Since this was during COVID-19, she wore a mask the whole time and had us do the same until it was time to get our makeup done. As someone who does not wear makeup, I was happy with what Marianna did. Though I showed her some inspiration photos, she was able to gauge my comfort level with makeup and what would look best. My mom was also concerned about not looking like herself with makeup on and Marianna did a great job giving us both natural looks. She created beautiful hairstyles for all us, both up and down. My mother-in-law loved her hair so much that she kept it in through the next day! Everyone wanted something a little different and she was able to execute it all skillfully. I would highly recommend Marianna for both hair and makeup services in the area.

lon on the big day, which was very easy to find since there is a chevron gas station you can’t miss it. When we got to the salon she made us feel very welcomed and allowed us to get ready there she offered refreshments and we quickly started do to wedding time getting closer. Before we got to Tahoe I purchased 100% human extension that she applied and fixed with our hairs and made us look like queens. The perfect volume as high as we wanted them and every curl was right where it needed to be. Great lighting inside, nice big mirrors for make up. Thank goodness they had an elevator after we got dressed And I put my heels on I was not ready for those stairs in heels. Thank you again Marianna for being a part of my special day we felt and looked gorgeous after you were done with us.

a 4 minute drive from Marianna’s salon, I showed her pictures of the idea I had in mind for my updo and she made it come to life, looking better than I could’ve imagined. My appointment was timely, lasting an hour, keeping me right on schedule for the rest of my big day. I highly recommend Marianna, fast, affordable and most importantly personable. My pictures came out great and my hair looked perfect!

On the day of the wedding her and a fellow co-worker came to our Tahoe rental and did our hair and make up through all the chaos of the morning. She even made sure I was eating (although with stress and nerves I didn't want to) so that I would be full of energy for my day. I would recommend her to anyone for their wedding or special event. She can do anything from super glamorous to more natural-looking and takes into account everything the customer desires from start to finish. She is efficient and a wonderful conversationalist.

anted it to be just us. While the trip to Tahoe had been planned for about a year, we actually didn't decide to get married until a week before our trip. My wife said "If you can figure it all out, then we can get married". LOL! I made a TON of last minute long distance calls arranging venues, ministers, restaurants, and "thought" she was going to take care of the hair and makeup arrangements. That's the "brides" part - right? NOPE! She said again if "YOU" can make all the arrangements... I called a few hair/makeup places in Tahoe and was shocked and amazed at how DIFFICULT, FRUSTRATING and ANNOYING these places were to deal with. Then I called Marianna Lucido at TAHOE WEDDING HAIR. It was like the clouds parted and the angles started singing. She was AMAZING! She booked us for the consult, my wife immediately liked her (which is not usual with my wife), and Marianna booked us to for OUR schedule. Very accommodating, very flexible, and very compassionate. I am older (in my late 50's) and have dealt with a lot of shops over the years, and I was beyond happy with Marianna. She styled my wife's hair BEAUTIFULLY, and even arranged for FLOWERS and a bouquet. Part of the hair was a rose wreath that was laced into my wifes hair. I wish I could post a photo (she'd kill me), but it actually was the most beautiful style I had ever seen. IMHO, dont waste time calling around to other shops. Actually, DO call other shops, THEN call Marianna. You'll immediately see what I found. Sincerely, she is the BEST hair designer in the area. You WONT be disappointed.

s more reasonable prices. My hair held up through the whole ceremony, which took place outdoors and had a light breeze. My makeup was airbrushed and did not need any touch-ups or reapplications. It was so light on my face that it felt like I wasn't wearing makeup! She also used some CC cream from her makeup line, Lake Tahoe Cosmetics, that took away the reddish glow on my face and evened out my skin tone. I would 100% recommend Marianna. She is a true professional and a beauty expert.

sly offered to do airbrush at the normal makeup price so that I could see how it felt, what it looked like, and how it lasted. The trial went well and I was very impressed with Marianna’s work. The day of my wedding I decided to go with airbrush and I couldn’t be happier. The weather on the day of the wedding called for rain and possible snow. While taking pre-ceremony wedding photos snow flurries began to fall and the wind picked up, but my hair and makeup held and lasted the whole day! I was going for a natural look and Mariana nailed it! Communication with Marianna was great and easy. We communicated mostly via email and her responses were timely and clear. On the wedding day, Marianna arrived promptly at the bridal suite and got to work. She was on her feet all day and didn’t take a break at all! Overall, I am very happy with Marianna’s service and would recommend her to anyone.

eedy for money. Because of her tardiness, I lost out on my $250 photography session. I barely have any pictures for my wedding! When she did my hair, I showed her several pictures of what I wanted...she did something completely different. When she did my makeup, she attempted to put on fake eyelashes and got the glue all over my eyelids, eyelashes and under my eye. Plus the eyelashes she put on made me look like a hooker, I had to trim them myself. Everytime that I blinked during my wedding day, eyelashes would stick to the glue on my eyelids. On my wedding night, I spent 2 hours soaking my eyes hoping that the lashes would come out - they didn't. I had clumps of glue and fake lashes on my real eyelashes for 3 weeks and lost 75% of my real lashes. My sister asked for a light mauve for her eyeshadow and wanted to look natural, she ended up getting bright purple eyeshadow. My mom, sister and myself had to fix all our makeup right before the wedding because we all had black under our eyes (this was only 45 minutes after she did our makeup). We all did not receive mascara or lipstick - isn't that part of what we paid for?! Marianna was finishing my hair as I was getting on my wedding dress, which ruined having that special moment with my mom and sister. It also ruined the pictures having Marianna in them. I have been trying to contact her for months to resolve this issue, but she has never gotten back to me. She is unprofessional and does not have the experience she claims to have. Many of Lake Tahoe vendors have taken her off of their recommendation list - that should say something in itself.
