We were out of state from our venue and he accommodated us and got to know us over Zoom, responded to all inquires very quickly, gave us a very user-friendly app to better understand our music tastes and wedding preferences, and when we got into town he was kind enough to take us out to lunch and get to know us better. He is calm and collected but also has the meticulous nature to ensure that he pronounced every bridesmaid’s name just right and was sensitive to complicated family dynamics during announcements. He was truly the driver of our reception timeline and made sure that everything happened smoothly; thankfully the logistics went off without a hitch with his hard work and it was lovely to have one less thing to worry about during our wedding day. We did not have much money to spend on our wedding, and we DIYed a lot of it. Initially, I naively wondered whether it was necessary to even hire a DJ; I love music and can make my own playlists. I was very wrong, and I’m glad I met with him to learn about everything he does - he runs the logistics, delivers the many announcements that are central to a wedding, ensures that the (often clueless) wedding party knows what they need to do, etc etc. Truly not sure what we would have done without him. The music, most importantly, was perfect. He honored our weird requests, which extended from oldies to Crazy Frog to Lincoln Park, and mixed them in a super fun way. People were on the dance floor literally all night, and that’s exactly what I wanted. He knows how to read a crowd and artfully serve their needs. He is a talented DJ who is responsible, dedicated, and has truly mastered his craft. Though I am based in another state now, I would enthusiastically recommend him to any of my friends who are still in Northeast Ohio. We would make the same DJ choice over and over again. From the first meeting to the day of the wedding, Ivan was excellent at communicating everything from introductions to cake cutting and toasts. He is flexible and caters to your needs. I prepared a special acoustic guitar performance for my wife and he helped to provide sound check, cables and mic to make sure it went perfectly. The speaker system sounded awesome too! No need to look any further for a DJ!

We didn’t need him to due to having a day of coordinator however we were thankful to have the option. He worked really well with the coordinator to ensure things went off seamlessly. Ivan had never been to our venue, at Happy Days Lodge before our wedding but made every effort to become familiar with it. We had our ceremony outdoors, cocktail hour in the on-site screened in porch and reception in the hall. Ivan was able to provide sound seamlessly from one part of the day to the next. He fit himself to exactly what we needed for our day and provided great music selections to add to our picks. We even received a little gift after our wedding from him in the mail. r the reception, the dance floor was packed the entire night. There weren't more than 15-20 people of our 140 person wedding that were sitting down and not dancing. We gave DJ Ivan a lot of freedom in his choice of songs, so he ended up playing more classic, older songs that everyone loved (mostly early-mid 20 friends and older family).

. He was also extremely kind and accommodating with respect to our music of choice. We planned the wedding in a relatively short period of time (6 months), so we chose our music within the two weeks or so before the wedding. He didn't complain at all and in fact was very supportive. He also didn't stray from our list of requests (specifically, there were some songs we asked NOT to have played, and he didn't play them). Finally, he transitioned the songs nicely- we had classical/jazz types of music during the cocktail hour/dinner, started with oldies that our whole group could relate to during the initial dancing part of the reception, with more modern songs later (after our parents' generation needed to rest). There was a lot less of the get up/sit down that occurred for guests due to poor transitions between songs than I have experienced at other weddings. One of the most important things to us was to not have the music be loud or intrusive, especially during the dinner. Ivan did a wonderful job; he really gauged it just right. He was also receptive to requests from people. I was also so happy that he didn't spend a lot of time talking; I never like it when the DJ spends a lot of time gabbing at the mike during wedding receptions. His voice, when he did talk, was also gentle and unintrusive. In short, he was a fantastic DJ. His prices were also much more reasonable than for many other DJs we looked at. I would hire him again in a heartbeat- easiest decision I would have to make were I planning another wedding!

It's also worth mentioning that while Ivan was prepared to put together his own playlist for the evening, he allowed us to instead provide him with a list of all the songs we wanted to include. He took that list, and placed it into a mix that allowed the night's festivities to evolve perfectly. To this day, our friends almost unanimously point to our wedding dance floor as having been the best they had experienced.

Somehow DJ Ivan was able to accommodate all of it seamlessly, adding in some more well-known music here and there so that everyone had something to enjoy. DJ Ivan really set the tone for a truly magical and ethereal night.

With fairly short notice, he even helped source and set-up our lighting (uplighting, vertigo lights, cake light), all while staying within our budget.
