I began dancing at age 3 and performing in musicals at age 7. Since then, I've earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from Penn State and performed professionally all over the US and abroad.
When a friend asked me to give her and her fiancee some tips for their First Dance, I was happy to oblige! Little did I know that I would fall in love with helping people realize the vision they have for their first steps as a married couple.

Becca choreographed our first dance song for our wedding, something we were anxious about and not looking forward too. She choreographed the perfect dance to our song choice and we are now very excited to dance at our event. Neither of us have dance backgrounds, but her way of teaching makes it super easy to understand. Becca makes the whole experience fun and enjoyable and we couldn’t recommend her enough!

Becca was such a perfect addition to our wedding. My husband and I are for sure not dancers but Becca made us so comfortable and was so adaptable to whatever we were comfortable. Becca was a joy to work with always came in with a huge smile and never took herself too seriously. Would recommend her for to any couple seeking low-key dance lessons.

Becca was amazing to work with!! She really took things down to the basics and took the time to teach us basic steps first before overwhelming us with choreography. She made us feel comfortable and we genuinely had the best time in our classes and practicing our dance. All of our guests were blown away by our dance and loved it so much!! Thank you Becca!!!

Becca was an absolute delight to work with! She tailored the choreography to exactly fit our needs, and came to our home for instruction during this busy time. My formerly wary groom now enjoys dancing and feels confident thanks to Becca’s lessons. We are thrilled with Becca's services! Working with her was a dream. She made it so EASY, even for inexperienced dancers. She listened to us, gave us great advice on picking a song, and then choreographed something for us that was totally unique. I believe we met a total of three times - Becca had broken down the sessions so that our brains could handle the instruction and movement. She took video of my partner (now husband!) and I dancing so we could study it and improve. We met a final time over Zoom so Becca could watch us do a final run-through.
Seriously, if you are wanting to give your First Dance a little lift, or if any part of you wants a professional touch, please, please book her. She knows what she's about. She's friendly, professional, down-to-earth. We looked great! I'm still in the process of waiting for photos/videos, but when I have them, I'll be sure to share!

I cannot recommend Take the Floor highly enough! Becca transformed us into dancers we didn’t know that we could be! Our first dance was one of the parts of our wedding that we were most worried about, and it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the evening.
I had not danced since ballet class when I was about 6, and my husband might as well have had two left feet. We did not even know where to start, so reached out to Becca just to get “some basic moves” so that we at least seemed to know what we were doing on the dance floor. Becca delivered on WAY more than just that!
Becca is patient, kind, enthusiastic, fun and easy to work with. She met us where we were (which was, having zero rhythm or dance experience at all) and continued to practice and work with us over and over until we felt comfortable with each move. We did not want an overly choreographed dance, and Becca came up with a number that didn’t feel choreographed but made us comfortable remembering the steps and counts. Becca alleviated all of our fears and anxiety with our lessons which translated to our wedding as well. Our first dance became one of our favorite parts of the night, and we had so dang much fun doing it. We would not have been saying this without Becca’s help! She’s a dancing QUEEN and we are so grateful to have had her help us!

Becca was absolutely amazing! We called her in a panic a few weeks before our wedding with zero dance experience, and she worked with us in just two sessions to come up with a dance that fit us perfectly. Our guests loved it and we got tons of compliments! Becca was fun and non intimidating and just so helpful. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. THANK YOU!!!

Becca was a wonderful instructor, and put together the perfect choreography for my father/daughter dance. She was extremely professional and easy to work with, and did a great job adapting to our needs (slow learners) while making sure we still had fun. In the end my father totally stole the show!
