Hi! I'm Tara! I am a professional photographic artist specializing in environmental portraiture, weddings, and fine art. In all of my creative work, my goal is to bring a seamless blend of art, emotion, and experience. It isn't just photos we are taking, but memories we are making. Creating an atmosphere that allows me to capture the most authentic and unfettered moments is of utmost importance to me. I want my clients to end each experience with images that are truly expressive of who they are and of the love they hold so dear. Every love story is an adventure, and no two are the same! I have been working in the industry for over 12 years now. I work with a balance of both natural and artificial light as well as a mix of both film and digit mediums.

took beautiful pictures. If our experience with her is based solely on that day and the quality of the photos, she would be 4.5 to 5 stars. Tara provided a sneak peak of our photos (approximately 75) within a week, which were great. Regrettably, our experience after the wedding day has not been very good. We received our photos in two batches; the first batch arrived approximately 14 weeks after our wedding, and only after many text messages, emails and phone calls. The final batch arrived a couple weeks later, again after numerous reach outs. (Note that our contract with Tara specified 12 weeks as the timeline in which all photos must be delivered and she was unable to deliver on that timeline.) Tara was extremely hard to get a hold of and mostly unresponsive. When she uploaded the first batch, she didn’t send us any communication; we only realized the photos were there after checking her site to see if there were any updates.
It’s important to note that Tara responded to our texts when we checked in at the 10-week mark since we were concerned we hadn’t heard from her. She told us at that time that she had been in an automotive accident (in which she was uninjured but others were) and was dealing with that. When she continued to be unresponsive, she eventually replied letting us know she was vacationing for the summer in Colorado, often out of cellular coverage.
Of final note: when we did eventually receive the photos, the metadata was incorrect/changed in most of them. They do not have their proper timestamps and do not appear in correct sequence when imported into MacOS’s Photos app as a result.
We notified Tara that we were going to post an honest review online and have invited her to fix the metadata and improve our experience. If she does, we’ll update this review. In the interim, I do not recommend using Tara. While her photos are beautiful, her customer service post-wedding is very poor and unresponsive.

day to ensure everything was captured. She helped me into my dress, drove us around the island and provided timeless photos that truly captured who we are as a couple. I love her creative mind and her true to life edits. We can't thank Tara enough for making our last minute elopement a reality and rolling with all of our ideas. We are coming up on our 1 year anniversary and our home is COVERED with canvas from the best day ever!! Thank you!!!

ost honest and kindest humans I worked with throughout the whole wedding planning process. From our first conversation, Tara kept communication consistent and honest. She always offered the best advice and wonderful recommendations.
I struggle to find the words when trying to describe Tara's photography. She has an eye for shots like I have never seen before. Each and every picture is intentional, meaningful and so beyond words beautiful.
On our wedding day Tara made sure to get every picture, from every angle without hesitation. She meant business - and that to me was everything! I am a teacher, so I know that getting 20 little ones in line is a mess and a half - but getting a whole wedding party, and their families, and their friends and who knows who else together - and smiling - and laughing...that is nothing I could ever do, and Tara did an outstanding job at this! The whole day flowed so well, it was absolutely flawless.
My husband and I could have truly spent the whole day just frolicking the streets of St. Augustine with Tara. She made us feel so important, made sure we were having fun the whole time and took some of the most amazing shots. We left for our honeymoon 2 days after the wedding, and on our plane to Hawaii - Tara sends us our sneak peek!! You can only imagine how the tears on the plane were flowing. We have had SO many friends get married in the past few years, and that was by far the quickest anyone has ever gotten their pictures back. And they weren't just pictures, they were a work of ART! looking for: vibrant, romantic, and organic. A lot of photographers nowadays have a very washed out look to their photos that I am not a fan of. Tara has a way of capturing the natural beauty and color of any situation. I contacted her through her website and was immediately provided a response and a request to video chat with my fiancé and I, as a way to get to know us as a couple and answer any questions we had. Since our first email correspondence, she has been quick to respond to any questions we had, and never made us feel like we were bothering her (though I know she has a very busy schedule). Unlike other photographers, she doesn't limit your creativity and allows you to pick any location you want for engagement/wedding shoots. She scouts out any location you pick and makes it so that there is no wasted time on the day of the shoot. She is friendly, professional, and organized in her work. All of our wedding guests were so impressed with her and her work. She is so stealthy as she runs back and forth to different spots so that she captures the best angle of every situation! When I received the sneak peek photos, she has pictures from so many different angles, I keep wondering how she was able to get them all without me even seeing her! Our wedding day was spectacular, made all the more special by her capturing all the moments. When we got the final files of our wedding pictures, I was surprised at all the moments she had photographed that I wasn't aware of and the special things she'd discovered throughout the day and photographed with no direction.

Her attention to detail is most notable in her very personalized approach -- Tara takes great care to ensure that your special day will reflect your style and your preferences, so you won't just wind up with a cookie-cutter photo album of less than interesting images.
My husband and I planned a rustic, outdoorsy wedding and I will say that, over the course of the afternoon, Tara could be seen climbing trees, crawling through bushes, and letting me wipe my rust-stained hands (we were playing on an old swing set) on her pants when nothing else was readily available. She has an incredible eye and is not afraid of getting a little dirty if it means capturing the moment.
The quality of our experience and our images far exceeded our expectations. My husband literally remarked that he has never respected photographers as artists (finding the industry flooded with talentless people who own expensive gear) before meeting Tara, but that watching the way she works changed his perspective on photography entirely. We will definitely be calling her for family photos for years to come!
