Tang’s is an award winning bridal boutique and alterations shop located in Manassas, VA. Tang's team of specialists aim to provide a shopping and alteration experience as memorable as your wedding day.
Tang’s Bridal is owned by Xiao-Yin Byrom (Tang), an experienced fashion professional. She boasts over three decades of experience in the industry and is skilled at sewing, styling, consulting, and more. Since establishing her boutique, she has curated a team of wedding and tailoring specialists to ensure unparalleled service for each client.
As an exclusive carrier Maggie Sottero, Tang’s Bridal offers a unique shopping experience. Tang's carries gowns from all three of Maggie's collections: Rebecca Ingram, Maggie Sottero, and Sottero & Midgley. In July of 2021, Tang's opened an exclusive studio that is open by appointment only. During their time at the studio, brides will have the opportunity to work with a stylist and try on 6-8 gowns that vary in silhouette. Brides are encouraged to come ready to have a fun time!
After you’ve said yes to the dress, you can avail of alterations to ensure it fits you like a glove. Tang's primary location, being 8675 Sudley Road, is the destination for all alterations needs. Bridal Gown alterations are by appointment only, we welcome all brides regardless of where they purchased their dress. As for the wedding party we are happy to provide alterations services for bridesmaids, groomsmen, Mother and Father of the Bride/Groom, Flower Girls, and beyond. No appointment is needed for these garments - just make sure that you bring your shoes with you!

I wanted to cover up some cleavage with lace appliques and line my the bodice of my dress. Tang didn't just do as I asked, but went above and beyond to explain why lining the dress wouldn't yield the result I was looking for and proposed the option of adding more lace to the back instead which was more beautiful that I could have imagined. The alterations to the dress are unnoticeable and look as if it was designed that way to begin with.
She also added a bustle to the back which was the most natural bustle I've ever seen on a dress. She even went so far as to record herself bustling it which was SO helpful with simple instructions on how to do it for my Mom who couldn't make it to the appointment. I was told Tang was the best in the business in the region and after my experience I totally agree.

The appointment was less than 15 minutes long, they knew what to do immediately from the questions they needed answered to the altering process. I was seen and heard throughout the entire process. They also took the time to add a protective layer to a portion of my dress so that it wouldn’t snag during the getting ready process on my wedding day. My dress only needed a hem and to take in the shoulders a bit, so it wasn't major alterations, but the team at tangs did it so quickly! They also added my bustle and were able to line it up with the lace on my gown so you couldn't notice it was even there!
When I went to pick up my dress, they took a detailed video on how to bustle the dress so I could show my mom who was unable to make the appointment. They also had creative saying to help you remember how to do certain things in your dress that made it easy to remember with all the craziness of the big day.

Additionally, she showed me how to properly move in the dress AND made a bustle that defied the laws of physics. See the length of the train in the photo, she made it all magical fold on top of each other so I was easily able to dance (see second picture).
