Taylored Photo Memories

Its hard to express my gratitude for McKenzi in words. She truly did the most exceptional job taking our wedding photos. She caught every precious moment, (and then some) she was able to capture our personality and our love for each other in every shot and really took the most amazing photos of our wedding -- better than our wildest dreams. It takes not only a true professional to this but someone who is passionate about their work - McKenzi and Taylored Photo Memories has it ALL. She takes her job very seriously (as being in charge of catching life's most precious moments) but also has a way about her that is so fun, light hearted and just all around awesome. Thank you McKenzi from the bottom of our heart for capturing our day to its fullest potential. We will be forever grateful to have these memories for the rest of our days.

We hired Taylored Photo Memories to do our Wedding Photos, however, McKenzi had other obligations on our day of...so, she hired another photographer (Alison Henrie) for us. I'm not sure if it would have turned out better having McKenzi, in the end she stood behind some pretty crappy pictures that were taken by her employee. We had the photographer for 4 hours, and we got about 300 photos, and about 10-15 that I would actually be ok with downloading and using. We paid for the copyright, which was definitely not worth it, when you only have about 4% of your pictures turn out somewhat decent. There was very little editing done with color, etc. The only editing done was turning the pictures into black and white. No cropping or editing of colors from what we could tell. No cool color effects or anything. Quite a few of the original pictures were taken so far away, or not zoomed in at all, so when cropped the they became blurry, and you couldn't even recognize the subjects in the pics. Specifically the ones of just myself and the groom. When we asked her to re-touch some of the photos, I looked ridiculous, like not even close to what I truly look like! Which, I assume the editing was done by McKenzi herself? so maybe it would have been a flop either way. The worst part is that the group pictures with the entire wedding party or family members all turned out like crap, there was no uniformity in any of the pictures. There was no direction from the professional photographer for us to stand closer together, or facing certain direction, or what to do with our hands, etc.. So, all the pictures look goofy! Being in the picture, you don't get to see what you look like, that is one of the reasons you hire a professional, so you can get a good picture, where we don't look goofy or have awkward poses/postures! The most disappointing part of the whole thing is that there are hardly any good shots of myself and the groom. They are all too far away, or my husband is slouching, or I am standing so I look super wide, bad angles, and bad lighting. I think the reason I was so upset and disappointed with the service is because McKenzi seemed awesome when I talked to her on the phone, I thought everything was going to go great. Based on her portfolio I thought that there would be some creative shots that captured our natural emotions on our big day, but there was no attempt to capture that. And maybe if we would have actually gotten McKenzi instead of her employee, it would have gone better. But, who knows. Alison was super nice, and fun to have along, but she just wasn't assertive enough to make sure we looked good in the pics she was taking, and she wasn't very creative in capturing natural emotions.

McKenzi is amazing!! From the first email I sent McKenzi to our final hug goodbye, everything was seamless, easy and everything I had hoped for. McKenzi contacted the Neon Museum and Red Rock to book our ceremony and photoshoots for me and on our wedding day, she took the role of coordinator by contacting our officant earlier in the morning and speaking to the limo driver to ensure that they were all on the same page. I just love how organized and assured she was (she obviously has tons of experience doing this) and I knew I could trust her. And now the photos....blown away! She is truly a highly skilled photographer who has an incredible eye which allowed her to capture MANY beautiful moments - it will be difficult to narrow our favorites down. She directed us with confidence and even managed to get my stiff husband to open up ;) We are left with these intimate moments on film forever and even better, so strikingly captured. Oh and we are from Toronto, Canada and organizing from a distance was no issue! Again, super easy with McKenzi! Thanks again....I can't stop looking at the photos.

McKenzi is amazing! She was our photographer for both our engagement shoot (Jan 2015) and our wedding (Sept 2015) and we could not have been any happier with the photos! She took the time to get to know us before suggesting locations for pictures to make sure that where we went would match our personalities. In general she is very responsive to email/text and is an open communicator- I like that she was open to any ideas for photos that we had during our sessions rather than taking the "I'm the photographer, I know best" approach. She worked so well with our timeline and was just extremely easy to work and coordinate with! We always felt comfortable working with her, it was never awkward. We would absolutely recommend her as a photographer! For our engagement shoot we went to Red Rock Canyon and hiked in about a mile to a beautiful area (she made sure we'd be okay with the hike ahead of time, of course!) and even though we only paid for an hour long session, we were not charged for the extra time driving in and hiking to and from the spot she recommended. A side note- McKenzi worked really well with our videographer making sure the lighting and positioning worked well for both of them. I appreciated that as I've been to wedding where this has not been the case. One reviewer said all the editing done was making some pictures black and white, but I'm not sure what else they were wanting? She does professional touch ups on the 'favorites' that you select from your album and I was very happy with everything we received from her. She was very prompt, even early, for all our meetings. I also did not find her to be short of ideas. She used the best poses for each setting and also has a 'go with the flow' mentality to see a lot of natural shots. Thank you for perfectly capturing our wedding, McKenzi! We will (and already have) refer you to anyone we know looking for a photographer in Vegas.

We had McKenzi shoot both our engagement photos and our wedding and I couldn't be happier. We did both shoots outdoors and she did such an amazing job of incorporating the beautiful scenery in our photos. I had kids, a dog, and a husband that hates being in photos and she did great with all three :) Flexible, personable, and truly talented. Highly recommended. Thank you!

McKenzi was great all round. She was patient and flexible and the best photos from our wedding day were McKenzi's. She made everything easy and our photos look so natural and relaxed. Thanks for helping preserve our wedding day so beautifully.
