Taste This Cake

My wife and I bought a beautiful and delicious wedding cake from Taste This Cake. We hope not to plan another wedding, but if we were planning another wedding we would go with Taste This Cake again in a heartbeat. Jamillah gave us the flexibility to choose different flavors for different tiers. She incorporated our design ideas into an artful and beautiful cake. Our guests told us over and over again how much they enjoyed it. My wife has a dairy sensitivity, so we asked to try the vegan buttercream. I was worried that the taste might be off without dairy, but it was fantastic. The guests didn't even notice the buttercream was vegan. Jamillah was also fantastic to work with. The wedding planning process was kind of stressful for us in general, but we were delighted and relieved every time we spoke with Jamillah. Her joyous personality and positive outlook lifted our spirits during our initial inquiry, the tasting, and conversations about cake decorations and even logistics.

Jamillah did SUCH a phenomenal job on our cake! Not only was it DELICIOUS, it was beautiful, too! Jamillah was so easy to work with- she was responsive to emails, and was so kind and friendly. We also ordered cookies to be given out at the end of the night, and got rave reviews! One person even said that they were the best cookies they've ever had. If you're looking for the best cake in Baltimore, look no further!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jamillah. Not only is she a wonderful and kind human being; but she is an amazingly talented baker. Her flavor combinations and confection creations are incredibly creative and delicious. It all started with my daughter’s cake tasting. Jamillah gives you different types of cake, different fillings, and different types of buttercream. Then you get to play around to create whatever combination suits your fancy. Then, she makes suggestions on how to make your ideas even better! Her cakes are incredible. Beautiful and delicious. Now that we’ve had her confections, we can’t eat baked goods from anyone else. We have had her make all the favors, cupcakes, and cookies for all of our events since meeting her! Highly recommend bringing Jamillah into your life!

Taste This Cake made the most delicious 3 tier multi flavor cake for our special occasion! From the moment I went for the tasting, Jamillah was warm and engaging. The set up for the tasting and experience was the best one out of all the places I tried. I'm the dessert person in our relationship so it was important for me to have a variety of options in terms of flavors. Taste This Cake has some amazing flavors and Jamillah is a genius with the combinations based on your occasion. I loved that I could give my concept for our wedding decor and Jamillah created a beautiful design that match our wedding vibe. I have guests still talking about our cake and my husband who is not a dessert person, after taking a bite during the cake cutting part of the wedding said to me...."wait where did you get this cake from again?" That made me smile because I knew I had made the best choice! Thank you again for our wonderful cake, your professionalism and warm personality.

Jamillah and Taste this Cake make the absolutely most delicious wedding cakes (and honestly, even the most delicious cakes) we have had in our entire lives. We cannot count the number of compliments we received on the cakes we had at our wedding. They were moist, delicious, beautiful, and elegant. She has such a wonderful knack for great flavors, absolute genius baking abilities, and creative ways to make the cakes a beautiful addition to the rest of the wedding decor. But, more incredible than that was Jamillah's kindness and thoughtfulness on our wedding day. She set such a lovely mood during the wedding setup - even as people were running around setting up, her warmth and joy were appreciated so much more than she'll ever know! The entire process, starting with the laid back and delicious cake tasting to the final bite of cake, was perfect. She was so fun to chat with, and her excitement about her work was infectious. We love Jamillah and Taste this Cake and would recommend her without a shadow of a doubt to anyone looking for delicious bakes for weddings or other events. Thank you, Jamillah!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jamillah and Taste This Cake. Jamillah made all the treats for my sister's wedding weekend and they were all amazing! From the moment we met her at the tasting, it was a great experience! Jamillah is so warm and welcoming, we liked her immediately. The tasting was so much fun as we got to experiment with different flavor combinations to create our own custom cake. Jamillah was so responsive throughout the process and worked hard to make sure all of her dream treats became a reality. She also makes each couple feel special and attended to throughout the process. From the cupcakes, to the cookie favors, to (most importantly) the cake, everything turned out amazingly. As soon as I got engaged, she was the first vendor I contacted. I can't wait to have my own Taste This Cake creations! I highly recommend Taste This Cake for any event!

Taste This Cake provided the desserts for our April 2018 wedding at Accelerator Space in Baltimore, MD. Jamillah, the owner, was one of the sweetest vendors we worked with, and worked so hard to make sure we got our vision for our desserts. My husband and I were beyond impressed with how our dessert table turned out. Through a few conversations, Jamillah fully understood the vibe of our day. Our cake was stunning and chic and fit the theme so well -- oh, and did I mention it was delicious! I wish I could tell you how good her bread pudding tasted, but it went so fast I didn't get a bite if that's any indication. I will absolutely work with Taste This Cake again, and will recommend them to anyone looking for a quality baker in Baltimore. Thank you Jamillah!!
