Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite

had to have a venue that allow dogs (we were not going to get married without our little PUG!), the venue has to be in the mountains (hubby and I love hiking and the outdoors), convenient where ceremony and reception (and preferably rooms for guests) are all in one place, and one that fits within our budget. Our wedding day was on June 18, 2022 and it was the definition of MAGICAL. The staff were friendly and accommodating. At first, our ceremony site was at the Counties patio (still beautiful but I was really hoping for the Terrace but was unavailable at the time). They told us to keep checking, in case the Terrace will become available. Month after month, I would email them and check. Until about 3 months before the wedding, they told us that the Terrace was available! The Terrace captured everything we love: trees, mountains, skies. Special shoutout to Sonya (the wedding coordinator). She was PHENOMENAL and on point on everything. She made the day go smoothly and less-stress for us. I was so strongly decided on not having a wedding coordinator during our early planning. Mainly because of budget reasons and we were only having a small intimate wedding. Me and my fiancé did all the planning, from choosing vendors and food to decors to timelines. Things have gotten harder for us, thinking how are we going to make sure that things go smoothly as there are so many things to happen on the actual wedding day. We had the opportunity to meet with Sonya 6 months before our wedding, and she totally gave us the confidence that she will be there on the day to make sure things go well. She answered all the questions that we had in mind, even before we could blurt them out! During the rehearsal and wedding day, she was phenomenal. Even my guests were so amazed by how she made it look so easy. I was so thankful that she was there, making sure my gown was beautifully set, making sure that I drink and eat, making sure that the guests are having fun. I was so amazed because I’m so used to doing everything by myself and end up getting overwhelmed at times. But Sonya was a lifesaver! I accidentally left my centerpiece flowers at home, and we just realized it 3 hours before the event. I became worried, but she found a way to troubleshoot the problem. She found some decors she had and some extra decors that I had and made centerpieces out of them. It turned out so beautifully, even more than the original ones. I cannot thank her enough for making our wedding day perfect. Can’t wait to go back for future anniversaries here!

Her professionalism and competency are beyond measure. Without her dedication and direction, the wedding would never have been as successful as it was. Additionally, all the staff were most supportive and ensured we had a perfect wedding. Initially, we planned on using the grand terrace for the ceremony. On the day of the rehearsal, the sun was shining, with a hint of clouds. Our April wedding day presented light rain, fog and cold weather. Instead of us going crazy, Sonya was calm and assured us we could seamlessly move the ceremony indoors, which we did. And, instead of fretting over the weather, it allowed for fantastic photos, with pine trees and wisps of fog in the background. Magical! We ordered hors d'oeuvres, and a seafood platter for the reception, with a selection of three entrees for the dinner. All our guests were quite pleased at the quality of the food and the presentation of each course. I wholeheartedly recommend Tenaya Lodge for your wedding venue. You will not be disappointed.

I had my ceremony on the terrace and reception at the pavilion and the pictures are breathtaking. Elegant day with really pretty views and lots of space to play games, sit by the bonfire, dance, etc. I cannot recommend this place enough

but love and support from her! She was so extremely helpful and helped with anything and everything we needed. Not only was she kind and caring but she was on top of everything! The day went off without a hitch and if anything went wrong I had no idea because she was there. We really cannot sing her praises enough. If you are even thinking about booking your wedding at Tenaya Lodge—do it! Beautiful venue, helpful staff, great food!

nd I had stayed at the Tenaya before and had wonderful memories of that trip. We reached out to them and began working with Wedding Sales Manager Sonya on a small outdoor wedding and reception for 20 or so guests. Just before our October wedding fires in California came very close to the lodge and the weeks and days before the event were filled with uncertainty. Sonya calmed every concern and checked in with us, answered questions, continuously monitored the air quality, and kept us updated. We were absolutely blown away by how wonderful are wedding was! The scenery was beautiful, the food was delicious, the staff were wonderful, and the celebration was perfect! Sonya put everything together- from decor to flower arrangements and she kept us on schedule throughout the day. She made the celebration seamless and stress free and we are so grateful to her!!! We are so glad we chose to have our wedding at the Tenaya Lodge! Now we have a special spot to return to year after year to continue to build wonderful memories.

The venue itself was a great location to host an outdoor (but not too rugged!) wedding, and we loved that the resort had plenty of things to keep our guests entertained for a holiday weekend. The day-of service by all of the staff was amazing; not once did we feel stressed about the logistics/setup. Finally, the food options for the wedding were delicious (and we are foodies, so we cared a lot about this one!). All in all, we would highly recommend this location. Note: The wedding was a little on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for!

Kelley, the wedding coordinator up at Tenaya, was an absolute joy. Her incredible patience, cheerful disposition, and accommodating nature impressed me every time I interacted with her. Because our wedding date was in the midst of the current fires, she had the creativity and fore-site to make adjustments that were beautifully done without my prompting. During the entire wedding planning process and myself bogged down with many details, Charlene carried and brought to fruition the many objectives I could not, but her attitude was always was one of absolute patience and understanding. My wedding day was like a fairy tale and Tenaya, Charlene, and the staff made it happen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

/hotel staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating. The outdoor venue was gorgeous and required very little decor to be beautiful. The wedding manager Charlene was very helpful in helping us pick our vendors and discussing options as we were planning from the East Coast. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner there which was fun and convenient for everyone. The staff was so nice and helpful at our rehearsal too. They let other wedding guests come into the room after dinner and carry on the party. This is a popular venue, so be patient with the staff as they get back to you. They book up fast. It was very convenient to have the hotel take care of virtually everything and it makes it easy to deal with if you want something full service, but it comes at resort prices.

service was impeccable, and the space was gorgeous. Charlene Kelley (event coordinator) was fantastic to work with and really saw to every single detail. She made everyone feel welcome and at ease. I did not worry at all on the day of the wedding, because I knew Charlene had everything covered. All of the staff made my now husband and I feel special and taken care of. The gentleman who runs the banquet department was fantastic, kind, and worked tirelessly all weekend. I cannot thank him enough for offering to return our rentals for us (our contract with our florist stipulated it was our responsibility to do this, but he insisted we should leave it to him so we could get on our way to our honeymoon). There aren't enough words to express how much I loved every minute of the weekend and I wish we could do it all over again! Thank you Charlene and everyone at Tenaya...you made our wedding weekend wonderfully unforgettable, we cannot thank you all enough!

Without her, our wedding would have been canceled. However, she went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding was perfect. And it WAS perfect. Without her knowledge, expertise, and genuine concern, we would have had to reschedule our wedding. We LOVE Charlene and could never give her enough praise for what she has done for us. If we could, we would give her one million stars! :-)

They were able to recommend some outstanding vendors who knew the place forwards and backwards. Any concerns or hiccups, no matter how minor, were taken care of quickly and easily. The entire team is top-notch!
