She was so easy to work with - very quick to respond, incredibly accommodating to our schedule, and so efficient in returning our wedding pictures to us. Beyond that, she was so kind and made us feel comfortable, relaxed, and cared for. Our whole bridal party loved hanging out with her while we got pictures. I'm so glad we chose Tara to shoot our wedding! My partner and I are generally camera shy, but she made us feel super comfortable when we went off to do couples' shots, and it really comes through in the photos. From the first conversation I had with Tara I knew she was going to be the perfect photographer for us! The photos they captured were absolutely stunning!!! The angles and scenes they shot tell our wedding story just how we remember it. Tara captured so many memorable candid moments for us that I am forever grateful for her. Even our posed photos don't look or feel posed. All of our photos have movement and life to them. She and her team were professional the whole day and added so much joy and laughter throughout the process. I have no words to describe how amazing of a photographer and human Tara is. From the first phone call, to the engagement shoot, to the wedding day… Tara made everything feel so naturally comfortable and made us feel at ease. Tara truly was amazing our entire wedding day - she helped bustle my dress when my mom and my bridesmaids were having difficulties, she taught us in real-time how to cut a wedding cake, she adjusted my veil in every picture after my dad stepped on it causing a little tear and ASSURED me that it was stunning, and she helped make our day so seamless… all while capturing GORGEOUS photos. I cannot recommend her enough to be a part of your day. I will cherish the photos and the memories from our wedding day for a lifetime and then some.

When looking for a photographer for our wedding, my husband and I kept coming back to Tara’s work and were so excited when Tara had our date available. We first scheduled our engagement session with Tara and were both a little nervous since we never had professional photos together before. Leading up to our session, Tara helped us choose locations around Pittsburgh that fit our vision and even gave us ideas/tips for outfits. This was our first time meeting Tara and she made us feel SO comfortable. We were thrilled with our pictures, turning out so natural and fun that I knew we made the right choice for our wedding day. Leading up to the wedding, Tara was very responsive, quickly responding to emails and setting up phone calls whenever I had questions. She helped us tweak the timeline as needed to fit our ideas. Tara was very professional both leading up to the wedding, on our wedding day, and after. She worked so well with other vendors to make our day run smoothly. Tara showed up exactly as scheduled, helped us make minimal changes to the timeline as the day progressed, and paid attention to shots that we pointed out were important to us. Tara (and her second shooter, Tyler) were the perfect combination of calm but efficient which is exactly what we needed. They fit in so well with our group which made for very natural photos that reflected our personalities! Tara knew it was important to us to get golden hour photos and found us at exactly the perfect time so we didn’t miss out on this opportunity. Even when time was getting tight, Tara made sure we fit in shots we wanted with our dog quickly! We got so many compliments from guests that Tara and Tyler were always ready to snap the perfect shots with so many dance floor candids to show - they never missed a thing! After the wedding, Tara got us sneak peeks quickly (which exceeded our expectations with so many photos) and our full gallery as promised, sending us updates along the way. We could not have been happier with the results! My husband and I, along with our family, would highly recommend Tara Bennett Photography. From the engagement pictures to our wedding day, Tara made this process so easy and enjoyable that even someone like me, who doesn’t care for pictures, have fun! Her communication was great as she was able to answer any questions or concerns we had. She always had suggestions when we were uncertain as to what to wear, how to stand, etc and she was honest! Things I would’ve never thought about for pictures she mentioned and in the end we were beyond pleased with the results of her photos! Very easy to work with and her personality is awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Tara and can’t recommend her enough! We were planing a surprise wedding and didn’t know what type of pictures we wanted. Tara is easily one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding day! She was so sweet and laid back, but not afraid to provide direction for those of us (me, the bride) who aren’t used to being in front of a camera or the center of attention. I feel like she did a great job of meeting us where we were at that day, while protecting our interests. It rained, but Tara was still able to scope out some great outdoor spots for photos. We had the pleasure of having Tara photograph our small courthouse wedding this summer! I hired Tara to photograph our August 2019 wedding based on a referral from a mutual friend, and I could not have made a better choice! I had some very specific visions for what I wanted to get across in my wedding photos and she totally got what I was going for & delivered on it. She has an incredibly artistic eye and gives amazing direction. But the biggest reason you should hire Tara over anyone else with similar talents is the experience of working with her. Our event was somewhat on the untraditional & chaotic side (I planned our wedding in 3 months & I got lucky I was able to book Tara on short notice bc she had a cancellation), but she just worked so gracefully through the chaos and went with the flow. I am a huge pain in the ass when it comes to having photos taken of myself, but she never made me feel like one. I hired some very novice videographers for the event, and she worked so well with them and even gave them some valuable direction. I invited her to stay after the event and enjoy herself - she did, and my guests loved her! Tara is both an artist and a professional, and just an awesome person to have on your wedding team. If you're planning a Pittsburgh wedding, don't hesitate to hire her.

Tara was amazing! She was really kind and the pictures she took captured us and our surroundings very well. We were pretty awkward and did not know much coming into this process but she led us through, we had a lot of fun with her, and at the end, she gave us a lot of beautiful pictures, and the turnaround was quick! Tara was amazing!!!! From the beginning of our engagement all the way to the wedding, Tara was behind my expectations. She has a way of making everything feel so natural. I’m very awkward in front of the camera and I was so nervous when we had our engagement shoot, but Tara put everything at ease and just made us very comfortable. As for our wedding day, I can’t even describe the beauty captured in every shot. Tara has a way of envisioning the picture before she captured it and it made it so hard to pick photos later on. Let me start off by saying that I didn’t book Tara under what might be considered “normal circumstances.” I hired Tara strictly off of browsing her portfolio (because it’s amazing!) without ever meeting her in person. I also didn’t use her for our engagement photos because we had a friend that wanted to gift us with that. (Don’t worry, I’m a Covid bride and there will be second “engagement” photos, to which I will use Tara for!) This meant that my first time meeting her would be on my wedding day...until I decided to do a boudoir shoot for my groom! Yes, the first time I met my photographer was when I was barely wearing any clothing, and I would do it all again in a heartbeat! She was incredible! She showed up with a bottle of wine and it was like two longtime girlfriends having a party. She made the shoot so much fun and so natural that I never once felt uncomfortable. Not only is Tara an exceptional photographer, she‘s extremely creative and very good at directing. I highly recommend everyone doing a boudoir shoot (even if it’s just for yourself!) and hiring Tara do the job! Also, the pictures were so tastefully gorgeous! We had Tara and a second shooter for the day of our wedding. I cannot stress enough how professional and fun they both were! They were like normal guests at our wedding and I mean that in the most positive way! They were really engaged with the whole day and our guests to make sure they captured all of those sweet moments. And the whole reception was a blur, but I’m pretty positive they even stayed after they were “off the clock” and still snapped some shots. My whole family wanted to hang out with Tara! The day after our wedding, Tara had posted a few pictures of us as a sneak peek and I literally gasped out loud. They were unbelievably stunning and I cannot wait to see them all! I cannot recommend Tara enough! Whatever the shoot is, you won’t be disappointed!

Tara was so amazing to work with for our July 25, 2020! The thing I loved most about her was how CHILL she was. When speaking to wedding photographers, sometimes I felt overwhelmed with how much information they wanted to know about me and my significant other. Tara was so laid back and made me feel at ease immediately when I spoke with her, which I really appreciated! She's so sweet and beyond talented-- I can't stop looking at the photos she took of our engagement and of our wedding! She also saved the day on our wedding day when my husband's brother got oil on his shirt-- Tara swooped in like superwoman and got the oil out with Dawn dish soap! She was the true MVP of the wedding. I would hire her over and over again. Thank you, Tara, for capturing the best day of our lives!

If we could give Tara more than five stars we would!! She got every shot we requested and far exceeded our expectations. Her team calmly organized our wedding party and collaborated very well with our videographers. She even agreed to shooting engagement pictures in a snow storm that turned into freezing rain. She actually recommended we drive a little further north just to catch more snow than freezing rain. All of those pictures turned out amazing and we can’t wait to see our wedding pictures. Tara has great energy and enthusiasm about her work. We would definitely recommend her to anyone! We cannot thank her enough for capturing our special day!!

As a professional musician, I am always on the look out for great photographers. I was attending a friend's wedding with my fiancé (now my wife) and I noticed a photographer taking random shots of people. What made me take notice was how she would wait for the correct moment and then snap rapid shots in succession. She was waiting for the right shot. My husband and I renewed our vows for our 10 year anniversary in Las Vegas. It was Tara’s idea to shoot at Red Rock Canyon. We were blown away at the images she captured as well as the lengths Tara took to capture them. She literally repelled down cliffs and climbed steep corridors to get the perfect shot. Not only does her aesthetic set her aside but her determination to capture the moment is everything we could have asked for in a photographer.

I was introduced to Tara while part of a destination wedding in Aruba. Both Tara's personality and photography style are unmatched. Tara is extremely educated in her craft. Tara did a fantastic job on our engagement photos and wedding photos. Last July, she traveled all the way from Pittsburgh to Tampa (where my wife and I live) to do our engagement photos. They turned out amazing. Our wedding photos were breathtaking. My wife wanted a few specific photos of her veil blowing in the wind and Tara made sure we got everything we wanted.
