Talitha Tarro Photography is a wedding photographer based in Albuquerque, NM. Weddings are about capturing the unique beauty in each couple and the moments that come with it. My goal with each couple that I photograph is to capture the beautiful, unique spark that makes your relationship your own. I always strive to create a fun, playful experience with imagery to match. My photojournalistic style, combined with the stunning natural landscape of New Mexico, ensures your special day is captured artistically. This leaves you with a collection of beautiful imagery to cherish for years to come. To bring your vision to life, I offer completely customizable packages with services that include 6-9 hours of coverage, engagement sessions, up to two photographers on the day, and more. For the most part, I am a lifelong New Mexican. My favorite parts of living in the high desert is the way the light falls over the landscape and the long, uninterrupted views when you find the right vantage point. I love monsoon storms and big puffy clouds in the summer.

Talitha and her crew were nothing short of exceptional—professional in every way. My now-husband and I had never had professional portraits taken before, but after this experience, we’re considering doing it again! The entire process was fun, and the encouragement from Talitha and her team made us feel completely at ease on our special day. She provided just the right amount of direction for poses without being overbearing. The final results were excellent, everything we hoped for and more! She has an excellent eye for detail and sense of lighting. The photos captured the setting, people, and mood of the event! Talitha was incredibly easy to work with. Her team came well-prepared with all the necessary gear, and with two assistants, they went all out to capture every moment. It truly felt like she brought her A-game. She worked seamlessly with our wedding coordinator, Shelby (Shelby Your Day) and photographer Brad (Southwest Wedding Films). Though she and Shelby hadn’t collaborated before, their scheduling consultation was smooth, and they came up with great ideas to ensure the evening flowed perfectly. When working with Talitha, you can tell that she loves what she does—her passion shines through in her work. Highly recommended!

Talitha is so amazing, not only were we fortunate to find her for our wedding 9 years ago, we "gifted her" to our niece for her wedding this last fall. She puts so much care and respect into understanding family and friends dynamics, pre-planning, scouting, looking for every opportunity to provide amazing photos (weather, location, unique opportunities, ALL of the feels). If you are as awkward as we are in front of a camera you will appreciate her "ninja" style. Through the course of the event, she captured our REAL personalities, as well as quiet moments with family, goofy friends, special happenings. I think sometimes people under value wedding photos. DON'T. We have her photos on our walls they are such beautiful works of art. We get love seeing moments we never would have (because every wedding is a blur for the happy couple). And we get choked up seeing the folks who are no longer with us, as well as those who are now married themselves enjoying each other and our happy day together. I can say, especially on this last note, she went over and above for us when we had a loss. She is such a kind and warm human, you won't only want her as a photographer, you'll want her as a friend.

I want to be really thorough and honest about how much we loved Talitha’s work! This a belated post. We hired Talitha for our wedding and engagement shoot about a year in advance of our wedding. She was fantastic in detailing her style and how she shoots and meeting what our expectations would be. Her style of photography is absolutely gorgeous and very natural which is something we loved and wanted. I left a thorough about our engagement shoot already, so please see that. In regards to our wedding, she was there in a timely manner (we had hired two photographers). She never felt in the way. The pictures were absolutely perfect in capturing those when no one’s looking moments which we loved. Her photography team was onsite for almost 12 hours if not more, because I really wanted Talitha’s famous night photography which I highly recommend. Talitha is also able to capture us against the natural landscape so well with beautiful natural lighting. At one point, I was in my heavy wedding outfit and high heels, out on a ledge but anything for the shot ;D My husband and I and other family members were blown away by all the results. The wait time between our wedding and final products was less than a month for wedding photo previews which was great and perfectly timed for nostalgia and waiting sake and about 1.5 months for final products. I would highly recommend working with Talitha and her team. If another opportunity arises, we would elatedly work with her again! Thank you so much Talitha!!

Talitha is kind and professional and her photos are gorgeous! She set us and all of our guests at ease and beautifully captured all the joyful moments on our wedding day. She was also super responsive and lovely to work with in the planning process and worked well with all our other vendors. Talitha is AMAZING. LGBTQ+ friendly vendor, great to work with, and her photos are beautiful. Great communication, responds to messages quickly and clearly, kind, and was always on time. She created a day-of timeline for us that was so incredibly helpful to get our day set up and made it easier to finalize details with all our other vendors. At the wedding, she arrived on time and prepared, and throughout the night seemed to be everywhere. Our bridal party and guests all loved her. She brought an assistant (whose name I forgot in the blur of the night, I'm so sorry!) whose extra lighting made so many of the etherial looks in our photos possible. Talitha also recommended our videographer to us who we loved as well, so she has great leads if you're still looking for more vendors to work alongside her. We had our wedding at Meow Wolf, which is an incredibly difficult/unique lighting situation, and Talitha handled it beautifully. We struggled to find NM photographers with any similar lighting in their portfolios, but we finally found Talitha's gorgeous nighttime shots and she assured us she could handle our venue. In addition to our lighting concerns, she also worked with us to slightly customize a package to better suit our budget and was easy to talk to about how we wanted her to handle specific difficult family dynamics that had a potential to impact the night (which they thankfully did not!). We're one week out from our wedding so we just got the previews back, and they're INCREDIBLE. I thought I'd be lucky to get 5 photos in an entire gallery that I love as much as I love every single preview shot she's sent. I can't wait to see the rest, 100/100 I would recommend her in a heartbeat, BOOK HER!

Talitha was absolutely fabulous and really captured the essence of our special day! We had a zoom meeting prior to the wedding and instantly felt confident and comfortable with her. She took the time to get to know us and what's important to us. When we looked at the final pictures this was apparent! She was familiar with the venue and gave us tips and ideas about the ceremony I hadn't even considered. On the day of the ceremony she was a calming presence in the midst of the craziness there to capture every special moment. As if she was family or a close friend anticipating every need. Our sunset couple pictures after the ceremony was one of my most cherished memories from that day! She accommodate pictures our baby and captured bedtime despite our baby being overtired and fussy because she knew it was important to me. The pictures exceeded our expectations! The use of light and the attention to details and most importan depicting the story and capturing every moment was what really makes Talitha stand out! Our preview pictures came so fast. The final USB in a beautiful box with sample photos that was a pleasant surprise. We were so pleased we are planning to book get for family and maternity photos. Thank you Talitha!

Talitha...Wow, what an amazing photographer and honestly, an amazing person to interact with. We selected Talitha after looking at examples of her work on instagram and we were immediately hooked after seeing the fairytale like photos. Looking back on our wedding day, we realized that Talitha ended up catching all the little details that really mattered to us and while we also got the signature couple shots that are just magical and that we initially wanted, the ones that we truly cherish are the ones she seemed to have just known that we would love. Talitha is one of the most talented and kindest photographers I’ve ever met. She has a very artistic eye, and uses light to create a beautiful image and feeling of your event. Talitha took our engagement photos in Elena Gallegos Park and on the Sandia Crest. We were immediately met with a kind, warm, and personable professional who made us feel at ease and knew her craft well. She is very good at communicating how to pose and has creative ideas for her photos. Talitha even incorporated an idea we had into the shoot that made it truly special. Our family and friends have had nothing but awe for our engagement shots. She was generous with her time, paying more attention to the quality of her shots rather than the time limit for our shoot. AMAZING! We couldn't have picked a better photographer! Talitha was an absolute dream to work with for our little wedding at a ranch in Sapello, NM. Everything she did to make us feel comfortable for our wedding day was amazing. Talitha walked through everything with us, made the photo session fun and easy and provided some great (extremely helpful) insight on other aspects of the wedding from her experience. Talitha knows exactly what to do and does it well. She is an incredibly talented photographer and is extremely caring about her clients, and her recommendations were great. Talitha traveled 2.5 hours for our wedding and even made the trip a week prior to meet with us and tour the wedding venue prior to the ceremony to ensure that everyone was on the same page. Her services went above and beyond photography which contributed to such a fun ceremony and many memories. The prices were more than fair for our wedding photography package, and the quality we have seen in her photos is spectacular. If we are ever looking for a photo session in New Mexico, Talitha will be our go to photographer!

Its hard to believe that it's been over a year since Talitha shot our wedding (sorry, Talitha the review is so late!). She popped up on a number of lists as one of Albuquerques best photographers; but really we had looked at her from the beginning. My now husband had gone to college in Albuquerque with Talitha (Go Lobos!) and she loved cats. So clearly, she was going to be amazing. Although Dan and I met when I lived in Albuquerque (he was born and raised there, I am from Colorado), we had moved away and were living in Ohio. We always knew we would be back in NM for our wedding though and that we would need someone local to help make the most of the short time we would be in town for our wedding in October 2018. Talitha was SO GREAT-we had a number of phone calls prior to the day to discuss what we wanted, what was more or less important to us and to review all the details. She worked with our day of coordinator and our venue seamlessly; which was fantastic: planning a wedding from 2000 miles away is stressful. The day of the wedding she and her assistant were wonderful - neither my husband or I particularly likes to be the center of attention, but Talitha made it all so easy and so much fun! And then, at the end of it all, we got some truly amazing photos. There aren't words to describe how much I love the pictures we got from that day. I am already trying to plan another reason to hire Talitha to take more photos of us! I cant recommend her highly enough!

an hour ago It was a joy to have Talitha as our wedding photographer. She was so helpful in the preplanning stages as to giving me a rundown and brainstorming how our day could go. This helped do much with coordinating our other vendors and timing. Loved doing the first look and was grateful she had done it before with other brides. She gives great suggestions and made it so easy to say yes!!! She was great with my groom who hates pictures! She is very patient and customer oriented, and definitely made this brides planning go much easier! We had a fun time doing pictures with her and her assistant! If gorgeous, highest quality photos of your wedding is important to you, book Talitha now! She is the absolute best. We chose her because of the incredible outdoor photos we saw on her website and we wanted the natural landscape of our home featured. She took the time to get to know what was important to us, created a time-line of events and found beautiful locations for our shots. We are so happy that we choose Talitha to photograph our July wedding! She is simply the best and it is no surprise that she has tons of wonderful reviews. We didn’t do an engagement session since we were planning our wedding from out of state and knew it was important to have the right person who could do an amazing job the first time working with us. PHENOMENAL! We did both our engagement and wedding photos with Talitha and feel like she went above and beyond to capture the essence of US. She was professional, punctual, and easy to communicate. I hardly noticed her presence during our wedding (didn't feel like having a photographer up in your face), but her photos show that she was present for every moment - and we are so grateful we get to relive our day through her lens! We booked Talitha for our destination wedding, coming up in September 2018. When we decided to travel out to Santa Fe a year in advance to meet with vendors and try to get some planning done, we contacted her and asked, on somewhat short notice, if she could do an engagement shoot for us as well. She was available, and we went to 2 different locations for photos. She has amazing talent, and her photos are absolutely beautiful. We were very pleased, and can't wait to see our wedding photos! She is creative and very open to any suggestions you may have. Trust me, your photos are not going to look like cookie-cutter posed shots. We loved working with her!

Talitha's photos truly speak for themselves- her work is absolutely stunning! We are so incredibly lucky to have had her be a part of our day. Weddings, even elopements, tend to be stressful events but she brings a calming presence that dissolves any worries or camera shyness. In my search for wedding photographers and vendors, Talitha brought such a refreshing quality in that she actually cares about her clients and takes the time to get to know them. It shows in her work and makes for a wonderful experience. I unfortunately do not live in New Mexico but would definitely travel again just for the opportunity to work with her again. Talitha is a wonderful photographer! We could not be happier with how the day went and our photos. We also did our engagement session with Talitha, we love our picture and used them for our invitations, save the dates, and to decorate around on the wedding. Talitha, her assistant, and the second photographer were all in sync. The had such great ideas and did a good job guiding the bridal party and us, the bride and groom. We had so much fun working with them. We also went on a small adventure to get some awesome day after photos in Abiquiu, I cant wait to see them. Talitha is not only an amazing photographer she help by reminding me of little things I might be forgetting, and went above and beyond when it came down to ideas and just everything. I would not recommend any other photographer in the world.

My husband and I will forever feel a bond with Talitha -- not only because she expertly captured timeless and treasured moments of our Taos wedding but because she is a sincere, serene and delightful person to know. Our wedding was at a fairly small venue so we especially admired how Talitha navigated the space. She has this amazing talent for knowing right where to be and how to "just magically" get there! She's so thoughtful and respectful about capturing the moments without breaking "the spell" of the day. She has an "eye" for capturing unique details, touching candid emotions and sweeping vistas. My mother-in-law passed last year. Talitha's photos of my husband dancing with his mom at our wedding are so touching. It's a moment frozen in time we cherish -- much gratitude, Talitha, for that gift! My husband and I spent a good part of the day after our wedding doing a photo session, just the two of us with Talitha. It was so fun to work with her on figuring out the when, where and how. She had so many great ideas for local spots we could explore. We really appreciated how at ease she made us feel and how adeptly she helped manage our time, ensuring we were able to get to all the locations we picked. Exactly as we'd hoped, we ended up on the mesa around the Rio Grande Gorge just outside of Taos as the sun was setting. Those are some of our favorite images -- Talitha captured all the untouched beauty, nature and spirit of that place that called to us from the start and endeared us to Taos forever.

She captures the emotions of the occasion, the beauty of the surroundings, makes you look great, and composes gorgeous photos. My husband and I had a very small wedding in Santa Fe with just our immediate family, so Talitha was very much a part of the celebration. Still, she managed to capture some moments when we didn't realize she was shooting, which made for some very cool photos. She is so creative and put our vision for a desert wedding on film. We really could not be happier with her work. Talitha is incredibly talented and one of the nicest people you're likely to meet.

Being a photographer myself, I went in with pretty high standards when it came to searching for a photographer for our wedding. Fortunately, it was a short search! We saw Talitha's photos and instantly knew she was the one for our big day. When the day finally came around, Talitha jumped right in and handled our families with grace and confidence. Her talents were tested even further when our officiant didn't show up, completely throwing off our schedule while the light continued to approach sunset. Talitha instantly took control of the mob (aka our families) and captured our amazing photographs on an improvised schedule, proving she is a true professional. And all of this on the side of a mountain in the setting sunlight in the middle of nowhere in the desert! We had a wonderful evening, in large part thanks to Talitha not only being an excellent photographer, but also a consummate professional that handled what would have otherwise been a completely stressful situation. Talitha took all the stress off of us and gave us beautiful images to look back on our big day, and we are so happy to have met her.

Let me preface by saying, I have not gotten my photos back yet. I have seen only one and my oh my is it GORGEOUS!!! Talitha was amazing! We had to change our date at the last minute and she was very understanding. She worked with us every step of the way. She came to our rehearsal to get a feel for what our wedding would be like. Day of she was on time and ready to go even when our scedule had gotten jumbeled as they often do the day of. My wedding was the first in the family and she and her assistant, Kira, helped me get into my dress. They had ideas and an attention to detail.Kira even turned a special bracelet to make sure it'd be seen in the photos. Talitha is a magical photographer. She managed to bring out the best in me and my husband. She even got my dad to settle down and take the pictures I wanted. No easy task, believe me. I would hire Talitha again in a second! One of the best decisions of my wedding planning journey!

Of all the things to think about when it came to my wedding, an amazing photographer was on my top priority. Talitha exceeded my expectations! She would get on the dirt ground just to get an amazing shot! I was completely pleased by her work and would recommend her to everyone! I have photos that I love to show off and will be proud of for the rest of my life! Thank you Talitha for everything!

Talitha is an amazing photographer. I've worked with her on several weddings (a lot of family and friends have used her services) and she's never disappointed. She has a great eye for photography and her candid and artistic photographs are always something to be admired. She is also very flexible and professional - not to mention patient. You will not be disappointed and I hope I can use her for many other events as me and my husband start our family!

5 starts for Talitha! She did an absolutely beautiful job with my engagement pictures and our wedding! She has such an artistic eye that she comes up with outstanding pictures and ideas that I could never have come up with on my own. Above all she is a great person who will instantly make you comfortable. You will end up with GREAT photos and a lifelong photographer; you will want to use her for any and all of your pictures.

I was fortunate enough to find Talitha on my own accord through Google. I found her because I wanted to take boudoir photos as a gift for my husband on our wedding day. I looked at her website, viewed her photos, and was blown away. I knew I wanted her right away. She is hands down one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She makes you feel so comfortable and honestly I felt so natural posing for her. She knew how to direct me and make me feel absolutely beautiful. Her pictures are so incredibly stunning and always seem to leave my speechless. I was also extremely lucky to get to shoot creative wedding photos with her. My husband and I loved working with her! (P.S. My husband does not really like to take a lot of pictures. Surprisingly, he loved taking them with Talitha because she did such an outstanding job!) The pictures she took of my husband and I are pictures that we are so very proud of. Talitha knew all the right angles for our pictures. She has the most creative eye for pictures that I have ever seen. Whether you need wedding, boudoir, family, or individual photos, you will be so thankful for choosing her. Talitha was so enthusiastic and friendly leading up to our New Mexico wedding. Since I was planning it from the East Coast I didn't ever get to meet her before our big day arrived, but she never let me down in terms of communicating often via email and phone. Leading up to our wedding, Talitha went over everything I was interested in getting done and on the day of she was the perfect blend of gently suggesting potential shots while never being pushy, demanding, or angry about me and my husband's general chaotic and easily distracted natures. She was wonderful with our family and friends, and while I have not yet seen the shots from our wedding I have every confidence that they are going to be wonderful. Did I mention that she didn't break the bank? When I started planning our wedding I was in grad school and was on a very tight budget, but I knew creative photography was something I had to have. So I searched... and searched... and searched some more... and nobody seemed like a good fit. They were either too expensive and unwilling to customize a package for us, or they were super cheesy/run-o-the-mill wedding photographers who hadn't updated their style since 1995. But not Talitha!! She helped me create a package that was within my budget and her blended style of photojournalism and artistic vision made me fall for her style instantly. I know from my search that there are not many photographers that are actually in NM that you can choose from. So if you want to support the locals, choose Talitha as your wedding photographer!
