Our wedding at Talta Lodge was amazing. From our first interactions with Sarah, we knew we were in good hands. The venue is wonderfully picturesque and perfect for hosting a wedding weekend on site. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our guests had a fantastic time. And the team coordinated smoothy with all of our vendors. We really couldn't have asked for a better location for our wedding!

n-site for all of our guests; beautiful and lush backyard for the welcome party (fire pits, yard games, pizza oven and Ben and Jerry's truck!), ceremony, reception, and pictures; and a rocking bar for the after party.
Sarah and the team at Talta are super kind, helpful, responsive, flexible, and fun. They have a deep knowledge of the venue and local vendors, which made our planning process and day of setup go smoothly. They are truly willing to go the extra mile to help you create your dream day. Our guests keep telling us how awesome all the Talta staff were.
We will be back to Talta often!

We live on the West Coast but knew we wanted to have our wedding in Vermont to be closer to friends and family. My fiance and I did a VT venue tour of recommended venues, and they were all lovely and fine, but none of them excited me the way that Talta did when I finally discovered it. If you are looking for a backyard wedding feel, with a beautiful river, indoor sauna/ pool, outdoor hot tub, and a place for all your friends and family to stay, then this is the spot for you.
We decided to rent out the lodge so that all of our guests could stay there. That means you have to pay for any rooms that don't get rented. But we had just over 150 guests, and all but one room was rented by our guests. We also had many people who preferred Airbnbs, which there are plenty of nearby.
Because we rented out the lodge, we got to have the after party at Talta, which was the best. It made for an easy transition; the bar was open, and the fires were roaring outside, so there was something for everyone!
I feel so grateful that we found Talta, the down-to-earth environemt was exactly the vibe I was looking for, and in my opinion, was hard to find. And now, we have a magical place to spend our anniversaries that will bring us back to the best weekend of our lives :)

My husband and I discovered Tälta after staying at another bluebird property in Saratoga. After getting engaged we decided to take a few days to look at venues throughout northern ...
VT. I recommended we book a room at Tälta (that "cool hotel we wanted to check out"), not realizing it would up being our venue. When we walked into the lobby we were immediately taken back by the comfortable atmosphere and gorgeous property. Before we could finish our check in process we found ourselves asking if they did weddings.
I can't emphasize enough just how much fun we had planning our wedding with the Tälta crew. Olivia, Sarah and Mike were communicative, creative, flexible, supportive and more. We ended up doing a property buy out so that we could have as many of our guests stay on the property as possible, which made the weekend all the more intimate, personal and just plain fun.
Olivia and Sarah also helped us set up an additional room block with their sister property, Cady Hill Lodge for guest overflow, and we planned our welcome drinks at their other sister property, Field Guide Lodge. It made coordination of logistics so much easier, giving us the head space to focus on some of the more fun details of the weekend!
We’ve had numerous people tell us that our wedding was the most fun and special wedding they’ve been to. Everyone loved being on the property - from the beautiful common spaces, to the amazing outdoor space, it was truly the perfect set up. Have your wedding at Tälta - the space is incredible, and the team you get to work with is even better!

the whole place to ourselves with our guests and it was so nice to have use of the pool, hot tub and lounges just for us. We were able to have our welcome party in the lower lounge and have our wedding out on the lawn by the river the next day and it was all absolutely perfect. Olivia and Sarah are a dream to work with—they were so communicative, accommodating and flexible throughout the whole process. They really went above and beyond to make us feel special and welcome. I can't say enough good things about our experience. They made us feel like family and celebrities at the same time! I would definitely recommend Talta as a venue to any couple looking for a friendly place to host a wedding in Stowe!
