egance. They truly thought of everything. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with both beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces that create the perfect atmosphere no matter the weather. There was always something for our guests to enjoy, from relaxing on the outdoor balconies and taking boat rides to mingling around the multiple indoor and outdoor bars. Every area offered a unique experience, keeping everyone entertained throughout the night.
The food was phenomenal from beginning to end. Cocktail hour was incredible, dinner was outstanding, and the late-night bites were the perfect finishing touch. Add in the cigar bar, gorgeous grand staircase, and elegant décor, and it felt like something straight out of a magazine.
One of the biggest advantages of Tall Oaks West is how much they offer in-house. From catering and décor to your own personal wedding coordinator, they can provide as much or as little as you want. They make it so easy to customize every detail, allowing your wedding to reflect your own unique style and vision.
As the mother of the bride, I expected to be answering questions on what was needed or fixing things that were not perfect. Instead, I was able to simply enjoy every single moment. If anything went wrong, I never knew about it because their team handled everything seamlessly. That kind of professionalism is priceless.
Days after the wedding, our family and friends are still talking about how breathtaking the venue was, how elegant every detail looked, how amazing the food was, and how much fun they had. We continue to receive compliments on what so many have called one of the best weddings they've ever attended.
Tall Oaks West didn't just host our wedding they created an unforgettable experience. They made our daughter's dream wedding come true, and it was absolutely perfect. nue and the incredible staff who made our wedding absolutely perfect. We had a Friday wedding and booked the inn for the wedding night. When we arrived at 7:00 a.m., all of the rooms were spotless and ready for us. Our family and wedding party were able to get settled right away, and everyone commented on how beautiful, clean, and well-maintained the inn was. The champagne room and upstairs area were perfect for getting ready, we had plenty of room for 10 girls! The morning was seamless, and everything went smoothly. As often happens on a wedding day, we fell a little behind schedule with photos. I was so sad that we were going to miss our cocktail hour, but without missing a beat, Melissa stepped in and said no problem, it’s your day, we’ll just extend it. She was so helpful with our florist, and her calmness and professionalism throughout the day (and leading up to the wedding!) was so comforting as a nervous bride. The food was phenomenal. Not only did we love it, but countless guests came up to tell us how delicious everything was. I honestly don’t know how it’s possible to perfectly cook that many filets, but their chef is amazing. The staff also handled the majority of our setup and teardown, allowing us to truly enjoy every moment with our family and friends instead of worrying about anything during the day, or at the end of the night. They also graciously accommodated my elaborate seating chart! A moment that really stood out to me happened the next morning while we were packing up our flowers. My husband was talking with one of the employees, who shared that he takes leftover flowers from weddings to the cemetery and places them on graves that don’t have any. I think this truly speaks volumes about the type of people Tall Oaks has on their team. We received endless compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly everything ran. If you’re looking for a venue with exceptional staff, incredible food, and a team that genuinely cares about making your wedding day special, I cannot recommend Tall Oaks East enough. We are so grateful that we chose them to celebrate one of the best days of our lives!

ng to break contract and tell you anything you want to hear to get you to sign. In our experience, they waited until 4 months out from our wedding date to not honor their signed contract. They disrespected my husband and me multiple times. A true disappointment. They doubled our food costs, tripled our appetizer cost, required us to pay an additional $1000 for an add-on option that became mandatory (breaking contract), took away 30 min of our contracted rental time in the final stages of planning, did not have the landscaping as promised, changed their policy in the final months and did not Grandfather anyone in, and had a notable employee turnover to include head chef and VP. The experience was all around sleezy, distasteful and predatory. I hate to post negative reviews but people need to know this.

ues, but we ultimately decided to look for a venue with the following qualities: spacious for 160 guests, formal yet customizable, conveniently located, and fully accommodating.
Selecting Tall Oaks seemed like a lavish, yet worthy choice, with a mystical late autumn date of Friday, November 7th. As the name suggests, the venue, while constructed entirely of fine wood- is also surrounded by a rolling landscape of trees. Our dreamscape was captured in glowy, dramatic evening shots with golden leaves in the background. Embering fireplaces made for cozy outdoor lounges while the acoustics of the live rock band echoed through the night.
Not a single detail was missed- between the eggplant and burgundy tulle draping down the staircase and the glow in the dark beach balls, our coordinator Melissa and culinary crew provided top tier service. I could not have expected such above and beyond, 5 star level, world class care to our special day!
The convenience of the onsite hotel made accommodations and transportation a breeze for everyone, including our oldest guests at 86 years old and our youngest guest at 3 weeks old.

They are so responsive and truly want to make your day special and everything that you want it to be. The food was amazing, they worked well with our other vendors and they went above and beyond to make sure that both myself and my husband were well taken care of. I’ve had multiple people tell me that this is a wedding they will remember for the rest of their lives. al venue. What should have been a joyful and memorable occasion was instead marred by a string of unacceptable behaviors and poor management choices from this family-owned business.
From the outset, communication with Melissa and Emily was difficult, inconsistent, and often unprofessional. Emails went unanswered, questions were met with defensiveness, and basic requests were routinely shut down with vague or arbitrary reasoning. Rather than feeling supported, we often felt like an inconvenience.
One of the most troubling aspects was a pricing change after our contract was signed, with no connection to inflation or market rates. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch, and when we raised concerns, we were met with stonewalling—particularly from Emily. There was no willingness to engage in good faith conversation.
On the day itself, the lack of professionalism extended to our guests, who were rudely treated. Multiple guests were yelled at for requesting water before the ceremony, and others were snapped at and told to be quiet and move during cocktail hour. This type of treatment is not only inhospitable—it’s downright disrespectful.
The venue also restricted our florist and photographers, creating unnecessary stress and hindering their ability to do their jobs. After the ceremony, photographers were told they could no longer shoot, despite having access as part of our contracted agreement.
To make matters worse, teardown began before our midnight end time, cutting the celebration short and violating the terms of our agreement.
But perhaps most alarming of all was the venue’s complete disregard for documented food allergies. Guests with celiac disease were served gluten and then told to “just pick it off” or “don’t eat it.” This behavior isn’t just careless—it’s dangerous and offensive.
Sadly, we have no positive feedback to share. What Tall Oaks lacks in charm, they make up for in restriction, rudeness, and a stunning lack of professionalism. We sincerely hope others can avoid the stress and disappointment we endured. This venue simply does not meet even the most basic standards of service.

ing, there were a few things that I would want to know if I was a bride looking for a venue. They only communicated via email so don't expect them to call you about any details regarding planning meetings, taste testing's, etc. I was kind of thrown around to a few different people there when planning, which was fine but I didn't feel like I had one person to reach out to. The day of was also fabulous, everything came together as I hoped it would. If you do not pay for the day of coordinator fee of $500 you will not have anyone to communicate with besides the service staff. The Sales & Event Manager came up to me once the whole night to tell me she was leaving because she didn't feel good. My family had a hard time finding the desserts or anyone to ask questions to besides the service staff which were frankly unsure about anything. Food was also great we had the filet and chicken piccata.
The entire wedding party and our parents stayed at the inn attached, which was very convenient. However, fast forward a month later and we are getting emails from them asking for $100 biohazard payments with no detail or evidence. They did this to 3 of the rooms out of 13. When we called the Director of Guest Experience & Marketing, there was no reasoning for the charge and she said that if it wasn't paid then they would be charging us. We felt that it was extremely rude for them to be contacting us a month after the date to charge us for something ridiculous. Seems like a ploy to get more money out of us.
Overall we had a great experience because we made it great, it sucks that they did this because it spoiled such a beautiful event.

so convenient & fun! The Carriage House is definitely one of the perks that made this venue stand out compared to the rest. Tall Oaks staff really made the day run so smooth by meeting with us consistently and always being available for questions during the planning process. I highly recommend booking your wedding here!
