h and shared our excitement. She also was already familiar with many of the vendors we chose and had the great recommendation of Los Cocos for catering, and the food was amazing. Tanganyika handled the bartending and had all the essentials covered, while making it easy to add some specific requests.
Loved that chance to incorporate the animals into our wedding reception! The guests loved it!

d. Having the penguin in our wedding was a huge hit! It is nice knowing that the money I spent for my ceremony went to a good cause to help their animals, instead of to pay for a building. We got to take pictures with the animals and in front of the beautiful scenery and the pictures turned out GREAT.
Wow. That's truly all I can say about Courtney and the staff at Tanganyika. I was a nervous/stressed out mess prior to the wedding, Courtney was there for me throughout the entire ...
process, she gave me her personal phone to contact her any time with any questions or concerns and walked us through the days timeline multiple times just to calm my nerves. Our day was perfect, the weather was gorgeous and our guests LOVED getting to go to the park in between the ceremony and reception. Thank you so much for everything Courtney, I could not have ever imagined a more beautiful wedding day.
If you identify as an offbeat or non traditional bride and want to have your guests raving about your wedding Tanganyika is the way to go. I had the pleasure of working with both H...
olly and Courtney and both event coordinators were so kind and helpful they felt like my best friends. The communication throughout the entire planning process was impeccable and I really appreciated that Courtney paid attention to every specific detail I gave her. We had both our ceremony and reception here and it invaluable to have a ton of parking and not have to move my grandparents far. The park itself is gorgeous and the photo opportunities we had were incredible. Although we were first a little shell shocked by the venue cost we were able to make it work in our budget because you simply don't need a ton of decor in to dress up the Manyara Garden or Serenghetti room. Our guests loved the animal ambassadors and I know we will hear about the fun memories for years to come. Everyone on the Tanganyika staff is great and I had the perfect day because of their hard work.
After a search for wedding venues in Wichita popped up Tanganyika Wildlife Park, my fiance and I had to check it out. Not only was Melissa (park event coordinator) friendly and res...
ponsive, she even helped me plan our big day from 1600 miles away.
We were able to have a penguin walk down the aisle (surprise to my mother and our guests) and had a fabulous interactive experience with the animals both before and after the ceremony.
Being escorted around the Park in the planning stages and during the wedding was as if we were royalty. Our concerns were answered and we were allowed to make the garden and the Seronera Room our purple paradise.
Melissa and her coworkers worked alongside my family to help create a fabulous day at an amazing venue.
While the wedding was initially to be outdoors, the weather was inclement. The wedding coordinator helped us move the wedding inside in a pinch and helped decorate the reception ha...
ll to accomodate. It was stunning! Thank you Melissa, you are a genius!!!
We had our wedding at Tanganyika and it was absolutely beautiful! Melissa, the event coordinator, was extremely helpful. She even fixed a minor issue with my bouquet on the fly!

The only setback was that there were some issues with the electrical outlets in the gardens, but Melissa and her team managed to resolve the problem before the ceremony began.
One of my favorite parts about having our wedding at Tanganyika was that the funds from events go toward their wildlife conservation efforts. I was glad to be able to support a good cause AND get married at a wonderful venue!
I would definitely recommend Tanganyika Wildlife Park to a friend!
I had some sticker shock at first, but was put at ease when my mother-in-law offered to split the cost. Post-wedding, I'm so glad I did!!! Although it was a very hot outdoor cerem...
ony, it was beautiful and you could see giraffes behind the pergola. The reception room is huge and tastefully colored (not tacky burgundy or forest like some other places in the area). My guests loved going out to the patio after the sun went down and they watched the tiger from the tables while enjoying a beer! Our pictures are simply fantastic and our guests loved it. I'm so glad I chose Tanganyika!!
I used Tanganyika for my reception only, not the ceremony. Melissa, who is the event cordinator, is amazing! She is such a big help and she is so sweet, having her there to help is...
worth the money alone, not to mention the space, and how beautiful the park is. No where else can the bride and groom hold a penguin and feed lemurs by hand in their wedding pictures. It's fun and the park is gorgeous!
Tanganyika was a beautiful venue, not the most organized, but beautiful. Very helpful
