Not only are the cakes beautiful, but they are so so SO tasty. Again, many compliments about how yummy it was. We also ordered vegan and gluten free cupcakes and I heard from friends and family (even those who were not vegan/GF) that they were fantastic. In that vein - don't be shy to ask the staff which flavors to get. The baker we spoke with was really honest about which flavors (especially from their vegan/GF menus) were best. Thanks for making our day extra special!

They have tons of examples that support their intricate cake decorating skills. On the day of, the delivery went smooth with no complications. The actual cake was incredible. It was moist and we could not get enough of the frosting. My guests complimented the cake ALL night long. The cake was decorated just how we envisioned it. It was truly “Pinterest Perfect!” It was such a pleasure working with the staff of Tasty Layers. We will always remember our wedding cake and how delicious it was!

red 70 extra cupcakes & only had 1 dozen left over, so they were definitely a hit. Our cutting cake was decorated so simply, yet beautifully just as we wanted. They did a fabulous job with everything and thankfully they are only 20 minutes away so we can have more cupcakes whenever we like.

I was so scared having so many extra pieces of cake because a few of my married friends told me to order less cake than the number of people because we would end up with so much cake leftover. When I realized that at least 20 people who had RSVPed as attending the wedding did not actually show up, I was so scared we were gonna have a ton of cake left over! In the end, we only had about 15 pieces left. The cake was so moist and so tasty that a lot of people ate two slices. We got so many compliments from people about how awesome the cake looked and how delicious it was. The cake looked exactly how we envisioned it, and it was tastier than any cake I've ever had!

right up until about a week before my wedding. Apparently I was supposed to make my final payment 2 weeks before the wedding date. As a typical bride these days I was working and finishing up some classes and going out of my mind with wedding craziness and forgot to call in on the date we had set up, 6 months prior to the wedding. I got a call one week before the day and spoke with a very rude women who told me herself that due to an oversight on their part she needed my payment immediately or I would not be receiving my cupcakes. I was completely fine with it, however I told her that I needed to make some changes. She told me if I needed to make changes I should have called them the previous week. I reminded her that she just said Tasty Layers forgot to comfirm with me as well and I needed to clarify exactly what I was receiving. She then rudely asked me what it was I wanted to change. I replied as calmly as I could that I would need less cupcakes. Now even though this store has cupcakes in stock, the very same ones I was ordered, she made a federal case about the change. I told her that the person who set things up with me told me all plans are tentative until about a week or two before the wedding. Anyway after calling me back and some attitude being thrown around we got the amount straitened out and no harm done. I then get a call saying I never paid my delivery fee and I need to pay that as well. I asked her when that should have been paid. She told me about 6 months prior. I then became upset. If I follow the process and go along with their schedule and then they want to add extra fees last minute and not keep on top of their information it is not my problem. I asked her much it was. She then proceeded to tell me that their was a $95 delivery fee to set up the cake and then it was .51 a mile as well and separate cupcake fee. I said, "I have one tiny tier and a few dozen cupcakes how it that going to equal out to be almost $200!? There is almost nothing to set up and that is ridiculous" Of course I paid it all and shut my mouth, I had no choice! They waited until the week of my wedding to let me know their "reasonable prices" are surrounded by extra hidden fees and they cannot do good customer service. The cupcakes were delicious. My advice pick them up yourself!

al, the cake was not dry, presentation was beautiful and every single piece was eaten. I was a little surprised by the cost per slice, and if you chose a "premium" flavor filler or cake it was even more. So we stuck to the basics, which still included coconut filling, but it was pretty exspensive still. All in all I buy my cake from them all over again, even with the cost, it was that delicious!

on, it started to cave in on itself. We had to RUN over to the cake table in order to cut it before it fell. Very disappointed it didn't hold up.

Our top layer - which we are theoretically freezing for our 1st anniversary but we had to eat a piece first! - is Devils Food with peanut butter filling...AMAZING! They have a ton of photos of past cakes online and they are gorgeous. We did just a plain buttercream frosting (no fondant) with dots and swirl designs in the icing and fresh flowers tucked between the tiers and arranged on top. My florist provided loose flowers and the baker placed them throughout the cake - it was gorgeous and tasted great!

lly had the baker rig a system so we had a broach mounted on our center tier. It was beyond beautiful and we displayed it as the central focus of our reception hall room. The cake tasted like little slices of heaven too! We went for only 2 tastings and each time we walked out of their bakery with at least 2 dozen cupcakes in the flavors that they offer for their wedding cakes. Everyone went back for seconds!

le cake! I worked weddings for 6 years, I've tried A LOT of wedding cakes. This was one of the best I'd ever had. We did not have a single extra slice of cake at the end of the night. So many guests and some of my other vendors requested her information. I also loved my unique, personalized design. It was everything I had imagined! I only wish we'd had extra to take home!
