This is a long overdue review of the most incredible photographer in Charleston. Taylor shot our engagement and wedding photos, and we could not have asked for more fun, positive, loving experiences with both. I came across Taylor on a social media post, and from the moment we met with her and got to know each other, something just “clicked,” and I knew that she was the one who would capture our memories in the most extraordinary ways. During our engagement session, we had so much fun at Folly Beach, just being ourselves and making each other laugh and smile. I appreciated that Taylor gave so much direction while allowing us to be our natural selves and let our personalities come through each shot. That was my first time taking professional photos, and Taylor made me feel like I was a professional. Our engagement photos turned out unique and beautiful! I have no idea how she does her magic with shooting and editing, but her work is flawless. As it got closer to the wedding, I appreciated that Taylor would take the time to meet with me and not only discuss the plans for the wedding but also check in to see how I was doing with the general stress of being a bride. I felt like she genuinely cared about us as a couple and helped me to keep my perspective of what’s important - our love and marriage - in the forefront. I could not have asked for a better experience regarding the actual wedding. Taylor was so organized and on top of everything. She was incredibly professional the entire day, kept us on schedule with our timeline, and captured all the requested moments and more. Our families also adored her, and she is now an honorary member! It was such a beautiful day to remember! Again, I felt like my husband, and I could be our natural selves, and Taylor would work her magic at our venues. We felt so comfortable with Taylor in every part of our day. When we got our photos back (sooner than expected for wedding photos), we were utterly blown away, actually moved to tears, by how amazing and beautiful they were! She captured every moment perfectly, especially that day's roller coaster of emotions. Our family and friends loved every single photo. I can only say how grateful we are to Taylor for giving us the gift of memories we will cherish forever. I feel so blessed to have found Taylor during this time in my life. I can’t say enough praises about what an absolute pleasure it was to work with her, her insane photography talent, and the photos I can’t wait to hang up in our home. You will not regret hiring her as your photographer! She will go above and beyond and make your experience as unique as it should be! There are not enough words to describe just how amazing Taylor is! You can see through every picture she takes how much joy she is able to create and capture. My husband and I are from Virginia and traveled to do our engagement session before our ceremony a few months later and was 110% worth it. We will always continue to travel to her now for any of our photography needs. During our engagement session, we had our son with us and she was super accommodating and SO patient. Besides the fact that her work is incredible, Taylor is such a bright and joyful person to be around. She made us feel so comfortable and strives to make personal connections with everyone. She is super sweet and went above and beyond our expectations. Our ceremony day went by extremely smooth thanks to her efficient timeline for photos. We went over what we were wanting and she made it happen. I also had decided to book a boudoir shoot and would do it all over again with the confidence that she is able to create for people. Her work and kind words have made me loved how I look in front of a camera. I cannot thank her enough for all the beautiful moments she was able to capture for us to look back on for many years to come. We absolutely adore Taylor!

I highly recommend hiring Taylor. Her photos are filled with joy and light, she has a great eye for detail, and most importantly she has the best personality. My husband hates taking photos, but even he admitted to having fun after our engagement and wedding shoots with Taylor. Shooting with Taylor is like hanging out with a trusted friend. She is the best hype woman and makes you feel so confident with her calming, enthusiastic, and authoritative presence. Her friendliness enabled us to relax, and she was able to capture the essence of our relationship and personalities in the photos. No stiff, cheesy, or awkwardly posed photos here! Taylor is organized, proactive, and communicative - a true professional in addition to being a talented creative. I'd hire her again in a heartbeat.

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin?! We recently used Taylor as our elopement photographer and what an absolute JOY she was to work with! From the very first email sent, she was easy to communicate with and very prompt in her replies. Everything about the booking process was simple & clear cut. The day of, she arrived and was so easy going, and just overall comfortable to be around. Our pictures came out SO beautiful and better then I could have ever imagined. Her style has such a romantic, timeless look. Literally everyone who has seen our pictures has commented on how well the photos turned out. She is SO talented. Whether you are having an intimate ceremony with just the two of you, or a big wedding, do yourself a favor and use Taylor! We will cherish our wedding pictures for forever <3

Currently trying to find the right words to express how grateful I am for Taylor. Her talent behind the lens paired with her genuine personality is what you need for a wedding day. She makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera by giving you the right direction and captures the most magical, candid moments you will cherish forever. She will make you forget the stresses of the day and remind you to refocus your energy on what's important.

Taylor was absolutely genuine and friendly. Hiring her for our wedding was the best decision we made. Trying to coordinate a wedding from out of state was a challenge but she was responsive to all of my emails and her advice and guidance was invaluable. She is professional which such a warm demeanor you couldn't possibly help but feel comfortable in front of the camera. She is incredibly talented and captures the purest moments. I am the least photogenic person and yet she captured photos that made me feel beautiful. I don't think I'll ever forget and will always sincerely appreciate, her calmness the day of. She helped keep me focused on the small details that in the organized chaos I would have overlooked. She was always kind and patient even when gathering extended family for photos which was similar to herding cats. If I could go back and redo my wedding, I would still 100% hire her to be our wedding photographer. I promise it will be the best decision you make and the one you will never regret.

There really just aren't words good enough. I can't imagine a more perfect disposition for a wedding photographer. Her work speaks for itself. Her shots are gorgeous and genuine but then you meet her and it turns out that she's gorgeous and genuine too. Taylor has a calming presence, a happy smile, and she's sincerly tickled to be with you. She gives subtle directions and encouraging words so you don't feel silly in front of her camera. She gets more and more excited as she takes pictures! Taylor felt like an old friend instantly and it makes the whole process fun and silly and it's own happy memory of your wedding day. She promptly sent back the biggest, most beautiful collection of photos from our wedding and I'm not quite sure how she managed to be in so many places at the same time. We're elated with our pictures. They're so warm and timeless that we actually feel lucky to be the people in them. Taylor is a jewel. If she's available on your day, you should go ahead and claim her. She's SO worth it.

Taylor is AMAZING! She did engagement photos, a boudoir shoot, and wedding photos for me and I could not be happier with the results! Taylor is easy going, knowledgeable, and her turnaround for edited photos is extremely fast! We plan on using Taylor from here on out!

AMAZING. One of the best wedding decisions I made was selecting Taylor as our photographer. She is simply the BEST. My husband and I also did an engagement session with her and we were overjoyed with our photos. She also does tasteful boudoir and bridal sessions, that I now wish I would have done with her. Not only is Taylor exceptional in regards to her talents, but she is also an absolute joy to work with. Everyone seems to love to work with her. Originally I was worried that being photographed could seem awkward or intimidating, but Taylor was able to put us at ease and make the photo sessions so much fun! She made my husband and myself feel so comfortable and in our own skins while she was photographing us. At times we forgot she was there! She is so personable and I had other vendors mention how much they love working with her. My family and friends kept commenting how wonderful she was to work with on the wedding day. She is easy going, but also I felt confident in her ability to lead us through the photos that day. I never felt like we were stressed and rushing with our photos. Her timeline was perfect and we were able to capture so many beautiful and stunning photos. I never felt that she missed an opportunity for a good shot. A videographer was not in the budget for us, and I thought I would maybe regret not having one for our special day. I have no regrets now because of Taylor's extraordinary work. It is amazing to me how she managed to capture so many details of that day. We did not need a videographer because of her. Our photos meant so much to us. Taylor was able to create the most beautiful images while at the same time capturing who my husband and I are. You see our personalities through our photos. Not one of our photos seem posed or corny. I would strongly recommend Taylor as a photographer. I cannot praise her talents and her character enough.

Taylor is the best! We got our pictures back last night (a week and half after our wedding - a quick turnaround!) and can't get enough of them! She made us feel comfortable the whole day, and was extremely professional. I mentioned to my husband that she makes you feel like you are the best photos she has ever taken - a good way to feel on your wedding day! We also did engagement photos with her, which I definitely recommend. It helped us feel more comfortable, and gave us a good "test run" of how wedding day photos would turn out! Taylor did a beautiful job with our engagement and wedding photos. Her style fit us so perfectly, they are just naturally lovely photos that beautifully captured us, and our family members. Taylor was excellent to work with, friendly, calm, and fun on our wedding day. She was responsive and flexible in the planning process, and we received our photos within a month of our wedding (what a treat!). My husband and I hired Taylor as our wedding photographer. I can say enough could things about Taylor! She is a fantastic photographer and consistently goes above and beyond for her clients. She has a very upbeat and positive attitude and provided us with so many beautiful images to remember our wedding day. She was more than happy to drive my husband and I from the church to our photo site downtown and spend the afternoon working on our beautiful couples photos. She is extremely talented and passionate about wedding photography, I can't recommend her enough!

We first fell in love with Taylor and her photography style when she was the photographer at a family member's wedding in Charleston. When it came to planning our own, Taylor was our first call. She photographed both our engagement photos and our wedding. My husband and myself are not very comfortable in front of the camera and Taylor knew just how to capture our best qualities while making it such an enjoyable experience. Just as I knew they would, our wedding party and family couldn't stop talking about how much fun it was taking the photos before and after the ceremony. At our wedding, she brought an assistant who took photos alongside her. I loved seeing all of the different angles and points of view from each set of photos. Although I could talk about her beautiful photos forever, I have to mention how wonderful she is to work with. She provided advice, timelines and guidance. She always kept in touch during the planning process and was quick to reply to emails. I highly recommend Taylor Rae Photography!

We cannot say enough about Taylor & her photography. My fiancé and I had our engagement pictures taken by Taylor and cannot express how pleased we were with the entire process! We felt comfortable throughout the entire session and our pictures were edited BEAUTIFULLY within a couple of weeks,. One thing that stands out about Taylor is that you can tell there is more to it than photography for her. She genuinely cares about who she is photographing and their story!

I love Taylor- she's amazing at what she does! Taylor was a dream to work with! Her photos are truly stunning. She captured so many special moments, both of us and our guests: the pride in our parents faces, the looks we gave each other, my husband’s face as I walked down the aisle, my dad’s first look at my dress, and our guests amazing dance moves. She was unobtrusive during the ceremony and reception but also a joy to be around. We instantly felt comfortable around her, as did our entire bridal party. She’s professional, organized, and efficient with group photos. We got every photo we could have wanted, and we didn’t spend our entire day taking pictures. She was extremely responsive with her communication and sent us the full picture gallery much quicker than we expected. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Taylor is, and I HIGHLY recommend Taylor Rae Photography!

Taylor was incredible when she photographed our Destination Wedding in Portugal! She was the only vendor I decided to hire from the US, but it was the best decision we made. Taylor was so responsive the months coming up to our wedding with any questions or concerns. We decided to go with Taylor because she photographed our proposal in Charleston and we had an outstanding experience with her. On our wedding day, she was prompt and so pleasant! I didn't have to worry or ask her to take any specific photos the morning of my wedding, she just knew what to do and took all the getting ready photos we wanted. She took a ton of photos that I would have never thought of that came out so beautifully and now I couldn't imagine not having! She worked so well with our wedding planners the videographer we hired from Portugal, it made everything so easy! We've loved Taylor's style from the beginning, the photos are bright, beautiful and capture emotions perfectly. We were so in love with our venue and she was able to the gorgeous details in every shot. We received our photos so quickly after the wedding and were even able to get a couple of sneak peeks before we received them all. We've gotten a ton of compliments on the photos since we've shared them, everyone asks us how we're able to pick favorites from our photos because they're all so perfect! Thank you Taylor for coming to Portugal and taking outstanding photos to document our perfect day!

Taylor did an absolute stunning job with our wedding. We were lucky enough to use her for our engagement photos as well and each time she makes you feel so comfortable and natural. Taylor was absolutely wonderful! She was so personable and easy to be around and took beautiful shots for our wedding. She took full use of all of our locations and gave us a great variety of photos and helped preserve our wedding day.
