al venue. What should have been a joyful and memorable occasion was instead marred by a string of unacceptable behaviors and poor management choices from this family-owned business. From the outset, communication with Melissa and Emily was difficult, inconsistent, and often unprofessional. Emails went unanswered, questions were met with defensiveness, and basic requests were routinely shut down with vague or arbitrary reasoning. Rather than feeling supported, we often felt like an inconvenience. One of the most troubling aspects was a pricing change after our contract was signed, with no connection to inflation or market rates. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch, and when we raised concerns, we were met with stonewalling—particularly from Emily. There was no willingness to engage in good faith conversation. On the day itself, the lack of professionalism extended to our guests, who were rudely treated. Multiple guests were yelled at for requesting water before the ceremony, and others were snapped at and told to be quiet and move during cocktail hour. This type of treatment is not only inhospitable—it’s downright disrespectful. The venue also restricted our florist and photographers, creating unnecessary stress and hindering their ability to do their jobs. After the ceremony, photographers were told they could no longer shoot, despite having access as part of our contracted agreement. To make matters worse, teardown began before our midnight end time, cutting the celebration short and violating the terms of our agreement. But perhaps most alarming of all was the venue’s complete disregard for documented food allergies. Guests with celiac disease were served gluten and then told to “just pick it off” or “don’t eat it.” This behavior isn’t just careless—it’s dangerous and offensive. Sadly, we have no positive feedback to share. What Tall Oaks lacks in charm, they make up for in restriction, rudeness, and a stunning lack of professionalism. We sincerely hope others can avoid the stress and disappointment we endured. This venue simply does not meet even the most basic standards of service.

ing, there were a few things that I would want to know if I was a bride looking for a venue. They only communicated via email so don't expect them to call you about any details regarding planning meetings, taste testing's, etc. I was kind of thrown around to a few different people there when planning, which was fine but I didn't feel like I had one person to reach out to. The day of was also fabulous, everything came together as I hoped it would. If you do not pay for the day of coordinator fee of $500 you will not have anyone to communicate with besides the service staff. The Sales & Event Manager came up to me once the whole night to tell me she was leaving because she didn't feel good. My family had a hard time finding the desserts or anyone to ask questions to besides the service staff which were frankly unsure about anything. Food was also great we had the filet and chicken piccata. The entire wedding party and our parents stayed at the inn attached, which was very convenient. However, fast forward a month later and we are getting emails from them asking for $100 biohazard payments with no detail or evidence. They did this to 3 of the rooms out of 13. When we called the Director of Guest Experience & Marketing, there was no reasoning for the charge and she said that if it wasn't paid then they would be charging us. We felt that it was extremely rude for them to be contacting us a month after the date to charge us for something ridiculous. Seems like a ploy to get more money out of us. Overall we had a great experience because we made it great, it sucks that they did this because it spoiled such a beautiful event.

so convenient & fun! The Carriage House is definitely one of the perks that made this venue stand out compared to the rest. Tall Oaks staff really made the day run so smooth by meeting with us consistently and always being available for questions during the planning process. I highly recommend booking your wedding here!
