We could go on all day about how amazing Tan Weddings & Events is! I truly mean it when I say our wedding would not have happened without them. After the COVID19 pandemic, we were forced to cancel our big wedding but still wanted to get married on our original date. After attending the most beautiful backyard microwedding planned and designed by Jennifer and Rick, I decided to reach out to them for help planning my own. Tan Weddings & Events re-planned my entire wedding in less than 4 weeks. Jennifer and Rick coordinated all of the details seamlessly and kept me stress free trying to navigate how to safely hold a microwedding while still having the elements of my original wedding that were important to me. They are so responsive and great communicators, they answered questions before I even asked them. The wedding day was absolutely perfect, they have such amazing attention to detail. In addition to planning my wedding, they also provide officiant services and calligraphy , Rick was extremely well spoken and kind during our ceremony and our seating chart that he made was stunning. My wedding turned out better than I ever could have dreamed of and it is all thanks to them! I absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding planner whether it be an elopement, microwedding or large event, Tan Weddings & Events is so professional and amazing to work with!

This company was wonderful. Mikaela was a pro at coordinating all the vendors and made my wedding flow smoothly. She even got out a shout pen to help with a spot on my dress! Her whole team was exceptional!

We hired the TWE team for day of coordination and officiating services. From the moment we contacted them, they were professional, informational, and responsive. I cannot day enough kind things about Jennifer and her team. First, Jennifer would always respond to any questions I had in a reasonable amount of time. She cares about her work and truly cares about her couples and wants to make sure they have an amazing day. The months, weeks, and days leading up to our wedding we had a lot of communication. One thing I really enjoyed was the phone details conversation we had. We talked about details but Jennifer also gave us some sound advice about relaxation and taking time for ourselves. It was so kind and personal and something I’ll always remember. Second, their team is diligent and helpful. On the day of, Amy, was with me and helped to guide through the timeline of getting to the ceremony. She was kind, made sure I had everything I needed, and also did some guest wrangling when we needed them out of the bungalow we were getting ready in. She snapped some candids and were a great way for us to remember the day until we got our professional pictures back. Finally, they made the day of so painless and we didn’t worry about a thing. Have DIY decor? They set it up. Cards and gifts? They load it in to the person of your choice vehicle for safe keeping and transport. Don’t want to worry about cleaning up at the end of the night? They take care of packing everything up and sending you home with any of your left over food/dessert. Because of the TWE team, our wedding was relaxing and enjoyable. We didn’t worry about a thing and were allowed to be caught up in the moment and enjoy our love and celebration with friends and family.

Reverend Rick Tan was an amazing officiant! They also have a great website that lets you completely design your ceremony (with lots of templates so you know where to start)!

When my husband(!) and I were trying to decide what we wanted out of a wedding ceremony, we knew we wanted an adventure. After 10 years together, we wanted our ceremony to be a celebration of our love and dedication. A big wedding with hundreds of people didn’t seem right-it wasn’t intimate enough. We looked at so many venues in our state (Georgia) but nothing felt right. We’ve always had a theme word: juxtaposition. This led to looking for how we could juxtapose this traditional, formal event in a natural, awe-inspiring location. That’s when it clicked-the Redwoods. We started doing research and came across many individual vendors that offered elopement services in different Redwoods locations, but Tan Wedding & Events was the only one that we found that offered everything we wanted. We checked out their social media and knew we needed to at least speak with TWE. Once we contacted them and began working with Jennifer Tan, everything fell right into place. The two options we looked at included photography (we chose Nicole Sepulveda-Smith at XSiGHT), hair and makeup ( I chose Jen Haupt at IMakeBeautiful), florals (Jennifer Tan of TWE), and they were the sweetest, most encouraging and supportive team. TWE worked with us on payment, allowing us to pay incrementally. Jennifer helped us refine our ceremony vision through our personal communications and with the incredible helpful Aisleplanner account made available to us. She put together a step by step checklist, a thorough timeline, booked and connected all the vendors (we later learned that all of the vendors are great friends and have each been a part of each other’s weddings). We had access to WedWordy through TWE to help us write our ceremony script and vows to each if we wanted. She made sure we understood all local procedures and checked in frequently to confirm that flights and lodging had been booked. The hardest part of my whole ceremony planning process was choosing a style/look for my bouquet. Luckily, Jennifer is a floral designer (among her many other talents!) and could see what I really wanted from the 2 different styles I kept showing her. The morning of our wedding, she texted me a picture-she had gone out early that morning to find magnolia leaves for my bouquet. She found and cut them herself all because I mentioned loving the idea of having something southern in my bouquet. Jennifer went out of her way to make my bouquet incredibly special to me. TWE took so much of the stress off us so that we could truly the planning process and enjoy our “perfectly us” day and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. Thank you, TWE, for making this magical dream a beautiful memory for us to share.

They were so easy to work with. Jose Flores was our officiant and we liked him a lot! He did a bilingual ceremony for us and it turned out great.

Rev. Rick Tan was the officiant at our intimate destination wedding. Leading up to the wedding, Rick was very easy to communicate with and we were able to go through a few versions of our vows before coming to a polished version without any problems. Although we had not met Rick prior to the ceremony, it was as though we had known him for years. Our family members even mentioned how connected they felt with Rick and the way he spoke. He definitely added something special to our intimate wedding. We are so grateful to have had Rick as our officiant and would recommend him to any bride and groom.

Rev. Jennifer Tan was great, and the process for deciding the ceremony wording was easy and very personal - I loved how open they were for changes/adjustments to the wording, and the day of Rev. Jennifer was great and kept us both in the loop on the process.

We had Jennifer Tan officiate at our wedding, and she was absolutely wonderful! She helped us put together a special ceremony, and the process was very easy. Jennifer is very experienced, and yet not at all jaded. She’s genuinely warm and enthusiastic, and helped make our ceremony a truly joyous occasion. Even though we didn’t have her attend our rehearsal, everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding — she helped us work out all the logistics in advance and gave us very clear direction. During our vows, the wind picked up the bride’s veil and nearly blew it away, if not for the quick hands of the best man — and Jennifer handled the incident like a pro, making it both humorous and memorable.

It is with joy that I have the opportunity to write this review. We eloped just over a week ago and we are still in awe of what a wonderful, magical day we had. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Jennifer making our elopement, the perfect elopement. Jennifer was amazing from the very start. She listened to every request and question and gave us good options and answers at every turn. Even something “simple and special” can still be stressful because no matter how small, there are details that matter a lot. She will help you get through it all with a sense of calm and comfort. She has a genuine passion for what she does and it shows. You’ll love her energy and enthusiasm. As others have commented, she’s professional and a pure pleasure to work with. We simply could not give a higher recommendation. We absolutely adored working with her.

It's hard to express fully my appreciation for Tan Weddings & Events. For about a year I worked closely with Jennifer Tan as she helped coordinate our wedding day. From the day I contacted her she was always quick to respond to my emails, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The part that is hardest to express is how much she seemed to actually care about us and our wedding. Before finding her, I booked a wedding venue that ended up falling through just a few months before the wedding. Jennifer was my hero, She stepped in and worked with me to find a new and AMAZING wedding venue. And she handled everything, all while we were traveling out of the country. She also suggested and coordinated all of the fantastic vendors that participated in our wedding. Because of her, everything was so easy and stress free during the wedding planning process and the day of the wedding. Anything I dreamt up for my wedding she made possible, such as designing centerpieces and a beautiful handcrafted bouquet. I truly can't say enough about her. Additionally, Jennifer and her husband, Rick Tan, are amazingly talented. They added some unique handmade elements to our wedding like signage, centerpieces, corn-hole games, invitations, and so much more. Jennifer and her intern worked throughout the wedding day and handled absolutely everything; prep, decor, etc. Jennifer also officiated our ceremony and played live music! The ceremony was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Numerous guests told me after the event that "this was the best wedding they had ever been to" and that is all because of the hard work of Jennifer and Tan Weddings & Events.

My husband and I are so grateful and feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to work with Reverend Jennifer Tan for our elopement in California. We live in Chicago and have never traveled to Northern California before so as you can imagine, it was intimidating to plan such an important event with very little knowledge on how to do so from afar! After hours and hours of sitting on Google trying to look up "California Elopements" , I finally stumbled across Reverend Tan's webpage. After just a few simple email exchanges, I knew she was the one who would make our elopement that much more special. Jennifer put every bit of effort into making me feel confident and comfortable with my decision on vendors and location for our elopement, before we ever even signed a contract or made a payment. She was thorough, quick to respond, humble, kind, attentive-I seriously could go on forever about nothing but amazing things to say about her. I wish I could get married over and over again just so I can continue to use the Tan's services. This was bar none the best service experience I have ever had and I would recommend and highly encourage anyone getting married in the area to use Reverend Tan's services. You will be making the best wedding planning decision EVER.

we recently employed the services of rev tan to be the officiant and play the harp for our wedding which was in November 16th at the bently reserve in downtown San Francisco ca. rev tan was great. he is very friendly and professional. he is a pleasure to work with. rev tan also learned how to play some songs we wanted for our wedding party during the procession. we would highly recommend rev tan.

Rev Rick Tan was all that we wanted and more. Everything about him was kind and sincere. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and easy to work with making us feel very comfortable through the entire process. He helped us with the words for the ceremony without controlling the situation, so in the end it was polished but exactly what we wanted at the same time. He played the harp immediately before and after the ceremony which made it magical for us, even learning a special song for when I walked down the aisle. His harp playing is gorgeous and is a special touch to a wedding that is hard to put a price on. And by the way, his prices are very reasonable. Everyone at the wedding thought the ceremony was beautiful, and we cannot think of anything we would have changed; it was absolutely perfect thanks to Rev Tan.

I hired Rev. Jennifer Tan for my wedding this past October in Kenwood. She did an amazing job. She was so well spoken and really spoke from the heart. She had most of our guests in tears! She was so easy to work with from the beginning as well. She made it clear from the start that she wanted to create a ceremony that represented us and who we are. She answered all my questions in a timely manner as well. She walked me right through the whole marriage license and I was able to get an official copy within 2 weeks. I would recommend Rev. My husband and I are very pleased with rev Rick Tan. He was the officiant for our wedding. He was very easy to work with and very helpful working with us develop our ceremony wording. His speaking voice is beautiful and projects well. Plus he knew how to make moments special for just us. After our ceremony he played the harp. Watching him play shows his passion for music. We had him play his own music selection which was amazing. He plays beautiful and flawless. All of our guest were amazed and mesmorized by his talent. We highly recommend booking him.

Jennifer Tan did a great job as our officiant. She explained thoroughly how everything would go and took care of turning in our marriage license. She also gave us many ideas to use during our ceremony.
