oped for. Our guests were raving about it all night and even after the wedding!
Not only did it taste incredible, but the presentation was gorgeous as well. You can tell how much care and artistry goes into their work.
If you’re looking for a bakery that delivers both flavor and beauty, Take the Cake is the one. We were genuinely blown away!

ing long distance. Laurie was very communicative throughout the whole process, making it smooth and stress-free. I was not able to do a tasting ahead of time, and she helped me choose my combination of butter pecan cake, cream cheese mousse filling, and vanilla frosting. It. Was. AMAZING. And did I say beautiful?
I cannot recommend Laurie and Take the Cake enough!!
Laurie is an amazing baker and amazing person. From beginning to end and even 2 years beyond the end she has been a delight to work with and her cakes have been a delight to eat. M...
y wife and I weren't sure what to choose for our wedding dessert, as we can be nontraditional and are not usually big fans of cake. Laurie's way of setting up the tasting was so cool--she allowed us to taste our cake, filling, and frosting options in every combination with a scorecard, making the process fun and allowing us to make just the right choice for every element. Laurie's wedding cake made it clear we made the the right choice for our special day. All of our guests commented on the wonderful cake. From the taste to the cake's aesthetics, from Laurie's responsiveness to her reliability, everything about our experience was exceptional. We found our wedding cake so incredible that we asked her to recreate it in miniature for our 2-year anniversary.
This cake was so insanely beautiful and tasted AMAZING! and we felt Laurie was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend ! We met with Laurie to do a taste test for our wed...
ding cake. The taste testing set was adorable , we loved it! We got to try multiple flavors with different frostings and fillings. We chose each layer to be a different flavor, and they were all sooo good. Laurie is great to work with and we are glad that we chose for her to be the one to bake the cake for our wedding.
Our cake was BOTH beautiful and DELICIOUS!!! Laurie was a joy to work with and her work was impeccable! She listened to our vision and made sure the cake was exactly what we want...
ed. We met with Laurie to do a tasting and she prepared a huge goody bag with cakes, fillings, and icings that we picked off her menu. Honestly, everything we tasted was amazing, but the one thing that surprised us was how scrumptious her raspberry filling is! Give us a jar of that stuff anytime! Our guests absolutely loved the cake; even those who don’t like cake! The price was right for her cake and there was absolutely no compromise on the look or taste! She also delivered the cake from Cottonwood to our wedding in Sedona. Thank you for giving us Sedona brides some affordable options for a gorgeous wedding cake!
We are looking forward to ordering our anniversary cakes from Laurie!! Thank you!

ctures of their work. All of my communications were completed via email or text. I worked with Laurie E and she was very responsive to all my communications and answered my questions in a timely manner. I sent her pictures and provided specifics of how I wanted my wedding cake to look and taste. I am very picky when it comes to cakes and icing as I don’t like super sweet icing at all. Laurie took my feedback and incorporated some of her own expertise and created the absolutely perfect wedding cake. We received numerous compliments from our wedding guests on the taste and appearance. We didn’t have 1 piece of cake left at the end of the night. Even the bride/groom cake got eaten. I am so thankful I chose Take The Cake to make my wedding cake and I would highly recommend this bakery no matter the occasion. Just go to the website and check out pictures of items they have made and you will see why I chose them. Thank you Laurie for taking my visions and making the perfect wedding cake for my special day!
