The Hotel at the Lafayette located in Downtown Buffalo was anticipated to be ready to host the influx of visitors for the Pan American Exposition but didn't open its doors until 1904. Designed by the first recognized female architect in the US, Louise Bethune. The hotel still has 34 gorgeous hotel rooms making it the perfect space for your out-of-town guests. Our Courtyard Room can accommodate about 200 guests for sit down dinners while our Greenhouse Room can accommodate 225 guests for sit down dinners; cocktail parties and casual events can accommodate an even larger guest count. Each room comes with its own outdoor terrace, ideal for cocktail hours and outdoor ceremonies. The hotel rooms being just steps away, your guests will surely have a great time. After your night of fun, book your post wedding brunch with us the following day to really wow your guests! Although we love hosting weddings, we offer much more. The Courtyard Room is ideal for rehearsal dinners, showers, meetings, funeral lunches, etc. The Greenhouse Room is perfect for vow renewals, brunches, galas, proms, etc.! d Kim about the venue and planning, all the way to the party itself in September 2024, was pretty seamless. Christa was all over the arrangements in a relaxed, but still reassuring fashion. The venue was beautiful for both events. Kim and the staff were on point late into Saturday night, then again for Sunday morning. We could not had asked for a better team. Everyone was professional, yet personable, adding to the enjoyment of the evening. And the timing of food and cake and coffee and the like was awesome. Our food was fantastic. I don't have enough hats to take off for the chef. For the party, we did a large casual grazing table with some upgrades, and a full brunch buffet the next morning. I am still thinking about how good it all was. We would not hesitate to book with Tappo again, no matter the location.
