Netflix & movies. I figured if we are paying this much for our wedding, we are going to have the best photographers & videographers. I’m definitely telling my kids & grandkids that our wedding video was “Crazy Rich Asians” LOL We texted Christian what we wanted & within minutes he sent us an updated quote & omg was it a great deal. Their standard hours of coverage were 2 to 4 hours more than all the other vendors I contacted. Their price was insanely competitive. They presented great previous work on their website. They also have an FAQ page which actually answered a lot of our questions. Their pricing was straight forward with no hidden fees. We had no travel fee because our wedding is located in their local regions. I was reassured that they have a close knit team of photographers, videographers & editors that work well together & it will not be some random Joe they found on Craigslist to fill the 3rd or 4th shooter position. Christian assured us that we will be meeting our lead photographer & videographer on our engagement shoot & also will have a meeting with them before our wedding. Christian was so easy to work with & was oh so patient with us & all our many questions. It felt like he was one of our friends wanting the best for us. He even helped advocate for us to get the best deals. We just signed our contract today (April 9) & paid the first portion of the total to secure our date! I cannot stress enough about how great Christian was to us & how excellent his customer service was. His patience & kindness knows no bounds. If you have made it this far into my review then I suggest you call or text Christian & mention Catherine & Henry hehe I am very skeptical about people texting me so I assure you that contacting that number will get you the best human you could ever speak to regarding photography & videography needs. I can’t even put into words how thankful we are for Christian’s help throughout this stressful process. He made it super easy & was never pushy or made us feel like he was upselling or forcing us to do something we did not want to do. I am so excited for our engagement photoshoot & wedding photos & video! THANK YOU CHRISTIAN!

Symboll made our wedding a dream come true!!! Their dedication to taking a personal approach is on a whole different level. From consultation to appointments to production and execution, they’re a 10/10. We loved their creativity and willingness to stretch the limit, especially with the uniqueness of our venue. David B. deserves a special shoutout for making the bride feel comfortable and catching every detail as if it was his own wedding wish. He’s truly a gem! To anyone reading this, we wish you nothing but the best in your selection process but you cannot and will not go wrong with Symboll.

We hired Symboll for our wedding and were lucky enough to have Josh as our photographer and Julio as our videographer. Josh and Julio were very professional and helpful in making our day go smoothly. In moments of minor chaos, they kept us calm and reassured us that all was well. When our initial photoshoot location fell through, Julio and Josh thought on their feet and came up with a plan B. They also helped us get some golden hour photos with friends and family. Although we have yet to receive the final pictures/video, Josh gave me a preview of some shots on the camera viewfinder - they looked amazing and I can't wait to see rest of the photos!

Planning a wedding is hard. Choosing a photographer and videographer is a critical decision for any couple. Individual photographers are busy and non-responsive. They can be flaky too. We went through a couple false starts before we found Symboll, and everything got easier once we did. They are incredibly organized, with a well-planned intake process and production pipeline. Their team approach and roster of shooters gave us a ton of confidence (versus hiring an individual photographer and hoping they're really going to show up!). At the event, the shooters all showed tremendous confidence in their work, which gave my wife and I confidence posing for them. (Such an important part of the process!) They were friendly, looked professional, managed our guests with courtesy and everyone was super impressed with the Symboll team. (The guests imagined we spent much more than we did, because they sent us an army - two photographers, a third photographer in training, and a videographer/drone pilot.) It will be a few weeks until we receive our packages (which we understood up front, and is expected) so I will come back and post our reaction to the final work when we get it, but so far, so great! You should definitely hire Symboll for your wedding or event. We couldn't be happier!

This review is purely for the service we received when first connecting with Symboll and working on coming to a decision to work with them. Our wedding is not until 2025 and we just signed a contract to work with Symboll for photography and videography. Christian was the main point of contact that responded to my initial reach out and he has been nothing but extremely understanding and helpful. We knew we were reaching out to a company that really puts out quality into their work and we had the expectations that it may be above our budget, which it was. However as we spoke to Christian more and more, he worked closely with us to discuss what Symboll can do to come within range. We are very excited to work with Symboll and will update this review with our experiences working with Symboll once we have our wedding.

We were extremely lucky to be paired with a top notch team for our wedding - photographer David Bowles and videographer Andranik Arutiunian! It was pretty warm on our wedding day, but David and Andranik were undeterred by the heat and still managed to get the best shots for us. They were creative with their shots, listened attentively to our suggestions, and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable while still keeping up with the hectic wedding timeline. All in all, they are true professionals, full of passion for excellent photography and videography. Your wedding memories are in safe hands with them on your team!

Symboll has been the easiest booking we have done for our wedding so far, Christian went above and beyond to give my fiancé and I exactly what we were looking for. We can’t wait to work with them!

We are so glad to have found Symboll to be our wedding photographer and videographer. We wanted unique photos and videos with a clean editing style that wouldn’t appear overly filtered, and Symboll checked every one of those boxes. We opted for the C2 package with RED videography, which was priced incredibly competitively considering the quality of work. Additionally, it came with up to 10 hours of coverage by default whereas most other vendors we looked at typically offered 8 hours. Working with them was a breeze. It started with messaging their client managers Christian and Attila who broke down their transparent and simple pricing structure. After payment, they sent a helpful questionnaire not only to help Symboll get to know us, but also allow us to narrow down what we wanted. They were always super quick to respond to our questions, and we never felt lost along the process. We were ultimately connected with Shant as our photographer and Misha as our videographer, and we were so lucky to have them on our wedding day. Both were incredibly professional, kind, and overall joys to work with. Importantly, our wedding happened to fall on a day with suboptimal weather (end of March 2024). It rained heavily for much of the day, and we had booked a largely outdoor venue (Rancho Las Lomas). Despite this, Shant and Misha were incredibly flexible to the wet conditions. These unique circumstances also highlighted the strength of Symboll’s creativity, as Shant and Misha took advantage of the storm to create some incredibly cinematic shots of us. We were so glad to have chosen Symboll when we saw our photos, since we are confident that few other photographers/videographers would have been able to leverage our unfavorable weather conditions like Shant and Misha did. Because of the weather, they were unable to use their drone to capture our day, but they provided us with a teaser reel video in addition to our feature film. Final photos came out beautifully and the short film came back in such a timely manner. We are so happy with the results!

Working with Symboll and Christian throughout the booking process has been great and we’ve decided to proceed with them as our videographer and photographer for our upcoming wedding next year. They have been very responsive and helpful throughout the process clarifying anything we had questions on and providing all the information we needed to make our decision. Couldn’t be happier to move forward with them and will provide an update after the wedding!

We chose Symboll because we loved the samples of the wedding videos that were in their portfolio! We loved the cinematic’s and immediately wanted our video to be like that. We love how the Symboll style looks effortless and artful. Our photos seem to capture the moment in an authentic way while also looking ethereal and intimate. The way Symboll used an easy portal system to get to know you and where you can pick out many music options for your video. It was also nice to have talked to the team before the wedding to go over the final timeline! I had my wedding this past weekend and working with Symboll has been nothing short of AMAZING. I originally booked Symboll because of their unique photos that were candid and moody. I loved their style and didn't want regular photos that look like they can be taken from an iPhone. This was especially important to me given that my friends regretted hiring their photographers who didn't do a great job. Christian immediately reached out to me, provided many options for me to choose from, answered all my questions and provided me with a recent video they did at the exact same wedding venue as mine. Thereafter, I was assigned to Agata as my photographer and Andranik as the videographer. Working with them during my wedding was a dream. They were perfectionists, took charge, had a unique artistic vision for every single shot and made sure to capture the right dramatic shots. I loved loved loved working with them and cannot recommend them enough!!!! I am so excited to see how the photos and video turn out. I already know it's going to be incredible. WOW! From first contact with Christian to day of with Agata & Eugene to most importantly the final result we have been in AWE with the experience. Christian was SO easy to work with, so communicative. I probably texted him a million times (at all times) and he always responded. Agata and Eugene were exactly what my (NOW) wife and I needed the day of. There energy was great and made us feel extremely comfortable and genuine. They fit right in with the bridal party (and probably thought we were crazy, but went with it)! I was so impressed with the final video. I never had a "vision" for what the video would be, but once I saw it, I thought "this is exactly what I wanted". Can not recommend them enough. My sister has already booked them for her wedding in September.

The Symboll team we worked with was absolutely amazing. Not only are they so good with directions and making sure you get the vision you want but the guys we had on our day were just so fun and personable and made us feel like a million bucks. Our lead photographer Julio and lead videographer Dean were so fun to work with and would always hype us up when we got a really good shot to the point where it was hard to "focus" when we would do more serious or romantic glances but in the best way. They really took their time with our romantic shots and were also super receptive to our bridal party wanting specific photos as well. They also worked so well with our live painter so that they could send him the photo we selected so he had a good reference when working on our painting. All in all we loved working with this team and we cannot wait to see the final photos and the final video as well.

We hired Symboll for our wedding and with covid raging, safety was our top priority. They delivered on all fronts! Everyone was tested, masked and a pleasure to work with. Christian did a fantastic job shooting our wedding and Jillian was always there if you had a question. Because we had a really short timeline with the venue, it was a tough event to shoot. Symboll nailed it every step of the way! I would happily recommend them to anyone and if you are considering hiring them, you should do it now!

Chris and I were able to put together our summer wedding on July 31st, 2020 in Paso Robles at CaliPaso Wine & Villa. We reached out to Daniel who owns and runs a team of fantastic planners, photographers, videographers, and editors. Symboll really took the time to prepare and set up for our extraordinary wedding/elopement. We asked to have a live feed via youtube for our families overseas and he pulled it off using an iphone- only the wifi and cell service in the area wasn't great which they couldn't help, but no matter - I highly recommend a final video of the entire ceremony professionally captured by his high quality camera and audio setup. That was much more of a valuable, priceless capture. The short 2.5 minute trailer was created along with the longer version 22 mins of the story build up, the ceremony and the last champagne celebration part. Egor took the role of photography and he did an excellent job capturing all the critical parts of the afternoon and evening. His work was top notch and he made sure that we were getting the shots we asked for. They are both super friendly, but made sure they worked hard. They came a long way from LA to make sure we could make this happen. Chris and I loved the outcome of both the photos and videos. We have watched them dozens of times and felt this was a worthwhile investment for any couple who want to relive their wedding experience. Not only that their streamlined process of choosing the video music and website setup was easy and professional. Please take the time to see their channel and hire them! You won't regret it.

what can I say! Dan and his crew were amazing. Me and my beautiful wife are not the type to glutton over ourselves in photos and videos. We just wanted a solid video for memories and of course to see our best friends and family. We are so glad we chose CineStory. They honestly made the whole process so simple. We knew we wanted photos and a video of our special day and having CineStory to capture both was really beautiful and like I said….way easier for us! If I could sum up The Cinestory in one word-incredible!!! From our very first Facetime call with Jilian to after the wedding when we received our photos and video, we felt cared for, supported, and valued. Our wedding planner was the reason my wife and I were able to be pretty much stress-free the week of our wedding. I was pretty nervous about planning our wedding because we were having over 100 guests and most of them were coming in from out of town-I wanted everything to be PERFECT. We ended up hiring Cinestory for video and planning and Diana was our wedding planner. We got the A3 package which was perfect because it allowed us 6 months with Diana leading up to the wedding. She helped us find the most important element of our day-the venue!! We loved the venue she showed us and not only that, she recommended the most incredible florist and caterer. I thought vendor shopping was going to be a nightmare but Diana set it all up so seamlessly and we were actually able to enjoy the process! I know for a fact that our wedding wouldn't have been half as incredible, beautiful, or organized if it weren't for her. She was great at communicating and her support was invaluable.

We hired Cinestory for our wedding this past June and to sum it up-they were amazing! The thing I appreciated most about them was they were highly communicative. Whenever I had questions for Diana, the wedding planner, she was quick to answer and give me several options as well as her perspective (which was always right!). And when I wasn't sure about how I wanted our short film edit to be, I was walked through all the possibilities and they were explained thoroughly. I felt like our wedding film was tailored perfectly to us and I love that. We had an amazing experience with Cinestory and would recommend them to everyone we know!

Cinestory absolutely nailed our wedding-our photos are absolutely incredible and I love that I was able to send out a link to family and friends to share the photos with! My favorite part of having cinestory do our wedding was having Diana on board as our wedding planner. I had no idea how to execute my vision for style when it came to design, florist, and all the little details you have to coordinate together. Diana helped me streamline everything into one beautiful, consistent vision and our wedding turned out BEAUTIFUL. She created a french country theme that was fresh, classical, and timeless. I can't think Diana and the team enough-they were a dream come true!

We made the decision to go with cinestory after my (now) wife saw one of their videos on their website. My wife and I will forever be happy with our decision. The team was fun to work with and made our wedding day a breeze. My wife and I generally feel pretty awkward in front of the camera so they would very helpful with posing and directing us. We also got the wedding planning package per my request because I didn't want to have to worry about anything leading up to our wedding or on our wedding day. Diana completely took the reins and was a boss on the wedding day. We couldn't have done it without her or Dan and their awesome team.

The team was incredibly professional and organized throughout our entire planning process. From the first Facetime meeting to our creative and timeline meetings-they led the conversation and asked all the questions, we just had to answer. Diana gave my wife and I some great recommendations for venue locations and provided an amazing cake decorator and florist as well. My wife and I were originally worried about wedding day in that it might be a little stressful but Diana made everything go seamlessly. Neither my wife or I had to worry or think about a single thing. Diana was a life saver. We cherish our video and photos and have already framed 4 huge photos in our house.

We booked The Cinestory one month before our wedding-I know, so quick! We ended up going with an elopement style wedding and couldn't wait for COVID to end to get married. We weren't exactly sure where we wanted to have it or honestly where we were even allowed to have it with all the covid regulations. So we ended up getting their videography package and wedding planning package-it was the best decision. Diana, our wedding planner, did basically everything for us and I am so grateful. I basically just had to show up to our wedding and everything was perfect! Not to mention our video is stunning, I don't think you could find higher quality anywhere.

So here's my review as that of the groom. Cinestory is spot-on! The key things I really liked about them is that they are great communicators; any questions we had, they were more than happy to answer. And their answers were very helpful because of their experience and insight. They are very confident in the service they provide; they know exactly their style, look and abilities. I'm not a big fan when someone is wishy-washy in their answers, or changes their response based on what they think you want to hear. This team knows what their bringing to the table and because we knew what we wanted it worked out perfectly. They are social, friendly and easy going; you have to be able to maneuver under the circumstances of a wedding which means a variety of different people and personalities. You have to know when to ease back and when to step up and take charge. Cinestory had it. The final product was delivered in the amount of time and as agreed. We had both photo and video services- both were excellent, with top notch upgrades like drone footage and very high-end recording equipment to ensure that everything was captured wonderfully. Would highly recommend for any wedding.

what can I say! Dan and his crew were amazing. Me and my beautiful wife are not the type to glutton over ourselves in photos and videos. We just wanted a solid video for memories and of course to see our best friends and family. They did a spectacular job! made us feel very comfortable in our own skin no tricks or fakery : ) Really enjoyed their style of cinematic shooting as well, it was our lives turned into something beautiful, that still had the wedding touch to it. We loved working with our CineStory Films crew on our wedding day. We had the 8 hour combo package, with 2 photographers and 2 videographers. My husband and I are not the type to pose for photos/videos, but the CineStory crew made us feel completely comfortable and got us amazing shots. They captured our day beautifully and we were able to relive our perfect day when we received the highlights video.

Cinestory is an amazing team. We're extremely happy with all our photos and video. I keep watching the video even months after our wedding. And we've framed a lot of the photos as well as made some small books to send to family members. Everyone loves them. I can't thank Cinestory enough. When I was planning my wedding, our DJ encouraged us to reach out to Cinestory. They told us that Dan and his team were the most professional and high quality wedding photographers and videographers out there.... and they were absolutely right! Well before the big day, they spent time with us getting to understand our style as a couple during an engagement shoot - and making me feel comfortable in front of the lens. Owen Captures is a naturally warm and genuine person, and he put us both at ease so that he could capture our truest dynamic. Additionally, he provided such great direction (I never know what to do with my hands!) and chose gorgeous LA backdrops. His eye for detail is unparalleled, and among the many friends' photos I have looked at, I haven't seen the unique shots that we have. Our actual wedding day was so well-captured that I can't look at the footage without getting misty. Working with the Cinestory team was a worthy investment in timeless photos (and INCREDIBLE video) that is all we have to look back on. For those searching for a team comprised of true professionals who genuinely care about what they do and have the talent to match... there is no deliberating.
