A Night to Remember, A Night at the Museum
Holds ceremonies and receptions
Tappo at the Museum is a breathtaking, Neoclassical-style event venue in Buffalo, NY, for weddings and special occasions. This historic facility was first established in 1862 as the New York State Building, serving as a host for the Pan-American Exposition at the turn of the century. Today, it is The Buffalo History Museum, where hundreds of national treasures are displayed in honor of the city's rich history and where you can make your milestone a moment to remember.
Sprawling over thousands of square feet, Tappo at the Museum accommodates 200 guests for sit-down dinners and has a fine selection of indoor and outdoor spaces for your special event. Get started on your love story with an indoor ceremony at the Penfold Portico Gallery, a stylish, newly-renovated exhibition area with polished white floors, cold spotlighting, skylights, and smooth round pillars supported by elegant marble footings. Once it's time for teary-eyed toasts over classic cocktails and other beverages, your loved ones can retreat to the Portico and bask in its Parthenon-inspired architecture or head down its cream-colored steps to the outdoor bistro area, where a grassy terrace sits on either side. The State Court Room, with a refined geometric ceiling, vintage sphere lighting, and a sleek black floor, is ideal for lavish dinner parties. The Tappo team can set up more tables and chairs upstairs at the Mezzanine, a beautiful, ornate balcony overlooking the State Court ballroom. A large parking area is also located at the museum's front entrance to give all guests easy access to the grounds.
Many have entered a brand-new chapter at Tappo at the Museum, and the team can't wait to participate as you say hello to yours. All events at the venue are covered by the museum's on-site event coordinator, who's ready to give you all the support you need in planning your ideal wedding day. With in-house catering provided by the Tappo Restaurant, you can try all the flavors that make Buffalo's food culture a favorite.

We would highly recommend this venue for your wedding! Everything about the day was perfect, and a lot of that is thanks to Christa and the rest of the staff. Christa was so easy t...
o work with leading up to the event, answering any of our questions and meeting with us multiple times to go over all of the details. On the day of, Christa and her staff did a wonderful job setting up the room and paying attention to all of our little details. She continued to communicate with us throughout the night to help with anything we might need and to check in on how things were going. The food was absolutely amazing and our guests couldn't stop raving about it!
