When food prices exploded during COVID, TOC reached out to us and let us know they would use the prices we agreed on when we signed our contract and absorb the extra cost. Again, we are SO happy we chose TOC for our wedding, and we highly recommend them!!!

and I were on a strict budget so we knew we needed to price out and make menu selections in the beginning without a tasting and the staff at T.O. was so helpful in pricing out a number of options and working within our needs. They understood exactly what we were looking for and delivered on every element--including my husband's crazy request to design our wedding cake to look like the NHL Stanley Cup. My venue also required a day of coordinator as part of the contract so we had the pleasure of working with Crystal before and day-of. As someone who plans events and is VERY Type-A, I did not feel the need to have a DOC, but let me tell you fellow brides--you NEED Crystal! From executing my design vision for decor, to ushering in guests in the pouring rain (not to mention keeping a bride calm when it pours on her wedding day) to rolling with the punches as seating charts changed, having Crystal allowed me to 100% disconnect from the details and enjoy the moments of my day and I know our wedding day would not have been the dream it was without her. As a Marylander who relocated to PA, she knew how important our cocktail hour crab cakes were to me and my husband, and she made sure we had as many as we wanted in our bridal suite for my husband and I while we took a break before the reception. It's the small things like this that truly show how much T.O. listens and cares about their couples. 11 out of 10 recommend Tasteful Occasions!

ve menu. We were able to completely customize our options - going with all passed appetizers for COVID reasons as well as a served buffet. From the beginning Tasteful Occasions made the wedding planning process easy. They even supply an awesome Google Doc that helps you plan the catering portion of your day but has prompts to fill in all of the rest of your details - this quickly became my go-to document when meeting with all of my other vendors as well. The food is excellent, the staff and service is prompt and to be honest if there were any issues or hiccups on the day of I never heard about them which is the best thing ever as a bride hosting a wedding.

o book another caterer, but once we went to the private tasting (which was so nicely done) we were sold. Their food is beautifully presented and had exactly what we were looking for. On top of that, Kim helped us plan the entire year by checking in and organizing every detail. While planning a wedding during Covid-19 isn't ideal, Kim literally saved our day by talking through small changes with us and helping us find bartenders and alcohol service when our bartender from another company backed out the week before. TO's staff was EXCELLENT at the wedding. They all checked in with Luke and I to make sure our glasses were full, we were eating and that we were taking time to enjoy the appetizers. I couldn't be more pleased with choosing Tasteful Occasions. They are so professional, on top of every detail, and were so much fun to work with. e paid for 4 extra servers (at $200 per server for 4 hours), but when we (the bridal party) came into the reception, and not receiving instruction or service, my new husband and I awkwardly walked to the catering area to find the servers sitting in a back room, screwing around, and caught by surprise. The food was honestly mediocre at best as well. We had the taco buffet, but it was comparable to chipotle, aside from cost...

Throughout the planning process, Kim and her team worked with us to coordinate all the details of the event, offer very helpful planning documents to help you coordinate your vendors and timeline, and day of you are provided with a staff member whose soul job is to tend to you and your partner's needs! 3) Reasonably priced! We received quotes from a few other caterers to compare, and T.O. was the most reasonable and we were able to have our dual plated seated dinner that we envisioned and remained within our budget! 4) Is able to work at any location. Our venue did not have an outdoor space for T.O. to work with and did not allow gas cooking indoors, and they were able to still figure out a method to serve 190 delicious dual entrée steak and chicken dishes that day. HIGHLY recommend!!

hat I wanted. Tasteful Occasions was the perfect caterer! We scheduled a tasting and explained that we wanted stations with four different types of comfort food, tacos, flatbread pizza, BBQ with macaroni and cheese, and a carving station with a mashed potato bar. It was amazing. Our appetizers were just as casual and delicious, including bite sized grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters, a corn chip scoop filled with buffalo chicken dip, and mini sliders. We were thrilled. We were also thrilled with the cake tasting. We couldn’t decide between three flavors, but Kim assured us we could do all three! We even asked for a cake flavor not on their tasting menu (cookies and cream) and they made it work! I uploaded a picture of a birch bark tree stump as a cake decor inspiration, and they did an excellent job creating it for us. Kim was very flexible and patient with our many emails back and forth as we tried to fit everything into our price range. She allowed us to sub out the champagne glasses for real wine glasses and was very helpful in choosing table linens and china patterns. The day of the wedding, the person in charge of attending to my husband and I was truly outstanding, making sure we had full drinks and water glasses to stay hydrated, even finding us upstairs in the loft to make sure we knew our dinner plates were waiting so they wouldn’t get cold. She made sure to pack us a doggy bag of the extra food and cake for us to take back with us to the hotel. I was so happy, since I was too busy during the reception to really enjoy the food and cake. Overall we had a great experience with Tasteful Occasions and would recommend them to anyone!

r guests! We had 4 dinner options including vegetarian and each one was delicious, and given that we did a seated dinner for around 150 guests, they all came out together and perfectly cooked! My dream was to have s’mores at our wedding and they helped make that possibility with a s’mores bar. In addition their waitstaff and bartenders took great care of us! They even had the staff make sure my husband and I always had a drink if we wanted one! I would absolutely recommend Tasteful Occasions to cater your wedding as I know they will do a great job!

After we chose, we actually changed our minds (originally we wanted to do a stationary appetizer display and butler-ed hors d'oeuvres but decided against the stationary display) and Kim was very helpful with making sure we had exactly what we wanted within our budget. On the wedding day EVERYONE commented about how great the food was INCLUDING our photographer (she also raved about how thoughtful they were - as the staff making sure they had enough food and at the right time). They truly catered to us. Their staff was amazing. They had people who solely looked out for us to make sure we had enough food (they even took our food back to make sure it would be warm when we ate since we were still talking with guests when our table was first served) and drinks (they asked if we wanted a refill as soon as our cup was empty). Everyone was so nice, friendly, and thoughtful. Kim even remembered a comment that my husband made about desserts so she made sure to bring him a specific treat that wasn't actually part of our dessert table. We are EXTREMELY glad we went with Tasteful Occasions and we highly recommend them!!!

Come the day of the wedding, Kim, Mickey and the entire Tasteful Occasions staff did it ALL. From décor set up, to ceremony coordinating, to bartending and food, they made our day so seamless and wonderful. EVERYONE absolutely loved our food. From the appetizers and the dinner buffet, to the milk and cookie and ice cream sundae bar and the late night pretzels, everything was absolutely perfect. Kim made sure to give me a big hug before my walk down the aisle and to assure me that everything was coming together! She was also constantly checking on me and Willy to see if we needed anything throughout the entire reception. Mickey, our day of coordinator, was just as wonderful. From months of planning, to the last dance, Mickey was with us. She put all of our minds at ease as she walked us through the rehearsal, and was with us every step of the way as we said “I do”. After the ceremony, she stayed by our side through the introductions, toasts and dances. We could always count on her to keep us smiling. Throughout the day and night, Mickey could always be found checking in on not only us, but our bridal party and parents to make sure that we were having a great time and to see if there was ANYTHING we needed. While the Tasteful Occasions team was cleaning up and carefully packing up everything for us, Mickey was making sure all of our guests got safely on the shuttle to our hotel. We didn’t have to lift a finger…they packed everything we needed to take with us into our parents’ cars at the end of the night. There was a moment during our reception that Willy and I had a chance to take everything in, just the two of us. All we kept saying was “thank god for Mickey and Kim”. This team is truly something special, and we could not have imagined anyone else in our corner on what was easily the best day of our lives.

DELICIOUS. All night long my guests were telling me how amazing the mashed potatoes were (they were also my favorite). They were so attentive throughout the night making sure my husband and I were ok or needed a drink. They were so courteous to our guests as well. Their bartenders were AMAZING. So many guests kept saying how impressed they were that the bartenders remembered what everyone was drinking and would have it ready as soon as they saw them approaching the bar. The cherry on top was the cake they made. It was incredible. All in all, I would recommend them to anyone!

She made up dinner plates for Joe and I so we didn't have to go up to the buffet (score!), and made sure our glasses were full all night with whatever drinks we wanted! She was so accommodating, professional and friendly to work with. Everyone that we worked with at Tasteful Occasions was wonderful, and really helped put our minds at ease. We got tons of compliments on how delicious the food was – the super tender brisket and the sweet potato soufflé were big hits! We would highly recommend Tasteful Occasions for your next event!

Of course timing at a wedding never goes to plan and there was a bit of chaos but Kim and Mickey handled it all with professionalism and ease. I never had a chance to worry about anything because Mickey and Kim had it handled before I even thought about it! I had written a few notes and gone over the floor plan with both Mickey and Kim but seeing the final result of their decorating, of everything they did to make our wedding a reality, it brings tears to my eyes. There are pictures of Mickey helping my bridal team get ready, helping my husband get his boutonnière on. She came to the rescue with some serious double sided tape for one of my bridesmaids. I'm sure there are other stories i'm going to keep hearing about how Mickey and Kim made our day look flawless. I wish I could hug Kim and Mickey every time I look at my wedding photos because they kept us moving, they made everything look like my dreams and I cannot thank them enough. Hiring Mickey as our day of coordinator was such a blessing, we wouldn't have made it through without her or the rest of the Tasteful Occasions staff. They felt like family. I am so grateful for the sincere care they took in my wedding day. I wish I could hire them for my day to day! Delicious food, great service, amazing, friendly, super people!!!

The prep prior to the wedding day was much needed and helps a bride stay on top of tasks. The food was delicious!! We still have people talking about the food from our wedding, not to mention several people the day of showed up their cleared plates! They are the best!!

During the planning process, Kim was always readily available by phone or email to put me at ease and made sure our cocktail hour and reception was perfect! The food and desserts were delicious and were raved about by all of our guest. I would highly recommend Tasteful Occasions! Thank you again for the most amazing day and experience of our life! :)

ur wedding, she was THE BEST! She always had a drink of water or a beer ready for us and was extremely attentive. I believe she also does wedding planning and I can see her being an excellent planner, as well. The servers and bartenders also got excellent reviews from the guests. Unfortunately, I cannot give 5 stars because the dinner was very mediocre, verging on sub-par. We did a dessert table and it was great, as were the butlered appetizers. However, that's as far as it went with the food. My wife and I didn't enjoy the entrees both at the tasting and at the reception, but we are just two people. In addition, we received no comments about the food being good and so I began asking asking around about it, and sure enough, many guests had similar things to say about the entrees. I tried all but one of the entrees on the wedding day, and although they seemed cooked to temp, they were very bland and lackluster. Many guests commented that their food arrived cold, they had no dressing on their salads, among other blunders. I really don't want to be harsh, but the vegetarian dish, pasta with vodka sauce, was actually verging on inedible. Again, I thought Kim & the servers did such a fantastic job in all other aspects. You can really appreciate her professionalism, organization, and dedication to make your event great, but the food is the biggest indicator for a catering company, and I was very disappointed with it. Because of this, I would not use Tasteful Occasions again if I had to redo the event.

On our wedding day, Kim made sure we were able to enjoy all of our food (including during cocktail hour when things were crazy), provided a non-stop drink service (seriously, as soon as my cup was empty she was there with another one!), and made our guests feel welcome and taken care of! She continually checked in on my husband and me to make sure we had everything we needed. Our guests could not get enough of how great the food was and how friendly the staff was! We were so thankful for all of it! The food is amazing and the service is even better! INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE OVERALL!!!

I knew I could ask her a million questions and recommendations (because I did!) and she patiently guided my husband and I through every detail. The food was delicious, and we were very happy with them. I recommend Kim, and her very creative menu and team to help make your day that much more special. Your guests will not regret it! :)

ridiculous questions. She was incredibly flexible as we dealt with families with totally different tastes and made everything come together flawlessly. Kim always made herself available to me, even texting me the night before the wedding, again, answering my senseless questions and making me feel at ease. All of my family and friends were shocked at how calm I was, considering there was a hurricane coming through the area on our wedding weekend...but I kept telling them I had nothing to worry about because I knew Kim had everything under control. Mickey, our ceremony coordinator, was also wonderful! Spending time with me on the phone going over our unconventional wedding ceremony and offering advice. She even wrote up a rehearsal script for us since she was unable to attend our rehearsal. The food was wonderful, the bartenders were great, the servers were lovely...cannot say a bad thing about Tasteful Occasions! Thank you again Kim and Mickey for making our wedding day absolutely perfect!

Kim wasn't pushy with the services that her company can offer and you can choose to have them do everything or select certain things, which was what we did and I don't know of other caterers that would allow you to do that. The food was delicious and our guests could not stop talking about their signature mashed potatoes! I loved our entire menu and they were able to offer a lot of vegetarian options, my favorite being the vodka tortellini. Their staff was very professional and Maria, my reception coordinator, was frequently checking in with me to see if I needed anything. I really appreciated how flexible they were because after our ceremony, it started to rain and we had to have our guests gather in the reception tent earlier than planned but the transition happened seamlessly. I would highly recommend Tasteful Occasions for any event but especially for a wedding because they helped make it easy! Thank you for being a part of our wedding!

Where they really shined though was how they handled some unexpected issues (people who had lent us items decided to remove them that day - including tables, drink dispensers, candy jars, cake stand, etc) on our wedding day. Once Kim realized what was happening, she took charge and working with our venue (Historic Shady Lane) found a solution to every issue that presented itself. We were blissfully unaware to most of the issues and upon seeing everything we never would have even known there had been a problem in the first place. Every penny we spent was well worth it for the delicious food and peace of mind that everything was in good hands. We cannot say enough about how happy we are to have chosen Tasteful Occasions!

After the tasting I knew I had made the right choice because my fiancé and I could not stop talking about how amazing everything she made us that day was! On the day of the wedding Kim went above and beyond by bringing my husband and I appetizers and wine while we were getting some pictures after the ceremony. She was so tentative all night long making sure we both had food, or a glass of water, or a drink in our hand. She also made an AMAZING mojito as my signature drink, I had multiple guests raving to me about it! All in all a perfect day and Kim and her team were a big part of making it that way :)

The owner, Kim Hernandez, was extremely diligent at answering our questions and helping us to create our travel themed station style menu. We chose foods from all of the countries we visited, including bratwursts, Shepard's pie, mashed potato bar, flat bread pizza, chicken and beef fajitas, and -- of course -- fresh-made crepes. Kim and her staff were attentive to our every need during the wedding and even helped our wedding coordinator setup and cleanup for a small additional charge. Everyone knows that receiving lines can be long and boring; but the serving staff ensured that all of our guests were taken care of with butlered hors d'oeuvres and signature drinks. Kim personally made sure that my husband and I consistently had full glasses and bites of food for those few free moments that we were able to eat. The guests loved our creative menu and the food was delicious beyond our expectations. Please consider Tasteful Occasions for your next event. My husband and I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed!

nu changes, and made the day of the wedding go smoothly. The food was absolutely amazing. We had a mix of Mexican and Italian (tacos, fajitas, chicken Alfredo, veggie penne, and sausage with salads). Everyone loved the food and it was served professionally. Kim had a great group of people work at the wedding and she set up so many things that we needed that day as well as helped us replenish things such as the candy bar and cupcakes. I would recommend Tasteful Occasions to anyone!
