Tamara’s The Cake Guru

Tamara’s were extremely flexible and worked with us the entire time. The food was fantastic and we rented our dessert set up from them and it turned out fantastic. I’m very excited that next year we can get our wedding cake for $10, no need to freeze it!! 😀

My guests LOVED the mini dessert table we had with 7 different desserts. Not everyone loves cake or the flavor you pick, so this was a great way to let people get what they want. It one word I would say- GO!

Beautiful cupcakes! We did the Lux-mini. They were the perfect size for guests to have 2-3. The decoration was exactly what we were expecting, and they were able to do a special request on the cutting cake.

Ever since I started going to Tamara's I knew I wanted them to do the cake for my wedding. Everyone was so helpful and gave us exactly what we had hoped for! We got 8 dozen cupcakes (and added one dozen less than a month before the wedding with no issue) and a small top cake for us to cut. Everything was absolutely delicious as always and the design of the top cake and cupcake tiers was gorgeous. Our guests loved the cupcakes, and my husband and I loved how our top cake turned out! I would recommend Tamara's to anyone that wants both delicious cake/cupcakes and someone to make their cake what you hoped for. They only thing that would make me happier is if all our guests didn't take the Lick the Bowl cupcakes and leave none for me! :)

Absolutely incredible! Had cupcakes for our recent wedding through them and it was amazing. They tasted incredible and looked even better (not sure how that is possible!). They were a hit with all the guests!

From start to finish, this was stress-free. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The cupcakes are so decadent, and the top cake was gorgeous! Everything was delivered and set up perfectly, on time. We are beyond satisfied with Tamara’s.

My husband and I went to a wedding tasting at their Oshkosh locations. While we were there we were able to sample several of their cupcake flavors and we decided to book them for our wedding. We were then able to pick from their never ending list of cupcake flavors to try at our own private tasting. We had 4 different flavored cupcakes and a small two tiered cake at our wedding. We had some many compliments on how amazing the cupcakes were at the wedding. The best part was that we got the Mini Lux cupcakes which allowed out guests (and ourselves) to try multiple different flavors. My husband and I shared one of each flavor at our wedding. I would highly recommend Tamara's. We will definitely be return customers!

Excellent cake, great people to work with. We received rave reviews at the wedding! We’re looking forward to our anniversary cake next year! So glad they offer gluten free options that don’t taste like people expect gluten free to taste.

Tamaras really caught my eye but the design and decor of the building. Then their cupcakes drew me and and for the first time I had a macaroon. I fell in love. I went for a cake testing and signed my contract. I wanted a place that had experience in elegant unique design cakes and Tamara's was it. So glad I booked with them

Tamara and her team certainly whip up some amazing desserts! I had the most delicious cupcakes, mini-cupcakes, and cookies displayed at my wedding on rustic wooden stumps; all of the bakery, stands, and names were delivered and set-up beautifully. Everything turned out better than expectations (and my expectations were high going in)!

We had a 3-tier wedding cake and a dozen gluten-free cupcakes. The wedding cake was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we asked for. Very tasty, too (3 flavors: white, blue velvet, and carrot cake)! They honored our sign-on pricing that we had agreed to around a year prior, which was much appreciated. Very pleased!

Incredible Service! All 250 cupcakes and our 2 tier cake were fantastic and tasted amazing!

Our cake turned out amazing. We had the someone pack us up a small box and put it off to the side, so we actually got to try all the flavors. And not only did it look amazing it tasted great too. We also had Tamaras make a small grooms cake that looked like a hobbit house as a surprise, and my husband was so excited about it. It was exactly what I asked for.

We had to plan the wedding from a distance, so communication is key. Unfortunately we didn't have the best experience with Tamara's customer service, but the wedding cake itself was great. They were able to make an all vegan cake and drop it off early so the florist could put flowers on it. If only they could get my name right..

I'd had cupcakes from the Cake Guru a few times before choosing them to make our cake so I knew what to expect in terms of quality and that expectation was met throughout the process. From the first tasting to the big day they were communicative but not pushy and so wonderful. We gave them a very vague idea of what we wanted the cake to look like and had no clue how it would turn out but were so pleased with the result. We received so many compliments on the cupcakes and on the cake. We'll definitely go to them first for our next big event.

We had Cake Guru cupcakes for our wedding with a top cake for the bride and groom. We were able to have five different cupcake flavors so there was an option for everyone. They were so delicious and big! Before the wedding we went to a cupcake tasting with my family at the Oshkosh shop and it was great! I highly recommend.

Best wedding cake/cupcakes ever!!! I was so happy when I saw our cupcakes and wedding cake on display at our reception. Everything looked beautiful and they tasted super yummy! All my guests kept telling me how great the cupcakes tasted and they were all very impressed with the size. During the planning stages of our wedding all the staff was very helpful with setting everything up. I would highly recommend The Cake Guru to anyone.

Their cakes and cupcakes are delicious, but they are difficult to deal with. I had to continually follow-up to be sure my contract and payments were received, my flavors were correct, my design would be as I wanted it, and the delivery details. In the end the the design cake design looked nice but had minor flaws, which is disappointing when you spend the time and money to have it exactly as you want. I would not recommend as a wedding cake vendor.

Tamara's cake guru provided an array of amazing desserts for my wedding (130 guests). We had 4 flavors of cheesecake and 4 flavors of cupcakes, plus a decorated cheesecake for a cake cutting ceremony. The guests were amazed at how good everything was. Tamara's crew setup everything and it all looked amazing.

I am so glad we went with Tamara's cupcakes! We originally wanted small cakes on each table, but we soon realized that was not going to be a cost efficient option. Tamara offered us cupcakes for the same price per person as a slice of wedding cake at other places (1"x1.5"). We went to go try out the cupcakes, and we were stunned. You are able to try 3 cupcake flavors, but the cupcakes are so big my husband and I were only able to make it through 2. Then, we were given a list of about 300 different flavors to pick from. Tamara definitely has any flavor you can dream up. I never actually got to meet Tamara, but here assistant was so helpful every single time we went it. We got exactly what we wanted, and our guests could not stop talking about how much they loved the cupcakes. I agree with a few other posts that Tamara does not always return e-mails immediately, but if I ever needed something done right away, I would just call and it would be taken care of within the hour so I did not find that to be a problem. The only thing to be aware of is that you need to return the cleaned cake/cupcake stands within a few days, but the store is closed on Mondays, which it when I would consider to be the best time to return supplies. This may not be an issue if you live nearby, but my husband and I lived pretty far away, so that was really the only trouble we ran into. The cupcakes and cake were totally worth everything we spent on them, and my guests couldn't get enough! We didn't have almost any to take home, because our guests all took extra home with them.

We got cupcakes and one small tier for our reception. They were willing to include gluten-free cupcakes, and all the favors were incredible! My biggest regret is that I didn't save myself my favorite flavor to eat later! The cake was beautiful and tasty. They provided us with labels for the cupcakes, which was good for the less adventurous. Guests asked me all night where we got the cupcakes.

Everyone at the wedding loved the cupcakes, and still raves about them. They are really amazing tasting. Most are stuffed with flavor on the inside. They are decorated cutely, taste amazing, and the value is great. I think they were $2.50/cupcake.

My mom told me about Tamara's after she tasted her cakes at a bridal show. I'm so glad she did! The cake was absolutely delicious, and we were able to have all three layers be different flavors. I was also able to work with Tamara and customize the design of my cake to exactly what I wanted and it turned out so beautifully! She was also very easy to work with, so when I changed my mind on designs I could email her, and she was always friendly and accommodating. Plus, it was very affordable!

We had cupcakes at our wedding and they were such a hit! Everyone was complementing us on how delicious everything was. Their customer service is impeccable and the price is very reasonable!

The cake guru came up when I did a search for "fun wedding cakes" in the area where I was getting married. The last thing I wanted was a prissy wedding cake, and Tamara helped us design a cake that was unique to our special day.

Tamara's Cakes was so easy to work with! My now husband and I had a tasting and could not believe all the flavors were were able to sample. I had individual pictures of what I wanted each layer to look like and Tamara was able to take each one and create a five-layer masterpiece! Our cake was the centerpiece of the wedding and more beautiful and delicious than we could have ever imagined. Very satified with everything and highly recommended!

We were able to get 3 different flavors, they were all so good. The cake is moist and there are many different flavors of cake and fillings to choose from. Delicious!!! We keep going back to sample cupcakes. YUM!

I highly recommend going through Tamara's for your wedding cake. We had a great experience from the open house tasting (tasting many, many flavors), to the actual tasting and design appointment. Tamara was able to use the ideas and pictures we had to create a beautiful cake, better than I could have asked for. The flavor was delicious and we received many compliments on it.

There are limited vendors in the area and if you're looking for something more modern, this is probably your best choice. However, it is difficult to schedule your consultation (need to call, they don't respond to email). Once booked they were still hard to reach to confirm details. Also, they were not accommodating when I requested an earlier delivery time than what they "usually" do. I wanted it there earlier to make sure the flowers were properly placed.. Since they wouldn't accommodate that, I didn't get to see the cake until our grand march and the flowers were not right. We made the best choice given the location of our wedding but if you go with this vendor be advised regarding the service.

The cake is delicious and the cupcakes are amazing. The list of cupcake flavors are endless - it was very hard to choose just 6 for our wedding! Everything is delicious and the price is just perfect. Tamara did an awesome job with our wedding cake and cupcakes - they were beautiful and yummy! Highly recommended - even just for a snack while in Oshkosh!

The cupcakes were amazing (5 flavours), everyone loved them, and they really decorated them perfectly! My husband also has food sensitivities, so they made a special cheesecake that was to die-for! We really appreciated that they went out of their way to accommodate us. We did not have a chance to meet with them prior to our wedding (we live in Canada), and therefore our request kind of fell off the map. They were not the best at responding to emails, but once the event got closer - they were on the ball.

The cupcakes and cake pops were amazing! My only regret was that I didn't get a chance to eat two because they went so fast. The variety of flavors were amazing and the display was so fun!

I loved our cake! The choices of flavors at the Cake Guru are just outstanding! I really liked that they do not charge extra for more intricate designs like minimal piping and simple flowers, fondant bows, etc. Our cake was one of the things the guests talked about the most! My grif was that the price was $3 per person, but that seems to be better than most. It was nice to receive 50% off the delivery fee by booking through the green bay wedding show.

We hired Tamara to create cupcakes for our wedding. She did a phenomenal job with the design and color matching! Not only were they beautiful to look at, but they were absolutely delicious! She allowed us to use a variety of flavors in order to satisfy our guests. Tamara and her staff were extremely professional, and she did a great job accommodating my food allergies. I highly recommend her! We received rave reviews from all of our guests.

We LOVED our cake that Tamara made for our wedding. We could not have been happier! I highly suggest anyone in the Fox Valley area or any other surrounding areas contact her!

Tamara was able to create a beautiful cake from my husband's drawing of what he wanted it to look like. She also had the perfect cake base (a wooden stump) that we didn't know if we could find). The cake was delicious and she was very accommodating!

Was hard to work with because she was so busy. Hopefully with her new location and extra staff this wont be a problem going forward because her cupcakes were delicious!

Tamara is a true artist! Our cake was stunning and exactly how we wanted it. And it was the best tasting cake I have ever had! The flavor was phenomenal and it was so moist! I never had to worry about the cake getting there, she was on top of everything and spoke directly to the resort manager. She was great to deal with and was very accommodating to our needs! Her pricing was the best we found for the amount of design, flavor and filling that you get. We were thrilled to have her cake on display!

I have gone to the same church with Tamara for quite a while and I know what amazing work she does, so I did not look into anyone else when choosing our cake designer. We went to a cake testing event she had and ended up booking that day with flavor ideas plus an awesome coupon (we got to pick from an envelope with a bunch of different coupons that she gave). My finance and I met with her and gave her a bunch of random ideas we both loved and she turned it into the most amazing cake I have ever seen (and not just because it was mine!). People could not say enough wonderful things about it. She is a little hard to get a hold of sometimes but she is so worth it.

The one thing that I heard most often after the wedding was how amazing the cupcakes were!! They turned out exactly how we wanted them and were delicious!! Tamara was amazing to work with and we really enjoyed that she let us put our own personality into it. The taste testing before picking our choices was awesome!I would get her cupcakes again for any other event that we have going on because of the excellent service and how delicious they were.

Tamara was so nice to work with and the cake was gorgeous! Tamara was able to make the fondant look like fabric on the cake with calla lilies made out of fondant too. Not only did it look great but it tasted great too. We had estimated 175 guests but only 150 RSVP'd. People loved the cake so much that we didn't have any left overs. She has so many great flavors that it was hard to choose.

The cake looked amazing! We were too busy having fun to actually sit down and eat it, but everyone that did said it was amazing. People were having extra helpings because it was so good. They had a ton of different flavors with fillings which was just delicious. The flavors we picked were chocolate chunk with caramel filling, raspberry swirl with rasperry filling, and champagne.

When we had our initial tasting, she was not prepared for us and didn't have anything ready. I knew her cakes were good so we still gave her a chance. We had very detailed cupcakes and lots of different flavors and I was a little concerned that it would all be perfect on our wedding day. On the big day her team was on time, set up efficiently and everything looked and tasted great. I would definitely go with her again, but beware it really is organized chaos.

Tamara makes beautiful and very tasty cakes! She was easy to work with, and you def. get what you pay for! I would go back to her again!

Our wedding cake was perfectly and deliciously done by Tamara to the delectation of all family and guests. Our party was made complete by Tamara's expertise in baking and decorating beautiful culinary confections. Our cake had 3 differently flavoured tiers and was so delicious and surprisingly affordable. Tamara belongs on the national stage with the talent and skill she brings to this craft. Do not be deterred by minor communication difficulties, she is a definite 5 star recommend!

We could not have been more pleased with how our wedding cake turned out. It was absolutely delicious, and the look of it was beyond anything we could have hoped for and more. We received so many compliments on it. What is great about Tamara is that when you go in for your meeting with her, she works with you to customize your cake, so that it is unique to each couple. If you are looking for a modern cake where the sky is the limit, this is definitely the place to go. We get to go back in a year to get a small cake for our 1 year anniversary and cannot wait : )

The cake was so moist and delicious. Tamara also made my shower cake which was nothing short of outstanding. I cannot wait to place my next cake order with her.
