I am glad you found the dress beautiful and it really was. The “Flaps” that you referred to on the sides of the dress, are Silk Chiffon Panels that were on the sample as well. This is the dress that you picked out based on the sample. I asked you to bring your shoes, so we could hem accordingly and make sure that it was comfortable enough for you to walk in and you agreed. Everyone is different, I understand that and on the day of some brides prefer shorter or longer trains. But most wedding gowns have trains as do all of my sample gowns. “Tatyana does not do bustles” - this is False. I asked if you wanted the clear button in the back of the gown. I added the little loops inside the longest chiffon panels seams of the gown, that you can loop around your wrist or the clear button. We decided the wrist band looked more elegant, and you walked around the studio practicing, making sure you where comfortable. I always use a delicate Satin ribbon, so it blends in with the skirt. This is also absolutely Not True: “I begged Tatyana to raise the dress. I spent hours talking to her about it”. If you felt the Silk Charmeuse Slip was too low cut for you, I would have gladly raised the straps or made you a new slip, no questions asked. No one ever begged me, and I would never even allow my clients to beg me for anything. If my client is not happy, I am right there to make the change, no questions asked. I would Never argue with my client. I pride myself on my One on One relationship with all of my brides. I wanted the dress to be Comfortable first and foremost, for my bride. And yes of course beautiful! And Flattering and Special! To look good in real life AND on pictures. As for practicality, everyone has different levels and it is up to the Bride to make that decision. I always listened to you and gave you my professional opinion and Never pressured you into anything. You came to my studio several times and I was always there to accommodate your needs. Maybe the style of the dress was not the right fit for you. Maybe you needed a more practical gown, like the top with much more coverage and Crepe skirt you where looking at from the beginning. Or the other more covered Crepe dress your mom recommended that did not have any chiffon skirt, that you found very unpractical for the day of your wedding.
