I had the best experience with Taffeta Weddings for my wedding makeup! From the very start, they were super easy to talk to and really took the time to listen to what I wanted. I knew I wanted something natural yet stunning, and they totally nailed it! Kat gave me great suggestions without pushing anything I wasn’t comfortable with, which I really appreciated.
On the big day, Kat & Nikki were calm, relaxed, and right on time. It made the whole getting-ready process so much easier and fun. The makeup was flawless—it stayed perfect all day, even through all the tears and dancing. I felt so beautiful and confident, and I got so many compliments!
I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I’m so grateful for how wonderful I felt with Kat’'s work. I highly recommend Taffeta Bridal to any bride! Thank you for making me feel like the best version of myself on my special day!

liver. I was a September 2024 bride and my only regret was booking this company.
I cannot stress enough how UNORGANIZED this bridal salon is. I thought booking hair/makeup at the same company would be easiest, less hectic and better vibes on wedding but boy was I wrong. Require full payment 6 months out and then it’s crickets to get a reply, which is unnerving obviously- you would think since they know they have your money they would be a bit more attentive to their brides. They are an agency so you have no say in your artist, the same 1 artists is tagged in their posts so you cannot see artists portfolios, and all of mine were independent artists so therefore there is no accountability, they don’t even know half the policies Taffeta requires of their brides and Taffeta acts as a conduit for communication- so it took forever to confirm anything. The communication is awful, took weeks to reply on appointments THEY made with me! I left 3 messages to their bridal concierge over summer months as a result of not getting an email reply after 28 days and nobody ever called me back….ever. I was given 4 different timelines from 3 different people literally up to 2 days before my wedding AND STILL ALL 3 ARTISTS WERE LATE ON MY WEDDING DAY and the WRONG amount of Hair and Makeup Artists were sent. There wasn’t enough time for all the services I paid for due to the companies mistakes & hair, makeup adjustments were made to fit the timeline- the owner knew all of this and the apology I received (after asking for one) was basically sorry but it would’ve worked out.
Save yourself the stress and nerve, book somewhere else brides!!

directly tell you how to get there and where to find it after explaining it's my first time on their website they are still lacking effort or knowledge of understanding customers Yung to find a way how to get to inquire. why make your customer go through all that trouble instead of just asking the customer what they need and what services they can offer and prices. Very lazy approach to customers and if your the bride, don't waste your effort or time. Time is a waste.

knew personally, and she raved about them. I had a large bridal party, and was pretty adamant that the team would be able to travel to me. As soon as I got on the phone with Gina, their office manager, I knew I had found my girls. She put me completely at ease and walked me through everything, assuring me that I would have enough support to get everybody dolled up in time. She was always quick to respond to all my questions. I felt super comfortable with Lauren and Alex at my trial, and Alex even helped me find the perfect hair piece to match my dress. On the day of the wedding, we had Alex, Lauren, Gabby and Kay handling my party of me plus 10 and 2 flower girls. We’re kind of a chaotic bunch, but they were great, kept things running, and most importantly, everyone looked so awesome! I wanted everyone to be glamorous, but still have it look natural, and they totally delivered. If you are in need of a team to make you the most gorgeous version of yourself on your big day, call Taffeta!

I can't recommend Christine and Tressa enough. They were fantastic from the trial to the wedding day. They asked the right questions to make sure they had a clear understanding of what I wanted, and made me feel like the most beautifully elevated version of myself. We took photos before the ceremony, so had a long day, and by the end of the night, everything held up - no need for powder touch-up's and no flyaways or loose hair after outdoor photos on a very windy day, and hours of dancing.
Additionally, Tressa and Christine were a delight to have around on the wedding day. They clearly have a great rapport, and a nice energy to keep your day relaxed and fun! My entire party had a blast spending the morning with them, and all looked stunning!
I truly can't recommend Taffeta and Christine and Tressa enough. Don't waste time looking for another vendor, you'll find their team professional and talented, and pricing very competitive.

trial and absolutely loved everything about my look- I felt like a total princess. After a little time went by I had decided to change my overall look for my big day. (Who does that? I asked myself) Anywho I took a total risk and opted out of a second trial and showed the girls pictures of what I wanted the day of. I was so nervous but when they finished and put that mirror in front of me I was completely blown away. They made magic happen and instead of a princess I felt like a total queen. Additionally each and every one of my bridesmaids looked absolutely flawless. They all raved about their looks and were so excited to walk down the aisle and show it off! with no stylist! My photographer recommended Taffeta to save the day. I sent an email via the website, and within hours I had spoken to Gina and had a proposal emailed to me. She was fantastically responsive, and went the extra mile to see if there was a combination hair and makeup stylist available for the day of my wedding (since we had a small party). Working with Taffeta leading up to the wedding was seamless, and Betsy, our stylist, was absolutely lovely. We had great calm conversation all morning, and she was highly responsive to our style requests. We felt and looked amazing, and I cannot thank Taffeta enough for saving the day! Save yourself the trouble, start with Taffeta from the beginning!

I had a really horrible experience with Taffeta and based on a shockingly bad trial have cancelled using Alex and her team on my wedding day. I lost my deposit and trial fees ($500...
) for cancelling, but really lost a lot of trust at the trial. It was traumatic for me. I chose taffeta because I saw they had a New York team, but that was misleading. I flew in from Los Angeles for wedding prep - and the only weekend time they would accommodate was 10am on a Sunday... In rural South jersey - at the owner's home. So I had to drive nearly 3hours on a Sunday morning. I did not find this accommodating. I found this surprising considering from my research Taffeta is pricier than other similar vendors in the area. But, I made the morning trip work. The first red flag was that when we arrived - Alex (the owner/hair stylist) did not offer me a glass of water. Alex talked the whole time about herself and was literally sweeping like 75% of the trial - while my hair was in curlers and she would occasionally come spray with hairspray. I told her from the start that my hair holds a curl - and I wanted a loose wave. Of course when she took out the curlers I had little ringlets that looked like I was in a high school play. This was not what I expected. When I told her I was not happy with this - I was told it would relax later in the day. It did not. Like I said - my hair holds a curl.
I told the makeup artist that I do not usually wear makeup so I didn't want anything heavy. But he insisted that every bride needs 4 layers of foundation/concealer and an air spray... all a totally different color than the rest of my body. I feel that it is a poor judgement call if someone tells you they don't wear makeup... I think a lot could have been solved if Alex and the makeup artist weren't so rushed - and if they actually listened to me - and did the work in front of a makeup. I just felt like totally ignored in this whole trial and at the end felt just ugly and awful about myself. That is my story. It seems like a lot of people have had great experiences. So maybe it was just an off day - or the wrong fits in terms of the team members - but I just left feeling really sad and anxious. It was a disappointing experience.

If we had known this was not acceptable to you, other arrangements could have been discussed to avoid you already feeling inconvenienced prior to your preview even starting 2 Your second concern is difficult to understand Bride's and their families are routinely offered refreshments, the restroom, and anything else they may need during their scheduled preview time 3 It is our practice to set the hair of our Brides,so while it is setting the makeup artist can begin their work 4&5 As you and I discussed during this phase of your preview, the set of the curl should always be tight knowing it will be brushed, combed out, worked with, and relaxed throughout the day. If you remember, as planned, I continued to work with your hair combing it into the style you were hoping for We also took the time to discus any changes and played with other options in the mirror to help achieve the look you want on the wedding day Having never seen or worked with your hair before, the best way to see how your hair will hold up is by styling the hair based off my professional opinion, and then altering the prep and style accordingly for the wedding day (if modifications need to be made) 6 The makeup artist who worked with you for your preview is understandably upset to hear of these concerns a month after your preview took place, rather than addressing your concerns directly that day Unfortunately, neither he nor I were made aware of your unhappiness with your hair or makeup at the time of your preview in early March If we had any indication that you were unsure or unhappy, we would have done everything possible to correct the situation 7 As you were aware when booking your preview, it is normal and expected for a hair and makeup preview to last approximately two hours. Your preview was a full two hours; we are sorry you felt rushed Regarding our policy about deposit, preview, and refund information: this is clearly stated in our proposal which you agreed to when you signed the proposal We sincerely apologize for all your concerns We do take enormous pride in our work and never want a bride, or anyone else, to leave feeling unhappy It is unfortunate that we were not given the opportunity to rectify the situation; as we would have been happy to have a second trial with you to be sure that your concerns were addressed and you were 100% satisfied We strive in customer satisfaction, and feel just as disappointed as you that things did not work out
