Talega Atelier is a luxury Bridal and Couture Eveningwear Salon based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Led by renowned gown designer Melanie Figueroa, this fully bespoke service offers dress design and alteration services to clients in the Miami/Broward region. Talega Atelier has showcased in prestigious fashion show events like New York Fashion Week, Miami Art Basel, Puerto Rico Couture Week and will showcase in Paris Fashion Week in October 2nd, 2025. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico and began her design journey at 16. While still in high school, she took haute couture lessons with Marta Gutierrez, a local fashion designer. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Miami International University of Art and Design, she worked as a fashion designer for several companies. With Talega Atelier, Melanie has pursued her dream of providing women with a one on one design experience in which you are a part of the design process.
