Sonia and her helpers did a wonderful job for myself and my bridal party of 6 plus 2 moms! No caked on makeup or 90s hair here ! They kept everything elegant and classy and were willing to look at pics/take requests. Her energy also Helped keep the get-ready atmosphere light and happy, which is no easy feat! Sonia is very talented and I 1000% recommend her to any and all brides/ bridal parties! She’s super talented and chill and so were the ladies accompanying her. And her rates are totally fair!

Sonia is so incredibly sweet and did such an amazing job for my wedding! She did hair and makeup for myself, my sister, mom and mother in law and everyone LOVED her work. She is friendly, punctual and so easy to talk to/work with. She even squeezed my niece in last minute when she noticed her watching everyone get their hair done. It was a very windy day, but everyone’s hair held up the entire time! Highly recommend Sonia for your wedding day!

Tahoe hair n make up did a wonderful job with my hair and make up as well as my girls for the big day. She accommodated for my skin type, and products that I prefer to use on my skin. She took the time to get to know me as a bride and made things very personal. I will definitely be hiring Tahoe hair n make up for all of my future big events while I still live in the area. 10/10 would recommend every single time. Sonia was very lovely to work with! I met up with her a few weeks before the wedding to do a trial hair run, and she did an awesome braid/twist half up hair curled look. Sonia came out to our villa on site at our venue to do hair and makeup for myself, my bridal party and moms. She one upped herself and added additional twists to my hair on the day of which looked so cool! Everyone’s hair/makeup looked so good and it could not have gone better. Very good communication and easy to work with Sonia!!

Sonia was great with communication in the months leading up to my event. Google found her, I checked out her portfolio and started the email and contracting process. Unlike every other vendor she did not require a deposit immediately, just a commitment and a credit card to charge, which was super helpful when everyone else's payment timeline was rough to work around. When Sonia came to my place for my trial she listened to what I wanted and was supportive of what I didn't, I gave her a lot of creative control and she did great-I looked like a fairy tale version of myself! The next day for my event she successfully made my straight thin hair look thick, wavy and gorgeous! My makeup looked great and the eyelash extentions looked good but just weren't my style so she made other adjustments to make my eyes look good. In addition to the price (which was HALF of what everyone else was charging for similar work) , she was fun to talk to, inquisitive, open minded and great company. I highly recommend her! 10/10 would have Sonia take care of my hair and makeup again!

Sonia did amazing on our makeup! As a bride- my makeup lasted all night and I was so happy! Everyone’s hair and makeup turned out amazing and got so many compliments. Kelly was great with checking in with each person to get feedback! Cannot recommend these two enough!

Sonia was my hair and makeup artist for my elopement at South Lake Tahoe. She arrived at the early hour of 6:45 am to make sure I was ready to go before my 10 am ceremony. She was very easy to talk to and we had some good laughs about random stuff. I asked her for a "natural" bride look with eyeshadow to compliment my eye color. Sonia was able to match my foundation to my skin so well and my eye makeup turned out great. I RARELY wear full-face so my husband was shocked at my transformation. My makeup lasted all day with little to no cracking or fallout. I wanted a simple half-up, half-down with a twist and large curls and she executed that as well. I can't thank her enough for making me feel beautiful on my wedding day.

Linda and her team did an absolutely amazing job for my wedding and engagement photos! I couldn't have been happier with how my hair and make up turned out. One of my bridesmaids even commented on how she loved her hair/make up for my wedding more than her own. I don't wear a ton of make up and Linda did an amazing job of hiding a pimple and making me look perfect on my big day! Thank you Linda!!!! PS for future brides and bridemaids -- definitely do the fake eyelashes!

Let me start by saying Sonia is absolutely incredible! I booked her for our wedding back in September, and the experience with her was nothing short of amazing. Firstly, Sonia went above and beyond because she had an earlier wedding the same day as our wedding, however, she was still able to commit and time manage both weddings without any hiccups. She started in South Lake Tahoe with her first bride very early in the morning, and then drove all the way up to Graeagle to do our makeup afterwards. I truly feel like most makeup artist wouldn’t want to double book themselves for two events in one day, but Sonia knew how important it was to us to have her there on our special day, and she did everything to make this happen for us! Secondly, the makeup on myself and my bridesmaids was absolutely stunning. Sonia listened to each girl regarding their wants and needs with their makeup, and she ensured they felt comfortable in her chair. She comes with all of her own equipment, tools, and makeup, which made everyone feel at ease because it was once less thing we had to worry about the day of! Sonia was such a pleasure to work with and she helped make our special day so perfect! If it wasn’t for her I would not have felt as confident in my bridal look, and she truly made sure that I felt beautiful that day. Sonia was incredible and I’m so glad I found her for my wedding day! She did my hair and my two bridesmaids’. She was fantastic to work with, discussed the pictures I shared and different variations based on what she understood I was looking for, very communicative and quick to respond to emails and texts, and overall just a fun person to be around when we were getting ready. I couldn’t have been happier with my hair, and we all received glowing compliments about our hair from guests all night.

Sonia and her girls with Tahoe Hair & Makeup were beyond amazing! I do not wear makeup on a daily basis so I was worried about getting fake lashes and having over the top makeup on my wedding day. Sonia made my makeup look so natural yet beautiful! I received compliments all evening, especially from my husband! She also made my hair look amazing just from a few pictures and general ideas I gave her. Such a pro! My bridesmaids also enjoyed having Sonia and her girls there. These ladies were amazing! They had a 2 hour drive to get to our location with the first person having to be done at 6a with a storm brewing. Everyone's hair and makeup came out beautiful and they were there to do any touch up as we walked out the door! I would recommend this venue again. My sister in law, the bride, looked absolutely stunning! A very warm demeanor from them all made everyone comfortable!

Sonia and her team were such a blessing! Due to covid restrictions, we had to wait until the last minute when it came to planning and finalizing for our wedding just in case we had to cancel or postpone. Once we knew we were going to have an elopement ceremony I was in a bit of a panic trying to book a stylist because everyone seemed to be booked or ridiculously expensive. Thankfully, I found Sonia with Tahoe hair n makeup. She immediately put my mind at ease and worked with me to get everything scheduled. Sonia responded to all of my questions in a timely and professional manner. She even scheduled a last-minute trial with me before the wedding. We had 10 people total getting their hair and makeup done, therefore we needed 3 stylists to ensure we got done on time. Unfortunately, we were staying in a cabin that was just about 2hrs away from the stylist, but that didn't stop them from leaving their homes before 4 am to get to us by 6 am, not to mention they drove through a snowstorm to get to us! They not only arrived promptly but were ready to get right to work. Sonia had put together a schedule before the day of the wedding and all three stylists were aware and prepared to stay on schedule. Sonia did both my hair and makeup and I can truly say that she made me feel beautiful on my wedding day, just as a bride should. I have extremely long-thick hair, but that didn't phase her. She made it seem effortless! As anyone can imagine I was a bundle of nerves that morning but Sonia's vibrant personality had me laughing and engaged the entire time. We will be having our reception in April and I can say without a doubt, I will have Sonia and her team booked to do our hair and makeup again. The mere fact that they were able to make 10 women feel beautiful and happy with their hair and makeup speaks volumes about the work they do!

There was 2 stylists and 1 MUA for about 10 girls and these 3 did amazing. Sonia was super friendly and did an amazing job with my hair. I have thick, curly hair, and wanted a half up/down messy braided look and she nailed it. Great conversation, very easy going, and the rest of the team was just the same. I like that they hung out with us while the bride got her hair/make up done and did touch ups before we all left. I highly recommend these ladies due to their friendly nature, quick work, and the quality of their work.

I traveled to the South Lake Tahoe area to elope. Not knowing anyone to provide suggestions, I googled hair and make up in the area. I ran across Tahoe Hair and Make Up. What a blessing the universe put in my path. Sonia made me feel as if I had family and friends surrounding me on my special day. My make up and hair were absolutely perfect (and I’m very high maintenance 😬). She took her time and exceeded my expectations by far. She even pulled out the iron and helped me iron my dress. I could not have asked for a better experience and outcome. I’d highly suggest her for any occasion.

Sonia was very professional and made me feel comfortable and relaxed while she was doing my hair and makeup. She came to my hotel room at the time she said she would and finished right on time. My hair and makeup came out very nice.

Sonia was fantastic doing both my hair and makeup for my elopement! Her makeup work looked fantastic and lasted all day and night for the photos - she ensured I looked great but that my freckles still showed! My hair looked gorgeous as well - it's quite thin and usually falls flat after a few hours but again her work kept the curls going all day and night. Very well priced and a lovely person as well!

Sonia was absolutly amazing. She was perfect on timing and her skills are off the charts! Sonia was great at helping me laugh of stress of my moms (because you know this day is always more stressful for them!). She was understanding with my health issues and let me take breaks when I needed to. I would 100% recommend her for your event!

I struggled with the decision as to whether or not I would do my own hair and nails for my destination wedding at Lake Tahoe. I wouldn't have the opportunity to meet before the wedding. I was so grateful to find Sonia for my wedding. I didn't have a formal wedding party, but wanted my own hair and makeup done for the occasion. Where most other salons refused to help without a minimum number of services, Sonia was able to come out to our venue on her own (The Hideout) to do both my hair and makeup on site. She did a breathtaking job with both, nailing the more natural look I was going for given the outdoor venue, and managing to tame my extra thick hair into an gorgeous braid/low updo. She was also super responsive during the planning process and made herself available to do a practice run a month before our wedding, as well as for a last minute visit prior to our engagement photos. Her prices are well worth her talent, patience, and upbeat attitude. Would highly recommend to anyone getting married in the Tahoe area!
