Being in the industry, I've had the opportunity to work with many talented DJs, but no one has become family quite like Rich. From the moment I met him as a wedding planner, I knew he cared deeply about making a couple’s day the most memorable experience possible. So, when choosing a DJ for our Happily Ever After, it was a no-brainer to ask Rich to play at our happy hour. Since Rick and I were taking a non-traditional approach with our wedding day, I was thrilled that Rich agreed to help with our outside-the-box event. After all, he is known to go the extra mile for his couples. From our last-minute additions of introductions and dances to the unexpected rain, Rich did whatever it took to keep everyone dancing, even lugging speakers to the second floor of the pavilion when the party had to be moved due to the rain. When you hire Rich, you are hiring someone who is deeply passionate about his events and the couples he plays for. He’s talented, charismatic, and truly genuine. Rich and the Tampa event DJ group was absolutely incredible, 1,000 out of 10. The dance floor was packed all night and he catered to our Cuban/Greek/American audience perfectly. Couldn’t recommend this vendor enough!!

DJ Rich was absolutely amazing to work with!! From booking, to planning the details, up till day of my daughter’s sweet 16 he was so professional, accommodating and easy to work with. The day of event, he kept things in order and had eveyone on the dance floor when it came time to party! His set up was great! And his team members were very friendly! I highly recommend him!!

DJ Rich Kenny was the entertainment for our wedding and he was phenomenal!!! He I only gave him a couple of songs that were “must plays” and from there he created an amazing playlist. Everyone was up and dancing until the venue was turning the lights back up and setting up to close down. He was interactive and fun. I definitely would recommend his services to anyone looking for a DJ. The photo booth was exceptional too! Everyone loved grabbing some props and taking tons of pictures throughout the party.

Rich was an awesome DJ and emcee for our wedding in March of 2024! He was attentive to our requests and details, made sure the mics worked for the ceremony and speeches, and got all of our guests up and dancing the whole night! Everyone said our reception was such a blast. We got the package with extra light effects and a photo booth, and I am so glad we did! Rich and his photo booth attendant also took some extra photos and videos for us that they sent afterward. It was so fun to watch those and re-live the night. I’d hire Rich and his team for any event or party! Thank you so much, Rich!

Hire IMMEDIATELY! DJ Rich was phenomenal. We had him recently perform for our wedding and it went flawlessly. The music was bumping all night and every guest loved it. Hooked us up with the photobooth (which our guests loved), the marquee signs which were a great touch, and the "dancing on the clouds" & sparklers made for some even better moments and pictures. We had music from recent hip-hop, r&b, reggae, soca, even threw in some 90s stuff and the party never stopped. He absolutely killed it!! Would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ. Rich is kind and professional, and wants to ensure you and your guests have a great. Can't thank him enough.

We used DJ Fabian via Tampa Event Group for our wedding reception in January 2024. We cannot imagine our special day without their services!!! We decided to add music and dancing last minute about a month before our wedding took place. A family friend recommended Tampa Event Group so we contacted DJ Rich Kenny immediately. He linked us up with DJ Fabian and it turned out to be a perfect fit. Both DJ Rich and DJ Fabian listened attentively to our wants and needs by regularly communicating via phone calls, texts, and their website platform for planning. We had a mix of age ranges at our wedding and wanted to incorporate lots of genres while embedding our love for EDM music. DJ Rich made sure we were fully accommodated, DJ Fabian showed up extra early to get set up and check in, then the MC/assistant Mo helped keep the energy up all night long. I would highly recommend Tampa Event Groups, specifically DJ Fabian, to anyone wanting a "just right" feel for their music needs and overall guest enjoyment. Including their DJ services was truly a highlight of the whole reception and we are more than pleased with how awesome everything turned out. And by turned out, what we really mean is TURNED UP!!! 11/10 would recommend using this as music/entertainment for your wedding night!!!

We danced all night long on our wedding. I strongly suggest you hire Tampa Event group they will not disappoint. They had everyone on the dance floor and kept the party going. Two of my main priorities when planning a wedding were to have comfortable shoes and good music. When I got home, in my comfortable and broken in shoes, my feet were still a wreck. 😂 DJ Rich Kenny kept me on the dance floor so long that my skin fell off. I don’t know if there is a better endorsement than that. My husband and I are huge music buffs and Rich knew exactly how to balance our eclectic taste with crowd pleasers that kept the party going all night. We had the privilege of having DJ Rich Kenny provide the music and entertainment for our wedding, and what can we say? It was absolutely perfect - we couldn’t ask for a better DJ! A lot of our guests were older and there was a wide range of ages between everyone - we wanted a DJ who could carefully craft a great playlist that everybody would enjoy. He listened to us better than any other DJ we talked to and assured us he would keep the wedding fun, but not “trashy” at all - it was supposed to be elegant, like our whole theme for the wedding itself. DJ Rich Kenny more than delivered; he wasn’t one of those DJ’s that did excessive talking and ruined the mood, and the whole entire wedding and reception was flawless. He is such a nice, down-to-earth guy that you can relate to so well, and he absolutely is someone I would recommend time and time again. From the fog machines that made us look like we were dancing on clouds during our first dance, to the photobooth that added extra entertainment, to the music choices and overall awesome vibes the entire night, DJ Rich Kenny was amazing!!!!!!

HIRE DJ RICH KENNY! We had a dry wedding so the music was something we were semi worried about because we knew it’d have to be good to keep everyone dancing. DJ Rich Kenny accommodated to all levels of music, Latin music, old and new, made sure not to play the songs we really didn’t want and we had MULTIPLE people come up to us and say it was the best wedding they had been to in a while and that was thanks to Rich. DJ Rich Kenny and his team did our wedding this past December 23 and they did a phenomenal job! I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding so special! All the music played was perfect and our guests danced literally nonstop until the ceremony was over and then kept asking for more. I cannot recommend them enough, if you’re thinking of hiring them, don’t look any further and just DO IT! I also used them for the uplighting and the dance on the clouds and it made the night truly magical. Thank you again!

HIGHLY recommend hiring Rich for your next event. We hired him as the DJ for our wedding and he was incredible! As a vendor, Rich was helpful, easy to work with, and highly communicative. As a DJ, he made our party! The music was perfect and the lighting was beautiful. Rich was an incredible addition to our day! He was extremely responsive and helpful in the days leading up. He helped us finalize our planning and when an issue popped arose with our venue he was incredibly patient and reassuring that our event would not be jeopardized. We hired The Tampa event group to provide entertainment as well as to cater the food for our wedding and honestly it was the best decision ever. Dj Rich Kenny was so attentive through out the whole process and made sure to assist us in every need or desire we wanted. Her food was a hit , after the wedding everyone was asking me what restaurant.l catered. Eladia makes the best pernil. If I was to go through the whole process again I would choose Tampa event group all over because they made my wedding planning process so easy and stress free and recommended me only the best for my day.

Dj Rich Kenny was the absolute best! We couldn’t have asked for a better night. He was super helpful through the whole planning process and up to the night of. We are very easy going people and told Dj Rich Kenny that we just wanted him to do what he does best and keep the party going. He did exactly that! All night people were dancing up to the last song. Richard Mercado (DJ Rich) came as a high recommendation from our wedding planner to be the DJ for our wedding. He not only lived up to expectations - but far exceeded every single one. Simply put, Rich was the absolute best. My husband and I put a lot of value on the music at our wedding, to us it was of the utmost importance to set the tone and the vibe of the different aspects of the day. Rich was highly collaborative, having multiple calls with us to iron out the details, brainstorm, and really took the time to learn what we were looking for and determine how he could bring that to life. Rich also leaned into every (even seemingly crazy) idea we had and brought his own wonderful ideas to the table as well. He is CLEARLY an expert in his craft and loves what he does. During our wedding day everything went flawlessly. The sound during the ceremony was crystal clear - all of our guests could hear us easily. The speeches went perfectly as well, and not one technical error happened throughout the entire day/evening. In terms of the actual music, there was not a single time when our guests weren't head bobbing, grooving, or even shazaming a song because they loved the music so much. When it came time for the reception, words cannot describe how Rich just absolutely lit the dance floor on fire. Everyone was up and dancing their hearts out. His mixes and renditions of songs were unparalleled to anything I've heard before, much less at a wedding. If you are looking for more than just good music and you want the entire experience of your big day to be amazing (because who doesn’t want that) then I would hire these guys! Professional, punctual and incredibly fun to work with! Rich has a great personality and made the entire night so much fun. He was spot on with all the timing from ceremony music cues, grand entrance and every announcement. Played great music and was able to read the crowd well! Nobody stayed in their seats and we partied all night! I would hire them again without hesitation! Thank you Rich for such an amazing night!

DJ Rich was the most perfect fit for our wedding day. There wasn’t a guest at our wedding that didn’t compliment him. From the music, to the dancing in the clouds, cold sparks, the vibes, his assistants, it made our night amazing. He was also so good at helping us lead the crowd through each part of our wedding day. As picky as I am with music, I needed the best DJ that can host a beach wedding ceremony and reception. I spent hours searching the entire Tampa, Miami, and Orlando area and the one that really stood out was DJ Rich Kenny. Once you book him, you can log in his website where you can choose your template that fit your occasion, from wedding ceremonies to any celebrations. You can enter “most have songs” or types of music genres that you prefer. Also, you can request to play or stop a certain song at a specific second. Once we submitted the form online, he set up a call to get to know us. He spent time with me and my wife on the phone about the ceremony timeline and addressed any concerns. DJ Rich Kenny’s music equipment is superb. He was able to host our wedding ceremony right in front of the ocean water, where there are no electrical outlets nearby. His console and speakers were battery operated and it handled our ceremony with perfection. The music sounded clear from beginning to end and the timing was perfect. He knew what he was running into and he handled it like a pro. We had ordered ‘LOVE’ letters to be displayed at our reception and the vendor had some electrical issues and couldn’t get them to lit up. DJ rich quickly came to the rescue and brought out lights from his pen equipment and shone them to the letters and they were a hit. I loved how he was quick to think on the spot and helped us out. During the reception he played the right music while everyone was enjoying their dinner. His music really had everyone eager to hit the floor. He sure knows how to read the crowd and keep them dancing. DJ Rich Kenny is hands down THE BEST DJ in the state of Florida. If you are looking for someone to light up the party and mix it well, search no more. He gets booked quickly, so make sure to do it immediately.

Working with the crew was phenomenal. They made sure they were available throughout the whole process of gathering music, answering all my questions and guiding me through music selection and timelines throughout the year. Rich is the best!!! We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID so I had him booked for a long long time. Rich jumped on the phone with me & made me feel so comfortable. We are so grateful for DJ Rich Kenny and Tampa Event DJs for making our brunch wedding the best day of our lives!! The party started at noon and people were on the dance floor non-stop! We were concerned about it being a daytime wedding and still wanted a huge party but he worked with us to personalize our playlist and understand what our guests wanted and incorporate multiple genres throughout the event! He was very organized, responsive, and prompt!

We hired Rich as our DJ and MC and Eladia catered and decorated for us. We threw our son a college send off and Eladia provided all the decor, cake and food. She walked me through every step and offered her expert advice when I had a hard time deciding on things. She guided me, worked within my budget and was supportive and responsive! Plus food was excellent! Rich was amazing! He asked what our son’s favorite music was and had our guests dancing and enjoying the party. Rich is super professional and yet very personable. Rich was wonderful in helping us plan everything involving music and technology for our big day. He kept every promise, and made our day very special! We are an Arab-American blended family, and even though he is not from our culture, he was able to put together both types of music so flawlessly! The only thing I would not recommend is the photobooth, as it was not the best quality, but he was an amazing DJ!

Fantastic people, amazing service with an “anything is possible” mentality. Our wedding had a couple different complexities to it, but Rich broke them down and made it like a walk in the park. There were three completely different cultures, but he was able to get everyone off of their feet and on to the dance floor to have an amazing time. Would use DJ Rich again. He was on time and great with communication. We used him for a small middle school graduation party, the music was appropriate for that age group! He also had lights and a cordless mic!

RICH!! WOW!! We had the party of a life time! From the beginning Rich and his team were nothing but helpful and open to suggestion. We attended a wedding weeks before our own where Rich was also the DJ at. We are so lucky to not only know him as the bride and groom but as a guest as well. Rich tailors his set to your liking, and he executes them perfectly. We had a blend of Jazz, Arabic, and heavy EDM music, knowing this is an odd blend We had our work cut out for us finding a DJ. All of his start times / ques were spot on! He connected with the party and got everyone up and moving! From the great grand parents to the grandkids EVERYONE was moving their feet. His transitions were seamless and his energy matched! Tell him what you want and he can make your vision come true! No b*llsh*t , this is where you want to invest in you and your guests entertainment! All of our guests were blown away by how much fun they had.

We used Tampa Event DJs for the 8th grade dance at our public middle school. Fabian arrived on time and set up a great area including lights and speakers that were the perfect size for our area. He kept the kids dancing for 3 hours straight with his high energy, great song choices and skill at reading the crowd. I cannot recommend this vendor enough, we will certainly be calling them for our next event. Thank you Fabian!!
