I have always been a huge fan of Tara’s work! Was completely blown away when my partner booked her for our surprise engagement. She brought great energy. She was just As excited as we were for the engagement. Helped me feel comfortable with myself during the photos. Made us laugh and also confident in our love! The pictures came out amazing and we are beyond happy with having this memory documented forever.

Tara was AMAZING! We loved working with her from start to finish. Our engagement photos were great, and she was fantastic on the day of our wedding as well. She was organized, helpful, upbeat, and enthusiastic the whole day. Highly recommend, especially for queer couples!!

My partner and I had followed Tara's work for quite some time and have always absolutely been in love with her work. When we had to reschedule our 2020 wedding to a year later due to the pandemic we were lucky enough that she was available on the date we chose. We had our engagement shoot in May of 2021 and the way she prompted us an encouraged us while also giving us the space to just be us was an incredible experience. That shoot brought us closer together as a couple and deepened our relationship. The photographs blew us away. She has an amazing ability to capture the essence of a couple while simultaneously helping them connect in new and exciting ways. She's not only an incredible photographer she also is a connector of people. This is a unique gift. She then photographed our small, intimate wedding in August 2021. We again had another opportunity to connect with each other in a playful and beautiful way. She loved my partner's idea to do a boudoir shoot before we got ready together. This was an intimate experience and I felt totally safe with her the whole time. The work she sent back to us again astounded us! I cannot think of anyone else with whom I would have rather worked. She also got our photographs back to us with astonishing speed! If you get a chance to work with Tara I HIGHLY recommend her. She's not only an amazingly talented artist, she is also one of the sweetest, most genuine people I know.

What can I say to fully express my love and appreciation for Tara’s talent and professionalism. Tara was truly a dream to work with. Regarding the product/pictures - I felt beautiful in every picture. I am not someone who feels super comfortable in front of a camera, and she made me feel myself, understood when I didn’t, and was able to direct in a way that brought myself and partner back to being present and in the moment. This is a true talent. We continue to look at our wedding and engagement pictures with huge smiles on our faces. We see ourselves in these pictures which brings me right back to that day. She has so much experience with weddings that she was able to help us nail down our timeline and days events to work perfectly with out photographs. She was detail oriented, organized, and a truly wonderful addition to our wedding day. She is easy going and go with the flow. We didn’t feel like she was barking at our guests - which has happened at other weddings I had been a part of. Since our wedding, I have worked with Tara for professional/business photos too. Again, Tara is able to direct which locations, timing, and outfit choices would make the most sense for the vision. We found Tara through Instagram while looking for wedding photographers who mainly shoot for LGBTQ+ couples. Her photography immediately caught our eyes and honestly once I saw her past wedding photos I didn’t want to keep looking! She met with us through Zoom and we instantly felt comfortable and felt like connected well. We booked her and can honestly say she is worth every penny and more! She connects with you, makes you feel confident, has a fun personality, and is so professional! Most importantly, our wedding photos came out so beautifully and we are in love with them! When we first started planning our wedding, in my mind the most important vendor to hire was our photographer because the service they provided was going to be something that we’d see over and over again for the rest of our lives. So after the hours of research and scrutiny over the photographers our wedding planner sent us, I can easily say that I am beyond happy with our decision to hire Tara. Tara has a wonderful eye and also has a talent to capture LGBTQ weddings in a way that gave me pause with other photographers we interviewed. It’s honestly an important thing to consider and Tara’s portfolio really speaks to her abilities. During our engagement shoot, Tara was such a positive and upbeat force that really helped me feel at ease for what is something that I’m not usually the most comfortable with – posed photos. Her method to capture truly fantastic moments between me and my fiancé was truly amazing. On the day, Tara somehow managed to be both everywhere and nowhere at the same time. She couldn’t be spotted and yet got something like 900 photos of the best day of our lives. All of which were absolutely stunning. To top it all off, she managed to send us all of our photos within 3 weeks of our wedding – and I think she had COVID during those 3 weeks! I was amazed by the turnaround time. Tara’s truly a fantastic photographer and you will not regret hiring her.

Tara has been an absolute pleasure to work with! She is so nice and very charismatic which makes it easy to feel comfortable with her. We contacted her in 2021 to set up for our 2022 wedding and got an engagement shoot done prior to it as well. Communicating with her was very easy and we never felt like we were in the dark about anything. She worked very well with the other vendors at our wedding and was great with our guests. We had a few things not going to plan (mostly coordination issues) and not only was she being reassuring and helped to mitigate the stress we felt to keep us calm and in the moment, but she was also making sure we stayed on track with time and she and another vendor we had there communicated together and helped with our coordination issues to ensure that everything ran smoothly and continued to stay on schedule. We cannot express enough the level of gratitude we have for Tara! She went above and beyond what we could have hoped for or expected and would 1000% recommend her to everyone. We worked with Tara Beth on two occasions -- for our engagement photos in summer 2021 and our wedding in May 2022. She was fantastic to work with both times, traveling for both photo shoots. Engagement photos were taken in Central Point, VA (Caroline County), where Mildred and Richard Loving (Loving v. Virginia) lived and loved. Her eye for the natural lighting caught some beautiful, intimate moments in a location meaningful for us. We appreciate the time she took to come out to a not very descript nor distinctive location that was nonetheless deep with meaning, and find those moments to make our engagement photos so beautiful. Then this spring 2022 despite her busy and full schedule, she worked with us on a detailed shoot request and schedule for our northern VA wedding and reception. Tara Beth is so much fun to work with -- calming our nerves, eliciting so much laughter, patience finding the right angles for such beautiful moments. We appreciate the details she caught of the location, decor, attire, family and friends. I love her eye for capturing moments in a documentary style that comes through as natural in each shot. Any photos I didn't like were self critical of myself. But the lighting and angles, moments she captured are beautiful. Hire her.

This will be long, but necessary. My fiancé & I had booked with Tara back in Jan. of 2021. Prior to the formal contract, we had met with her in late Dec. via FaceTime to discuss ideas about our wedding day. During our FaceTime, we discussed the *idea* of 10/02/21 as our date - we just knew we wanted an Oct. wedding. As my fiancé and I did our research, with 2021 being so booked, we opted out of that date & informed Tara; she told us she would mark it as available, & we were okay with that. Between Jan. 8th - 11th, we asked if Tara was available for a few dates in Oct., listing 4 different dates. Tara informed us on Jan. 11th that she was available on 10/01/21 & we moved on to putting a deposit down & signing a contract. We emailed consistently from Jan.-June. On 4/26, she posted on her Instagram story, asking for all of her couples to send her a text for a “brain refresher.” I texted her to remind her that she’d be photographing our wedding on 10/01/21. There was no concern over the date between Jan.-May. On 6/29, I sent her an email her, asking if she would be alone or if she'd be bringing an assistant, to help me account vendor meals. She responded saying that she had double-booked our date, & the other client had booked before us, so she will no longer be photographing our wedding & that she'd refund our deposit & help us look for another photographer. This is 3 months before our wedding. To say I was devastated is an understatement. At most, I am deeply confused, frustrated, & hurt. I have had constant correspondence with Tara via email/text since Jan. - all of which have included our date. If the other client had booked before us, you’d think they would also be in constant contact with Tara to share updates, re: the same date. How was there no notice of this on her end for 6 months? See, there is no doubt in my mind about Tara being a talented photographer. I won’t argue that at all. Her work and photos are beautiful, and they caught our eye for a reason. But at the end of the day, talent can only get you so far. At some point you need to reflect on how you’re also conducting business. I know it can’t be easy to keep track- but I think as a business owner it’s important to admit when you need help. Aside from that, I was expecting, at the very least, some sort of personal reference for photographers. We all know Tara has a huge following on social media. She ended up posting on her Instagram story asking for available photographers for our wedding day. She shared that it was for an “amazing queer couple getting married in the mountains." We’re not getting married in the mountains - at best, it felt extremely disingenuous. She sent me emails with the names of photographers who had responded to her story. Nothing personal. I think that’s what is the most unprofessional of all of this. I grew up with a photographer mother, it’s not like I don’t know the business. You always have a backup. You don’t know if you’ll get sick or an emergency will come up. But not realizing you're double booked for 6 months? This is being completely unprofessional, unprepared, & frankly, dishonorable. I would absolutely not recommend Tara for any photography needs, especially your wedding. If you don’t mind risking it all with your wedding day & don’t want something guaranteed, maybe this is for you. But if you’re like me & would like to know for a fact the most important day of your life is documented & handled professionally, look elsewhere.

Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about Tara. She was everything we were looking for in a photographer and so much more. When my wife and I started wedding planning, we wanted to make sure to hire LGBTQ+ friendly vendors. Our DJ actually recommended Tara to us, and working with her was truly one of the best parts of our experience. My wife and I were super apprehensive about taking "romantic" professional photos, as we didn't think that was really "our vibe." Not only did Tara make us feel completely comfortable with taking those photos, she helped to push us out of our comfort zone to get even more beautiful photos than we thought possible! Tara was super flexible with us during the planning process and helped us navigate everything when we had to postpone our original wedding date due to COVID. She also answered all of our questions and eased our minds when we were still a little nervous about having our wedding this year. On our wedding day, she knew that we wanted to enjoy as much of our cocktail hour and reception as possible and worked with us to get beautiful photos in a timely manner after the ceremony so that we could greet all of our guests and eat hors d'oeuvres! I honestly could go on and on, but her work really speaks for itself. She is beyond talented and is just a joy to be around. Hire Tara. I promise it will be one of the best things you do for your wedding.

Beautiful Soul, Beautiful Photographer!! We found Tara through social media, and she played such an instrumental part in the beauty that was our wedding day. We had an amazing time shooting our engagement photos with her, and even though it was our first meeting, she made us feel instantly comfortable. She has a way of helping you to only focus on your partner, inciting conversations and phrases with one another, and then capturing a true feeling or genuine moment. She was always very open to communication, and asked questions about what we liked and didn't like. Our wedding day expectations were super high! Tara met us in Costa Rica and she brought her beautiful energy and spirit along with her. She captured the truly priceless moments, many of us crying. laughing, and of enjoying the small moments together. If you want to see emotion, she is your gal!! She did great with our many scene changes, from venue to beach to dance floor, and works very quickly. She did an excellent job with the low light photography on the dance floor, and even indulged us with a special shoot on our own. Thank you so much Tara, you have made these unforgettable moments now immortalized, and we are so thankful to have met you in so many ways. <3

A great photographer was our highest priority when planning our wedding, and as soon as we saw Tara's work we knew we'd found exactly what we were looking for. Not only is her work gorgeous though, she creates such a wonderful environment even for two photo shy brides. We loved that an engagement session came included with our package, because we got to develop a relationship with Tara beforehand. We've never felt so safe in front of camera, even though the moments she's capturing are very intimate. She was the perfect person for us to have around on such an important day, and the photos she captured are unreal and so beautiful. We love her and her work so much.

Tara's work is unlike anything I've ever seen before. She has just an artistic eye for the most beautiful and romantic shots. She was the first vender I booked when I got engaged. My sister got married 3 years ago and used Tara as her photographer and I knew then that I had to have Tara shoot my wedding one day. From the engagement photos to our wedding, everything is so beautiful. She made everything feel effortless and really showed our love in every photo. We got our preview photos and it took my breathe away. She is also so much fun, she taught me how to do the wobble on our dance floor! We had such a blast at the wedding and her work is spectacular. You will want to hire Tara because she was the best money I spent on anything at my wedding! She was beyond perfect!

We were on a bit of a time crunch when we were planning for our wedding back in July. Tara was able to fit us in and we are forever grateful! Tara has not only a great eye, but she's also an amazing person. She really got to know us as a couple through the engagement photos, which gave her a sense of what we wanted and how my husband and I interact with one another while being photographed (we're totally awkward lol). She made being photographed fun and made us laugh and feel comfortable which was really important. She asked us to answer questions while being photographed and reminded us of why we were doing this in the first place. Our wedding photos are gorgeous. Her use of natural light is one of the biggest reasons we wanted her to photograph our wedding and she did not disappoint! Thank you Tara!!

Tara’s talent and eye for photography is second to none. She made our wedding day, and even our engagement shots, so comfortable and so intimate! Her shots are beyond stunning, and bring our wedding day back to life every time I look at them (multiple times an hour!). Tara makes her sessions and wedding day photography so comfortable, and fun while she constantly reminds you why you and your love are sharing these moments. In all of wedding planning, her photography sessions were my favorite (especially the day of!!) because it is so easy during wedding planning to get overwhelmed, but the way Tara runs her shoots makes it all about you, your fiancée, and the reason your love made all of this possible in the first place.

I can't imagine my wedding without Tara as our photographer. Every time I post one of our incredible wedding or engagement photos to my social media accounts, I receive so many compliments on how unbelievably talented she is. Tara was incredible for many reasons. 1. She took time to learn about us as a couple, asking us to take a quiz to learn our love languages and asking pointed questions about our dynamic and relationship. This helped her to take photos that really represented us in our real life. 2. She was quick to respond to any questions or updates that we had, so I was able to mark things off of my to do list quickly. 3. She uses lighting in an AMAZING way, capturing an already gorgeous scene in a way that I didn’t even see before the photos came out. 4. She focuses on LGBTQ couples, making us feel comfortable during what feels like a vulnerable state (being very out in public while taking photos with your partner). 5. Tara got our sneak peek to us extremely quickly, and followed up soon after with the rest of the photos. I can’t recommend her enough. Her business and her clients are her top priority, and in my opinion, she truly is the best in the game. We will cherish these photos forever.

We cannot express how happy and grateful we are to have had Tara photograph our wedding. She was hands down the best investment of our wedding as she captured every special, candid moment that we get to look back on and relive. Besides her exceptional talent, she has the best personality and was so warm and friendly to not only our wedding party but also with our guests. Tara is incredible. There's no other way to describe her. From the first time we met, she made my husband and I feel so chill and comfortable that we could really be ourselves. She captures so many beautiful un-posed moments as well as unique posed shots as well (which is why I love work so much). She is so cool, SO good at what she does and is 100% is not afraid to take charge of the situation (& of 11 crazy groomsmen for that matter), which is so needed with the hectic nature of the day. If I could give Tara more than 5 stars I would! My husband and I found Tara on The Knot and were blown away by her work. She is a true artist and we couldn't be happier with our engagement and wedding photos. As our photographer, she put us at ease and gave amazing direction. Also, she is fun, enthusiastic, and adventurous, which truly took our photos to the next level. We ended up in the middle of a cornfield on our wedding day, and absolutely loved it! She is also incredibly fast and responsive - we received our engagement photos and our wedding preview photos about 2 days after the photo sessions, and each and every photo was a work of art. We are just grateful that we found her before she got too famous!!! :-)

I could not begin to explain how much Tara and her assistant Alexa made my wedding day go flawless and smooth. From the time she arrived she was ready to work, taking time perfecting all of my small details in my dress, jewelry, and shoes. During my reception she had so much energy and I felt like every time I turned around she was there photographing not just me and my husband but the entire event, even taking time to dance on the dance floor. A wedding photographer is an essential piece of any wedding day and I would pick Tara and recommend her to any bride ten times over.

Tara is not only an incredibly talented photographer, she is an absolutely amazing person. She has an eye for finding unique lighting and using it to create beautiful images. Tara happened to be in Los Angeles and wandered the streets and beach in Venice with us during her vacation to get some engagement photos for us. She made us feel totally comfortable and we had so much fun. On our wedding day in Philly, Tara and her equally awesome assistant, Jesse, kept us all on schedule and gave great direction to everyone involved in photos. You don't just want Tara as your wedding photographer - you NEED her. She is a consummate professional and a delightful person. Tara is an amazing photographer! . We heard about Tara from a friend who used her at their wedding. She did an amazing job during our engagement shoot last July and again at our wedding in May! She worked with our awkwardness and unfamiliarity in front of the camera during the engagement shoot and was wonderful giving directions. The pictures I have seen and shown others from the wedding are PHENOMENAL. People are raving about her artistic ability! Not only is she wonderful behind the camera, she was so flexible when we changed photography locations and ran late getting hair and makeup done the day of. I was thankful to have her along for our planning process since she has wonderful tips + advice on her website and helped us create the day of schedule. And she was so much fun at the reception!!

Tara is hands down an outstanding photographer. Not only is Tara extremely passionate, personable and fun, which truly helps make you comfortable but her work is exceptional. This review is so long overdue. My wife and I were married in June of 2015 and there has not been a week that goes by when we haven’t looked at our wedding pictures and felt grateful and awestruck. Tara Beth made capturing our love for each other and the city of Philadelphia effortless. She was incredibly gracious and warm before, during, and after the wedding. When we had only a few requests for photo locations, Tara Beth was ready with many excellent suggestions. We visited places I would not have considered, and am thrilled that she did. Her easy-going personality and sense of humor put both of us at ease in all locations, and our photographs reflect that. I am typically uncomfortable getting my picture taken, but the photographs that she took show none of my fear or discomfort. In fact, they visually reflect the wonder and joy of our love in a way that I didn’t think was possible. When I look at them now, I re-experience all of the happiness and joy of the day, and I am so grateful. Thank you, Tara Beth. You are an artist and an angel!

Tara's photography is incomparable. Seriously, her art is unmatched. And she is nice and accommodating on top of it all. Aside from a few emails that she was slow to respond to (granted it was peak wedding season), she was amazing to work with. Even on the actual wedding day, she maneuvered between photographer and anxiety tamer (for the bride) with such grace. She also goes above and beyond to include the not-so-camera-friendly toddler. Our photos are absolutely gorgeous. Seriously, all of them are amazing. We now have the difficult task of choosing the ones to get printed!

I can't say enough good things about Tara. She has been responsive, talented, kind and fun to work with. She took our engagement photos in October and I still flip through them with a huge smile on my face. I first found Tara on Facebook, through a friend who shared her work. I hired Tara to photograph my proposal and I immediately fell in love with her and her work. Not only is she down to earth, but she is very professional. I love that she is not afraid to tell you your hair is in your face or your hand looks awkward. The end result is priceless. My fiancé and I also had her do our engagement shoot - the pictures turned out wonderful!!! We are even more excited for Tara to photograph OUR BIG DAY!!! Tara’s work is stunning. Her talent is undeniable, but what you can’t see from looking at her photos is how wonderful she is to work with. When I asked my husband what he liked about working with Tara, he did not hesitate: “Her attitude. She made me feel comfortable from the start.” From start to finish, she was a genuine pleasure to work with and a total professional. When shooting our Engagement photos, my husband and I were kind of clueless about what we wanted to do, and Tara was the perfect coach. When she shot our Wedding, she provided some much needed structure to an otherwise chaotic day, especially that morning at the hotel with me and the bridesmaids. She was the coolest head in the room, and I was so grateful! Plus, she is open-minded and super creative. If she asks you “Are you feeling adventurous?” Say yes, and trust her. You’ll end up with something beautiful and unique. On top of receiving drop dead gorgeous representations of our Engagement and Wedding, and also Tara being an awesome human, the timeframe in which we received our photos is unheard of. The quick turnaround was an amazing surprise. Two days after our wedding, she posted over 70 fully edited photos for us to share on social media, and shortly after, emailed us a larger album for our own use. I’m so obsessed with them, and it really helped keep that euphoric, just-married feeling going :) I highly recommend working with Tara and would definitely work with her again.

So we first met Tara at our friends wedding as she shot nothing but amazing photos- we happily introduced ourselves as her new inviting customers, creepy? We didn't think so. She came into our life as nothing but warm, inviting, and animated to join OUR day. Fast forward to planning our engagement shoot. So we had planned for a few dates but as luck would have us, EVERY date was POURING rain. Tara ensured that unless it was a July shoot, that was not the best. So, we planned on. Brittney and I both work shift work so, our schedules are limited. Tara was extremely flexible and reliable, and made our unreliable schedule work. When the day came, we were were both filled with anxiety, but she made us feel so comfortable and at ease. There was no pressure- these pictures were about us, about our love and about our weirdness. Tara got in the sticks with us and made the pictures everything they're worth. Not only that, but she has an awesome personality!

Tara has an eye and lenses meant to capture love ! she has done a surprise engagement shoot for me as well as a traditional engagement shoot and another photo shoot for me and she will be traveling across the country with us to shoot our wedding in vegas ! she is sooo timely with getting the pictures back because im sure she knows how anxious couples are to see their pictures and relive their special moments. she is so creative and dedicated to getting to know her couples and really portraying who they are through her photos, anybody in my circle knows to call Tara when its their time to get married. She is highly respected in the Philadelphia community , and an overall awesome person who makes you feel so comfortable even if you don't think you are photogenic (like my fiance ). From the engagement shoot through the wedding, Tara was professional, friendly, and demonstrated a great eye. She put us at ease and made us comfortable in front of the camera. She captured "us". We wanted to fun, candid images that captured the feeling of the wedding and she did that and more. We did some posed portraits, and those are beautiful, but our favorite photos are the ones that really caught a particular moment. She had fast turn around time and provided so many amazing photos that we just keep looking through. There is a soft vintage feel to her work while keeping things modern and fun. I am so impressed by Tara and would highly recommend her!

We found Tara on a random Facebook search for our DC courthouse wedding! She was awesome from start to finish. Her communication was wonderful and very fast. Our pictures were way more beautiful than we imagined. I would definitely suggest anybody in the DC or Pennsylvania area to look her up. You will not regret it.
