Tarry A While Resort

We were married at Tarry a While in August of 2024. I cannot say enough good things about this venue and their team. From the beginning we were treated like family, and I always felt incredibly supported throughout the planning process. The venue is absolutely stunning with multiple gorgeous photo op spots and thoughtful touches. Our guests that stayed on site had the best time swimming in the lake, watching the sunsets, and spending time together on the front porches of the cottages. We will absolutely be visiting Tarry a While for years to come as a family- can’t recommend them enough if you are looking for a classic Maine wedding venue.

Tarry A While Resort truly is an incredible place, especially if you're looking for a wedding venue like we did! My husband and I toured many spots around New England in search for a perfect lake-side venue for our wedding. I’m not kidding when I say the minute we drove onto the property we both had goosebumps and knew we had found our place. Not only is TAW directly on a gorgeous lake, but the rest of the grounds and lodging are in pristine condition, with many new upgrades that are absolutely beautiful. You also can’t beat the perk that the whole place can be reserved for your wedding celebration. From our first visit, Roseana and Dan were extremely personably, friendly, and warm. We initially worked primarily with Rosanna who was just fantastic answering all of our thousand questions and laying out what the venue would have to offer for our wedding, in an easy way to digest. Once we made the decision to make choosing TAW official, the process really was seamless. I’ve heard horror stories of how stressful the wedding coordination with venues can be, but we were fortunate to not have felt that one bit with TAW. The coordination and planning as we got closer was seamless, and that should say something considering we were up against a literal hurricane hitting on our exact wedding day! When we got closer to the date and were faced with this possibility, Roseana continued to remain in contact with us and then we had the absolute pleasure of meeting and working with Grace who helped brainstorm options and details. Roseana and Grace's support put our minds at complete ease. Thankfully the weather held-up and we were able to go with our original wedding itinerary plan! The entire time we were on property you could tell how much all of the staff care about TAW and want you to have a great experience. We also held a Sunday Brunch on site the next day and stayed an extra night to enjoy the property which was amazing. To this day, our guests continue to rave about how breathtaking the venue was, how comfortable they felt, how much fun they had, and how they’re already planning to book times to return as regular vacation guests (as are we). It is truly an honor to be able to say that TAW is forever a part of one of the most wonderful weekends of our lives. Do yourself a favor and reach out to them, even if it's just to stay for a weekend. You won't be disappointed!

Wow - what an incredible place Tarry A While is. I will be forever grateful to have found this gem because celebrating our wedding weekend there was an absolute dream. Working with Roseana and her team was a joy, and I cannot thank them enough for everything they did to make the weekend perfect. Everything ran smoothly thanks to their hard work and attention to detail. It seemed like any request I had they could make possible. Every single guest commented on how beautiful the space was, how delicious the food was, and how well everything was kept and run on the property. My family and I are already hoping to return in the years to come. If you are considering having your wedding here, or simply just visiting for a vacation, don't think twice - DO IT!!

Tarry a While Resort was the most perfect wedding venue we could’ve imagined! We booked it for our outdoor wedding in Bridgton, Maine in August 2023 and had an amazing weekend there. The venue itself is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been to, but what made it truly special were the owners and employees who made sure our wedding went perfectly. Roseana, Dan, and Grace were amazing throughout the whole process. They were super responsive and easy to communicate with, not just with us but with all our other vendors. Every vendor who interacted with them told us how amazing they were at responding and making sure everyone had what they needed. We visited the venue 4 times during the wedding planning process and every time we went, they made us feel at home. They were super flexible and accommodating of any requests we made to make our wedding be exactly what we pictured. The day of the wedding we still weren’t sure if it was going to rain, and they gave us until the last possible moment to decide whether we wanted to have our ceremony outside or under cover of the gazebo. Our dream was to have it outside (even though the gazebo is beautiful) and by giving us until the final moment to decide, we were able to see that the forecast no longer showed rain and we were able to have the wedding we had imagined. Overall, everyone was so helpful, professional, organized, and a joy to work with. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an unbelievable place to get married!
