Teal Street Band

Our band (formerly Teat Street Band) has been playing private parties and quality venues throughout New England for the past 12 years. The pandemic got us thinking about the future and we’ve decided to bring our energy and passion to a totally new level by creating a tribute to the best of 80’s NEW WAVE music. Our new tribute band is called “Skinny Tie Revival” and features music from artists like The Cars, Kim Wilde, ‘Til Tuesday, Belinda Carlisle, Soft Cell, Simple Minds, Cutting Crew, Joe Jackson, The B-52’s, Nena, Golden Earring, The Cure and many others! MTV would launch in 1981 and would forever change the way we consumed music. Bands and artists learned how to present themselves in this new visual medium. Superstars emerged like Madonna, Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, and Blondie. They experienced a level of fame and success not seen since Elvis Presley and the Beatles. These stars influenced fashion through their music videos, giving fans a firsthand glimpse into emerging trends. Their songs set the gold standard for what pop music should be, and through constant reinvention they were able to navigate the pop culture world and keep themselves relevant. Many years later, they are still the standard that today’s pop stars are compared to. Skinny Tie Revival will take you back to this decade through the very best of 80’s NEW WAVE music and create a party experience your guests will remember for years to come.
