We cannot say enough amazing things about Tammy!!! She truly is amazing and we would so highly recommend her to anyone looking for an incredibly talented, fun, and kind photographer to capture their most special moments. We worked with Tammy on both our engagement photos and wedding, and had the best time with her at both! She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, somehow captured the amazing small moments we didn't even realize she was photographing, and also gave incredible direction in terms of where and how to stand/sit/dance. Our engagement photos came out AMAZINGLY, we couldn't be happier with them. Likewise, our wedding just happened, and she has already sent us sneak peeks that we are IN LOVE with. We found Tammy after hours upon hours of searching for the right photographer—and she was absolutely it. I was struggling to find someone who created the aesthetic I wanted; natural, bright, with excellent composition and quality, and attention to soft tones and ethereal lighting. Tammy does this with immense talent and care. We started with an engagement shoot, which began in a deeply wooded area near a beautiful, crumbling stone staircase. I was worried about the lighting being tricky / dark, but Tammy was SO helpful and absolutely on top of it. She even tracked the sun in Google Earth (I think that's what she used) to time our shoot properly AND get us out to a river for beautiful golden hour shots! For our wedding, I couldn't rave enough. We were behind schedule with the makeup and hair, but Tammy was completely reassuring, and she shifted her shot schedule around to better suit the new timing, communicating with me the whole time about the plan. There were a number of shots I really wanted at the venue, and she made as many of them happen as possible; in particular, there was one 'bird's eye view' shot from a dark upstairs closet window down to the ballroom floor, which is usually only possible with two photographers, but she went out of her way to make it happen for us. They ended up being some of our top favorites from the shoot, and honestly, so many of our photos top the charts as my favorite photos of all time. She is upbeat and friendly, sensitive and considerate, and knows how to find just that right balance of guidance vs natural moment when working with a couple. I will be forever grateful to her for giving us the gift of her talent, time, and care. Thank you Tammy! You are the best!

When we called Tammy for the initial call, I felt like I had no idea what to ask her or what I wanted. Tammy gave us plenty of information in an easy to digest way during the call. Wrapping up the call, I knew that Tammy was exactly who I wanted to photograph our wedding! She is bubbly and friendly, yet professional. Leading up to the wedding, she was easy to communicate with and she helped us with a timeline for the day to capture what we wanted. During photos, she helped us feel relaxed in front of the camera and the photos came out amazing! Plus, she's so much fun on the dance floor! We would absolutely recommend Tammy!!

I have a husband that is so picture-shy, so when Tammy won him over, I knew she was the one to spend our day with us. Throughout the wedding planning process and up through the day of, she was there. Her love for her work and craft shines through!

I’m not even sure where to begin. Tammy is truly the best at what she does and having her as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning she goes above and beyond to make sure your day is captured beautifully. She was able to improvise when our timeline wasn’t on track and she turned the stressful moments into special moments. She is so professional, caring, down to earth, fun and makes you feel so beautiful. My husband is not the biggest fan of pictures and even him and his groomsman raved about how awesome Tammy made them feel during their pictures. The sneak peak pictures we received were absolutely stunning and I can’t recommend her enough. You will not regret hiring her and it will make your wedding day the best day ever!

My husband and I can’t say enough good things about Tammy and her work. Having been married and engaged throughout the peak of the pandemic, Tammy was so patient with us. She offered us advice, suggestions, and was extremely accommodating. After moving our wedding date 3 times, Tammy we decided to get married at our own home. She came over, walked me through each area of my home and assured me that things would be just as perfect. She is so down-to-earth and easy to talk to. 5 stars for Tammy!

I don’t even know where to start with Tammy! She did our engagement photos, photos of me for a gift to my husband, and our wedding. Every single session went amazing. Over the course of the shoots and planning, she became more than just our photographer to us. Tammy was fantastic to work with! She was so easy to talk to in our initial phone conversation and was very quick to respond with all the details we needed. Tammy did a fantastic job shooting my bridal portraits and the photos for our wedding. If you are looking for someone who is fun, bubbly, and talented, look no further! I am NOT a photogenic person, but she made me feel comfortable and posed me so that we were able to get many gorgeous shots. She was so empathetic when we had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID, and she responded quickly to our calls and emails. Tammy was the second photographer with Tim Waters Photography for our Prospect House wedding in February. We met her the day of the wedding and she was delightful to work with. Tammy was very friendly and down to earth. I love the photos that she captured and it was so helpful to have two photographers to help capture more angles on specific shots like the first look and the ceremony. Tammy shot our engagement photos and wedding day and we are absolutely thrilled with how the photos came out. 6 months later I still have family and friends raving about our AMAZING photos and our warm, bubbly, and professional photographer! Tammy was extremely organized - she had easy to use worksheets to help us think about what photos we wanted throughout the wedding day, and we had a helpful phone call leading up to the wedding day to discuss family dynamics, our visions for the day, and logistics. She captured all the photos we wanted expertly, and also captured so many other special candid moments. For example, our dinner service was right at sunset, so I had given up on the idea of getting that sunset kiss photo, but somehow the venue coordinator and Tammy managed to sneak us out for the shot!! Tammy fit right in to our day - she was present (she captured EVERYTHING!) but not obtrusive, enthusiastic but not overbearing, friendly yet completely in charge, and she facilitated everything extremely smoothly. Our whole family remarked how comfortable they felt with her throughout the entire day. I felt totally relaxed and confident in her abilities! I feel so lucky to have picked Tammy for our special day and could write a novel about how perfect she was. If I could write everything I wanted to about Tammy and her services, I’d be writing a novel. She made the time for us to meet at our wedding venue to do a walk through and made an effort to discuss specifics with our DJ and wedding coordinator. The day of our wedding, Tammy was an absolute Rockstar. She was professional, fun, nearly invisible at times to capture our special candid moments which is extremely important and was seamless through all of the transitions. Our professional family photos were organized and fast, they were done within 10 minutes so our guests and bridal party could go enjoy our happy hour. She had so many ideas for our portraits, in terms of locations, lighting, etc. and in that moment it didn’t both me a bit that we used our happy hour for pictures, cause they are some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. If this review isn’t enough, her pictures speak for themselves. Not just ours, but hundreds of pictures we scrolled through of other events she shot. They’re absolute perfection and well worth the wait. Our online gallery was delivered to us in the contracted time frame and I have not stopped looking at them since. There is nothing I can think of that I would have wanted more in a photographer than what Tammy provided. I am so lucky to have been able to capture some of the most beautiful moments in my husband and I’s life and I have Tammy to thank for that. We will be utilizing her services for all future events!

WOW! Where to begin? Photos were so important to us since these would be our memories to hold on to forever. We gave Tamara a chance when she did our engagement photos back in June 2018 and after that session, we knew she was the one that we wanted to shoot our wedding as well! Tammy is everything you could possible want in a photographer. She didn't shoot our wedding, but she has shot for us on two separate occasions for family photos (one in Austin and one in NYC) and has knocked it out of the park BOTH times. The first time we met Tammy, we instantly hit it off and felt extremely comfortable. Her energy is incredible and she has an incredible eye. She knows what works and will direct you if something isn't working - she makes you feel like your most beautiful self! Tammy photographed our engagement in front of the Texas state Capitol. She and my now-husband planned everything perfectly and I didn’t even see her capture the most perfect moments - in the rain, no less! Tammy did more than just photograph for us, she became part of the event. She was helpful, understanding, a joy to be with and talented. Tammy was honestly the best decision my husband and I made for our wedding (besides choosing each other lol). She was such a wonderful energy to have on the day, and her talent is incredible!! My family is still (more than 2 months later) talking about how comfortable she made us, and how clear it was that she knew what she was doing. My family aren’t really “picture people” and she was able to help them all relax, and make them laugh, and really just integrate herself nicely into the day while still being professional. My friends also all felt that! Basically every single person at my wedding has told me how lovely she was! She was clear and concise in our pre-wedding consultations, and upfront about pricing/schedule/everything. She was (and still is) prompt at responding to questions. And we still chat over Instagram pretty often! Our photos are incredible! As a plus-size woman, I get nervous being photographed sometimes because I’m worried the photographer will highlight something I’m self-conscious about, or will pose me in ways to “hide” my body. Tammy did none of that. She made me feel beautiful and posed us in flattering positions without hiding anything about who I am/what I look like. She caught every moment I wanted her to capture and every photo came out gorgeous. She has a really great eye and incredible editing skills!! My husband and I are trying to figure out when we can hire her again! We might make it an annual thing. That’s how much we loved her and her work! I HIGHLY recommend Tammy!! She was really the best, most calming, joyous presence we could have asked for!

Tamara Merri Photography was one of the best decisions I could have ever made for our wedding day! Tammy made every moment memorable, and not just because of the outstanding pictures. Every second of the day she made sure I was having fun, staying right on time(which she knew was a huge deal to me) and she was able to manage our families in such a fun, professional way. Leading up to the big day Tammy made sure to stay in contact the entire time, and answer any random crazy question I may have had. Not only was SHE amazing, her work was equally as amazing. They made this experience so fun, relaxed, and natural! My family was very hectic during our family portraits but Tammy was able to rally them together and get the most perfect pictures! Organizing a wedding has some obvious stresses of making sure that the staff you hire are competent and have the ability to make that perfect day, “perfect”. We absolutely LOVED working with Tammy! She did an amazing job working with our crazy schedules and we felt like she truly wanted to understand what was most important to us & then make it come to life. She made me feel so comfortable during my bridal session and then again on our wedding day which made it possible to capture all those little moments between my husband and I! Tammy did my engagement photos and I was beyond impressed by the outcome. I cannot recommend Tammy enough. I am so in love with the photos from my wedding, she really helped capture the joy and beauty of the day. I was honestly on the fence of hiring a professional at all… it’s 2019 and everyone has a nice camera in their pocket these days, right? WRONG. Seriously, the photos from even my most artistic friends were ~nice~ but Tammy really captured something deeper than that. Aside from being obviously talented, Tammy is great. She has a warm, inviting personality. She can make camera shy people open up. I had several unprompted guests say “your photographer was awesome/so much fun/etc.” which really added a lot to the day. Additionally, I loved that the package I selected came with an engagement session. Again, at the start, I hadn’t even considered getting engagement photos done at all. Now I have this huge collection of beautiful photos of me and my husband that I’ll cherish forever. Thank you, Tammy!

Tammy did my husbands and I’s engagement shoot and wedding.. She truly was a Gods send.. She was so easy to work with and was up for anything.. She actually listened to what we wanted and captured everything we asked for.... and more.. I never even noticed her at my wedding so I was a little worried, but then pictures came back and were more beautiful than I could have ever pictured them being.. She also understood that I was on a budget and make it supper easy in dealing with that.. The place that we got married was not the easiest place for pictures but she came prepared with all the equipment she needed to make it beautiful and captured those perfect shots.. Even after the sun went down.. Also, her website is super easy to navigate and I ordered a metal print that came out amazing!! We also ordered two big prints from her and the pixels look fantastic.. They showed up at our house extremely well packaged.. I will Highly recommend Tammy to anyone who is looking for high quality photography with some one who is beyond passionate about what she does..

Tamara was absolutely incredible! Looking back at all of the moments she captured so beautifully has been unbelievable. As a bride or groom, there is no way you'll be able to see all of the love & fun that happens on your special day, but having a great photographer like Tammy helps fill in all of those little gaps. One of my very favorite moments of the whole day was right at the end of the ceremony after my husband and I walked down the aisle--she took a picture of us then told us to have a few seconds alone; it was such a special 3 seconds that it brings tears to my eyes thinking about it! I have gotten so many compliments on my wedding photos--even from people I hardly know who saw them on my social media. She's just so much more than a vendor!
