Tang's has a team of highly professional employees. They make scheduling easy, even pleasant. Tang is very funny, kind, and highly knowledgeable. I had a lace dress and was nervous...
this would cost me much more than other alterations. I think I got a fair price to tailor that wasn't budget breaking, and my alterations were intelligently done. A specific example is that I thought I had to shorten my straps, when in fact, I needed to adjust the bust and this would help the dress sit on my frame properly. Thanks to Tang's for helping me look beautiful on my wedding day.
My experience at this bridal salon was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The appointment felt so intimate and personal, and the entire team made me feel truly special throug...
hout the process. They were incredibly attentive to everything I was looking for, both when helping me choose my dress and during the tailoring process. Every question, concern, and detail I mentioned was listened to with so much care and patience.
What meant the most to me was how comfortable and celebrated they made me feel during such an important moment in my life. They truly helped bring my vision to life, and when I finally put on my dress, I genuinely felt like a princess.
I am beyond grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this salon to any bride looking for a beautiful and unforgettable experience.

/what I wanted and supported me along the way. It was so easy to work with them. I got a great deal on my dress and it didn't need a ton of alterations, they were honest in what needed to be done to tweak what was actually needed/necessary. Everyone there is so friendly as well. If anyone is looking for their wedding dress in Northern Virginia Tang's is your must go to destination! I love their top notch tailoring as well, a huge reason why I also looked into/ended up working with them.
Tang’s Bridal Alterations deserves every bit of a 5-star review for their unmatched craftsmanship and professionalism! Entrusting my couture wedding gown to Tang (Owner and Preside...
nt) was one of the best decisions of my entire planning process!! From the moment I met Tang, I felt at peace. Her calm confidence, deep expertise, and reverence for couture fabric made me instantly trust that my dress was in the best possible hands. She understands the science and engineering behind couture construction in a way that is rare—every suggestion she made came from knowledge, intention, and artistry.
The entire experience was flawless. Communication was always clear and timely, I received a detailed quote upfront, and the fitting schedule was crafted perfectly so I never felt rushed or anxious ahead of the wedding. Tang took great care to ensure the alterations preserved the gown’s original structure, silhouette, and its couture label—honoring the designer while tailoring it to my body with perfection. On my wedding morning, stepping into my gown was emotional. It fit with such precision that every moment—from walking down the aisle to dancing—felt effortless, comfortable, and secure.
A heartfelt thank-you also goes to Jisun Choi, Floor Manager and a lead seamstress, whose specialized talent, meticulous workmanship, and warm personality made every fitting feel comfortable and memorable. Her careful execution is a major part of why the gown fit perfectly and photographed beautifully.
If you’re searching for someone you can trust with your most precious couture pieces, look no further. Tang and her team will honor your dress, calm your heart, and help you step into your wedding day with complete confidence. They are truly unmatched. I am SO GRATEFUL I entrusted my dream wedding dress to them!!

that was a mix of how I described what I was looking for and didn't even know it! The alterations were amazing and really made the dress, and Tang's actually made 2 different length veils out of my mom's veil so I had 2 different options on the big day itself.
A great experience. Tang listened to what I wanted, explained what could or could not work and offered opinions. My dress fit wonderfully on my wedding day

Tang brought my vision to life by creating a custom detachable bow from extra fabric and even went above and beyond to design detachable tails! Every stitch was perfection, and I truly couldn’t be more thankful for their talent, care, and dedication. ng ready on time or looking and fitting perfectly. I wanted to add a small beaded belt to my dress, and she found the perfect piece that looked like it was a part of the dress all along. We were also able to purchase my veil directly from them as well - it was fairly priced and matched the details of the dress. I had heard in wedding facebook groups and reviews that Tang's was the best place for wedding alterations, and after working with them I 100% agree. Thank you for helping me look and feel beautiful for my wedding!

sses and have alterations done. I was so pleased with the entire process! Sandi is the one who helped me pick out my dress and she made me feel beautiful in every dress and didn't put any pressure on me to make a decision that day. I did end up picking a dress I tried on that day though, and I couldn't be happier! I am obsessed with the dress I picked and how it fit me. During the alterations phase, Tang walked me through how to bustle the dress and how to pick it up when I was walking so I wouldn't step on it. She made sure it fit me like a glove!

king in the industry made me feel comfortable and confident selecting them.
Our initial consultation, we discussed hemming my wedding dress and letting out the fabric in some areas. Thanks to a wedding diet and workout routine, I only had to have the dress hemmed and a bustle added. Tang took a video of how to bustle the dress, which was very helpful for my bridesmaids because of how the buttons laid.
Tang's stays pretty busy, so I would suggest reaching out to them in advance to secure any and all appointments you need. I was very happy with their work and will be bringing my dress back for cleaning and preservation.

ng was so easy, organized, and professional. They really work their magic and make you feel beautiful! Of all the wedding to-do's I was most nervous to have my wedding dress fitted, but they made me feel so beautiful and really calmed by nerves. My dress fit like an absolute glove and the bustle they put in was amazing! The bustle looked like it was always meant to be there and it was so easy for my maid of honor to do. They even made an instruction video of how to bustle my dress for my maid of honor who lives across the county! Tang's is the best place to have your wedding dress altered, hands down!

I had seen, and ended up taking my dress here because it was also one of the best prices I was quoted! Tang was very fun and made me feel amazing in my dress. The dress was done quicky and fit perfectly at my second fitting. At my wedding I danced HARD and the bustle stayed put all night. It was a very simple and beautiful bustle that was easy to do and sturdy. Perfect for my dress. Believe the reviews and go to Tangs!

I needed the top taken in, the hem taken up, a bustle and straps added and the front lined. It was so easy to make an appointment and set the pick up day. I dropped it off on January 8th and picked it up February 8th (my wedding was 2/23). I 100% recommend Tang's Alterations. I've added pictures of before the alterations and pics from wedding day! I used Tang's for my alterations as recommended by the owner of the salon I purchased my dress from (Brooke's Bridal and Ball in Fairfax, VA) Tang did an amazing job with my dress....
I wanted to cover up some cleavage with lace appliques and line my the bodice of my dress. Tang didn't just do as I asked, but went above and beyond to explain why lining the dress wouldn't yield the result I was looking for and proposed the option of adding more lace to the back instead which was more beautiful that I could have imagined. The alterations to the dress are unnoticeable and look as if it was designed that way to begin with.
She also added a bustle to the back which was the most natural bustle I've ever seen on a dress. She even went so far as to record herself bustling it which was SO helpful with simple instructions on how to do it for my Mom who couldn't make it to the appointment. I was told Tang was the best in the business in the region and after my experience I totally agree.

alled, I felt defeated hearing they were booked several months out (past my wedding date) but they definitely heard the defeat in my voice and they did what they could for me by squeezing me in. The appointment was less than 15 minutes long, they knew what to do immediately from the questions they needed answered to the altering process. I was seen and heard throughout the entire process. They also took the time to add a protective layer to a portion of my dress so that it wouldn’t snag during the getting ready process on my wedding day. They not only gave 5-star service, but they were unbelievably affordable. I could not have asked for better.

fitting and within an hour I got a call to set up my appointment!
My dress only needed a hem and to take in the shoulders a bit, so it wasn't major alterations, but the team at tangs did it so quickly! They also added my bustle and were able to line it up with the lace on my gown so you couldn't notice it was even there!
When I went to pick up my dress, they took a detailed video on how to bustle the dress so I could show my mom who was unable to make the appointment. They also had creative saying to help you remember how to do certain things in your dress that made it easy to remember with all the craziness of the big day.
They also do dress cleaning and preservation which is where my dress currently is, and I am excited to see how it turns out!

wanted a large bow added to the back of my dress. I showed the seamstress a picture of the bow and within a minute she made a tissue paper mock version to show what it would look like in the fabric. Additionally, she showed me how to properly move in the dress AND made a bustle that defied the laws of physics. See the length of the train in the photo, she made it all magical fold on top of each other so I was easily able to dance (see second picture).
Thank Tang's Bridal for making me feel gorgeous and confident on my special day.
