I went to Marianna to get my hair and makeup done for my wedding & I’m so glad I did. She was kind and so easy to talk to yet professional, which was wonderful to calm my nerves. I was going for a natural glow for my big day and she delivered, emulating the inspiration pictures I sent her. Plus, my hair & makeup lasted all day and night outside & through some tears! Marianna was great! She was efficient and did makeup for my whole party. Everyone looked elegant and despite having our wedding on a boat (and despite my own tears lol) everyone’s makeup stayed put! In a pinch, Marianna came to my rescue when my original makeup artist canceled on me at the last minute. Marianna was punctual, professional yet warm, genuine, and personable. We had a destination wedding in which only our children and my spouse eloped at Emerald Bay. Marianna did an exquisite job on both my hair and my daughter’s hair. Mariana did the MOST AMAZING job with my hair and makeup for my wedding day. Since we eloped, the pictures had to be perfect and everyone agreed I have never looked better! Marianna did my hair and makeup for my August 2022 wedding. She is a delight to work with. I have thick, curly hair and am south Asian with brown skin. She knew exactly how to work with my hair type and complexion and made me feel comfortable and like I could trust her skill. She helped me, my mom, and my mother-in-law look our best with wonderful hair and makeup. I had her do airbrush makeup for me, and it stayed on perfectly and made me feel beautiful. I asked for a fairly neutral, natural look and it was excellent. She provided a little bit of lipstick for touch-ups during the day as well. She is generous with her time and I think charged fairly for her skill and experience level. She also is friendly and a great conversationalist.

We found Marianna last minute as the girl who was originally supposed to do our make up cancelled 3 days before the wedding. She was friendly, helpful and did an amazing job. There were 4 of us ranging in age from 39-80 and we were all very happy with the way it turned out. I was looking for something very natutal, nothing too bold or dramatic with a little bit of color, and thats exactly what she delivered. She also did my mom (58 yrs old) and my grandmas (80yrs old) hair and it came out beautifully! Age appropriate for both and we couldn't have asked for more.

Fabulous experience! Would definitely recommend Marianna for hair and makeup. The lady we had scheduled to do our hair and makeup for my son's wedding canceled 3 days before the wedding. Marianna was able to move some appointments around to accommodate us (there were 4 of us). We were all very pleased with not only her work, but how engaging she was. As stressful as it was to have the original person cancel on us we were glad she did because of the great experience we had with Marianna.

Marianna is AMAZING! Marianna did my hair and make-up for my December wedding and she was fantastic. We had done a trial run before and she remembered everything I wanted. I wanted my hair half-up and half-down with curls and natural make with a pop of color on the lips. This is exactly what she did. Not only was my hair perfect but she was great to work with. Marianna provided hair and make-up services for my recent wedding. She was able to come to our house, which made getting ready easy and convenient. Working with her was seamless and she was fun to have around as we got ready. She did hair and makeup for me, my mom, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law. She had us budget about six hours total and finished with time to spare. Since this was during COVID-19, she wore a mask the whole time and had us do the same until it was time to get our makeup done. As someone who does not wear makeup, I was happy with what Marianna did. Though I showed her some inspiration photos, she was able to gauge my comfort level with makeup and what would look best. My mom was also concerned about not looking like herself with makeup on and Marianna did a great job giving us both natural looks. She created beautiful hairstyles for all us, both up and down. My mother-in-law loved her hair so much that she kept it in through the next day! Everyone wanted something a little different and she was able to execute it all skillfully. I would highly recommend Marianna for both hair and makeup services in the area.

Marianna was absolutely amazing and her work shows it. It was easy to make an appointment, she called right back. We kept in touch for a few month in because we did not know what the weather would bring us. We agreed it was best to go to the salon on the big day, which was very easy to find since there is a chevron gas station you can’t miss it. When we got to the salon she made us feel very welcomed and allowed us to get ready there she offered refreshments and we quickly started do to wedding time getting closer. Before we got to Tahoe I purchased 100% human extension that she applied and fixed with our hairs and made us look like queens. The perfect volume as high as we wanted them and every curl was right where it needed to be. Great lighting inside, nice big mirrors for make up. Thank goodness they had an elevator after we got dressed And I put my heels on I was not ready for those stairs in heels. Perfect place for a fast and beautiful hairstyling for a wedding! Marianna is lovely! A skilled professional whose hospitality makes you so glad you chose her. My husband and I eloped to Tahoe and stayed at the Lake Tahoe resort hotel which is a 4 minute drive from Marianna’s salon, I showed her pictures of the idea I had in mind for my updo and she made it come to life, looking better than I could’ve imagined. My appointment was timely, lasting an hour, keeping me right on schedule for the rest of my big day. I highly recommend Marianna, fast, affordable and most importantly personable. My pictures came out great and my hair looked perfect!

Marianna is such a sweet and wonderful person. She made me and my family feel at home when I came to see her to get my hair and makeup done for the Marine Corps Ball on November 11, 2019. I traveled from South San Francisco to Lake Tahoe where the ball was going to be held and she took me in right away. She did my hair for our engagmemt photos. She met us early in the morning so we were able to make our photo appointment. She graciously let me use her salon to put my own makeup on and get changed after a long drive. My hair turned out amazing and the curls held all day which is super rare for my hair. She is full of great tips and information about the area and different venues. I will definitely be booking her for my wedding. Awesome experience and very straight forward on what is doable and what’s not.

Marianna is awesome! She was extremely responsive and communicative, and really cares about doing makeup the way you want. She was very punctual, relaxed and cheerful! We had a family member do our hair, but she did makeup for 6 of us, each slightly different based on our likes and dislikes. Marianna was wonderful when it came to doing hair and make up for my big day. I ran across a car on fire on my way to Tahoe for my trial run and she was very accommodating with me being late due to the road being closed. She was patient and listened to everything I desired for my hair and make up. On the day of the wedding her and a fellow co-worker came to our Tahoe rental and did our hair and make up through all the chaos of the morning. She even made sure I was eating (although with stress and nerves I didn't want to) so that I would be full of energy for my day. I would recommend her to anyone for their wedding or special event. She can do anything from super glamorous to more natural-looking and takes into account everything the customer desires from start to finish. She is efficient and a wonderful conversationalist.

I just have to say, Marianna is the best! We came to Tahoe for our destination wedding & rented an estate in Stateline for the ceremony. I didn't have an opportunity to do a hair & makeup trial beforehand, and was a little nervous about going into the big day not knowing how things would turn out. I shared with her some pictures of what I wanted, and she did exactly that. Needless to say, Marianna helped me look like the beautiful bride I wanted to be - all the while making the appointment fun and eased some of my pre-wedding jitters with her great sense of humor. I'm grateful to have had such a great lady be apart of by wedding memories.

*** Husband Review *** I realize most of these reviews are done by brides/wives, but I wanted to offer my thoughts from the "guy" perspective. My wife and I had eloped to Tahoe in March 2019. As a second marriage for both of us, we decided we wanted it to be just us. While the trip to Tahoe had been planned for about a year, we actually didn't decide to get married until a week before our trip. My wife said "If you can figure it all out, then we can get married". LOL! I made a TON of last minute long distance calls arranging venues, ministers, restaurants, and "thought" she was going to take care of the hair and makeup arrangements. That's the "brides" part - right? NOPE! She said again if "YOU" can make all the arrangements... I called a few hair/makeup places in Tahoe and was shocked and amazed at how DIFFICULT, FRUSTRATING and ANNOYING these places were to deal with. Then I called Marianna Lucido at TAHOE WEDDING HAIR. It was like the clouds parted and the angles started singing. She was AMAZING! She booked us for the consult, my wife immediately liked her (which is not usual with my wife), and Marianna booked us to for OUR schedule. Very accommodating, very flexible, and very compassionate. I am older (in my late 50's) and have dealt with a lot of shops over the years, and I was beyond happy with Marianna. She styled my wife's hair BEAUTIFULLY, and even arranged for FLOWERS and a bouquet. Part of the hair was a rose wreath that was laced into my wifes hair. I wish I could post a photo (she'd kill me), but it actually was the most beautiful style I had ever seen. IMHO, dont waste time calling around to other shops. Actually, DO call other shops, THEN call Marianna. You'll immediately see what I found. Sincerely, she is the BEST hair designer in the area. You WONT be disappointed.

Marianna did my hair and makeup for my wedding ceremony on June 1st. I chose to come to her instead of using the hair salon at Harrah's Lake Tahoe (where I stayed the night before my ceremony) because she offers early-morning start times and has more reasonable prices. My hair held up through the whole ceremony, which took place outdoors and had a light breeze. My makeup was airbrushed and did not need any touch-ups or reapplications. It was so light on my face that it felt like I wasn't wearing makeup! She also used some CC cream from her makeup line, Lake Tahoe Cosmetics, that took away the reddish glow on my face and evened out my skin tone. I would 100% recommend Marianna. She is a true professional and a beauty expert.

Marianna did hair and makeup for me, my bridal party, and my mother for my wedding and she did a wonderful job on everyone! I had never had my makeup done and I was unsure about getting regular makeup or airbrush. At my trial, Marianna generously offered to do airbrush at the normal makeup price so that I could see how it felt, what it looked like, and how it lasted. The trial went well and I was very impressed with Marianna’s work. The day of my wedding I decided to go with airbrush and I couldn’t be happier. The weather on the day of the wedding called for rain and possible snow. While taking pre-ceremony wedding photos snow flurries began to fall and the wind picked up, but my hair and makeup held and lasted the whole day! I was going for a natural look and Mariana nailed it! Communication with Marianna was great and easy. We communicated mostly via email and her responses were timely and clear. On the wedding day, Marianna arrived promptly at the bridal suite and got to work. She was on her feet all day and didn’t take a break at all! Overall, I am very happy with Marianna’s service and would recommend her to anyone.

On the day of the wedding she did the hair of 3 flower girls, 2 bridesmaids, 2 moms, the bride AND she was very flexible- even fit in an extra hair for my friend who flew in to surprise me last minute on the wedding day. She was timely and our hair looked just like the photo examples we asked for. Our hair held up through strong wind at a beach wedding ceremony and looked great for the reception. You can not go wrong with Marianna.

Marianna was amazing! I loved my hair and makeup she did for my wedding. She was on time and very professional. She worked around my little girl who did not want to leave my lap. Mariana Lucido did a fantastic job making up our wedding party. The Bride, 2 brides maids and 3 young flower girls. She not only made them beautiful but she complimented them and boosted all their confidences. All in a timely manner. She made it a fun and beautiful day!

Marianna was perfect! She was recommended by my photographer and she did not disappoint. She came to our cabin and did mine and my bridesmaids hair and makeup. They all loved her and how easy she was to work with. They were able to show her a picture right there and she did their hair just perfect! Such a pleasure to work with. Marianna is not only a professional but such a talented makeup artist and hair stylist! My makeup was flawless - stayed the entire night and really reflected the elegant look I was going for. She listens and really cares about her clients wishes! My hair also is a task, there is a lot of it and it can be frizzy but she conquered it no problem and styled it into a beautiful side ponytail. Marianna and Suzette came to my hotel room at Mont Bleu to do hair and make up for me, my four bridesmaids and my mom. Everyone's hair and makeup was perfect and exactly what they asked for. I had don't my hair trial in April. Marianna and I went over changes that I wanted. I even added a last minute headpiece. Everything was perfect and held all night. Highly recommend!

Suzette did airbrush makeup and hair for me and regular makeup and hair for my bridesmaids. She's magic with airbrush and made sure to go over everything we wanted. We each had different hair types and skin tones and we all looked great. She also came to us, which was convenient.

Marianna is so much fun and a great hair/make up person to boot! She did five very different hair styles for everyone from the Mother of the Groom to myself and planned the amount of time needed perfectly. I would recommend her to anyone :)
