I'm so happy you found Talwar Weddings & Events! I decided to pursue event planning full time after planning my own wedding and all the events surrounding it. I absolutely thrived getting to make spreadsheets, timelines, and creating other “type-A” forms of organization. Before pivoting into event planning, I had a career in International Development where I worked in the Project Management Office at a non-profit. Thankfully, I have found many of those skills apply in this new space and now consider myself the “project manager” of your events! I have been lucky to gain experience in the industry by assisting seasoned wedding planners in the area and by planning my friends’ weddings and birthdays. I have found such a passion in this career and find complete joy in working with all kinds of people to create their unique events! Favorite hobbies: Binging a great TV show with my husband; Going on walks with friends in Rock Creek Park; Reading fantasy books; Biking, swimming, hiking, or even just sitting in the park on a nice day Fun fact about me: I have lived in 13 different cities, largely because my parents were in the Navy. But I moved to Thailand for two years on my own while serving in the Peace Corps as an English Teacher!

. On the day of the wedding, everything flowed seamlessly and we were able to truly relax and enjoy every moment knowing they had everything under control. We had to deal with some forecasted rain and Ali monitored it all day so we could have our dream outdoor ceremony and get everyone inside before it came! Ali's upbeat personality and organization was paramount in making our wedding perfect. We seriously could not have done it without Ali!

understand and champion our vision of highlighting local vendors and incorporating personal elements. Her warmth, liveliness, organization, and humor made each interaction easy and planning seamless. She especially shone during the rehearsal and the wedding. She was professional the entire time and did her job with the perfect balance of seriousness and lightness. She was able to build connections with everyone (other vendors, guests, wedding party, etc.) and make everyone feel like we were on the same team. As promised, she took care of all the day-of details without needing a single reassurance or answer to a question. We trusted her, and she came through. Leading up to the event, Ali was tremendously helpful in handling coordination with vendors, and making solid recs on our schedule. Day of the event, Ali was wonderful; present, calm, and warm, yet also discreet enough to let us sit back and enjoy the day. e energy, outgoing personality, and clear knowledge of wedding planning instantly lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. I thought I could handle everything myself, but quickly realized how much I still needed help—and Ali was exactly who I needed. Even though she came on board so late in the game, Ali never missed a beat. She jumped right in as if she’d been there from the start and went above and beyond in every way. She even came to a rehearsal with my bridal party (not easy with kids (of the bridal party) running around!) and somehow kept everyone focused and organized.  I’ll admit I tend to take on too much, and the day before the wedding I was still trying to do things myself. Ali reassured me she’d handle whatever was needed, and the next morning I handed her a long list of last-minute tasks—she took care of every single one before guests even arrived. Ali was warm, professional, and so easy for everyone to connect with. My family, friends, and bridal party all had nothing but amazing things to say about her. Hiring her was hands down one of the best last-minute decisions I made, and I’d recommend her to any couple looking for someone who truly goes above and beyond. Thank you Ali!!

Leading up to the wedding, she checked in to make sure I stayed on track and I felt confident that anything Ali said she would do would get done. more prepared for the big day. She made a timeline for the event that was thorough and comprehensive, and we got compliments about it from our venue and other vendors. Ali helped us navigate last minute conversations with vendors and was an advocate for us and our vision. During the wedding, Ali was on top of every detail and was responsive and adaptable, and made small shifts that helped the night run smoothly. She facilitated our venue decor set up (it looked so amazing the restaurant kept the decorations up for their normal service hours the next day!), and handled any last minute decisions so we could relax and enjoy the celebration. Ali was instrumental to the success of our wedding, and we are so grateful for the competence, kindness, and professionalism she brought to coordination.
