From our first conversation she put us at ease and guided us so much! Our engagement shoot was so fun and Tera did a great job directing us (two people who don’t model very naturally!). On the day of our wedding, Tera was incredible. She and her second shooter Rylee were both so professional and captured hundreds of beautiful moments from our day. She also helped us with even the smallest details - I had forgotten a crochet hook to help button my dress and she had two right on hand! After the wedding, she got us a photo preview within two days, and ALL of our photos were back to us in less than a month - the turn around was amazing! Tera was amazing! From the beginning Tera helped develop a solid timeline. On the day of the wedding she was more than just a fabulous photographer. She helped with all the finishing details, getting everyone in line and on time, and buttoning my buttons. What I appreciated most was that she was quietly in the shadows during the ceremony to not ruin the moment but in no way jeopardized stunning shots. Her energy and excitement kept us going during the outdoor shoot despite the freezing temperature. She had a super fast turn around time. Her work is extraordinary; we cannot recommend her enough!

Tera was absolutely incredible for us! She did our engagement pictures and was there for our wedding to capture our special day. Before our engagement pictures, she had a sit-down meeting with us for planning the engagement shoot and the wedding as well. This was so helpful because we knew absolutely nothing about what we were getting into! Tera calmed us down and was able to give us so much guidance and advice. For our engagement pictures, my wife and I were nervous because we don't always think to take pictures with each other and feel that we lack vision for what would make a great pic! Tera was so kind and made us feel at ease when we were doing our photoshoot at a public park. She is so fun to be around and has a great energy. We informed her that we wanted some of the pictures to use for Save The Dates and she got us a portion of the pictures within two days of the photoshoot! Very considerate of our timeline and then got the rest of the pictures to us within a week. We loved them so much and still have them hanging all over our house! Between the engagement shoot and our wedding, Tera always got back to us same day with any questions we had leading up to the event. She was constantly available to us as we updated her on our timeline for the day and what we would need from her. She made sure to establish a list of all the "must-have" pictures we hoped to get from the day and learned the names of all of our family members so that she could flawlessly coordinate our large families after the ceremony for pictures! We were so impressed! Although our wedding ceremony wasn't until 5:30pm, Tera showed up 5 hours early to capture so many special moments leading up to the ceremony! She got incredible pictures of my wife and all of her bridesmaids while they got ready and of myself and groomsmen while we were getting ready. All of our wedding party pictures turned out great and Tera did a great job making sure everyone had their moment to shine! Tera also arrived day-of with an additional photographer to make sure that not a single special moment was missed. Both of them were so kind and they worked together so well to make our day even better! Tera was able to get so many cool angles from our ceremony and got all of the fun moments for our reception. I look at some of the pictures and don't even remember Tera taking them! She somehow gets an intimate and transient moment captured without you even realizing she was there! Tera was even nice enough to take beautiful portrait shots of our wedding party and their significant others so they have a special memory of that day as well. We could not be any happier with how all of the shots turned out. One other special moment on our wedding day was right at sunset. She came and grabbed us for a couple of our favorite pictures with a sunset background. What a nice moment it was for my wife and I to have a few moments of alone time on a hectic day. We are less than two weeks out from our wedding and we already have had a flash drive delivered to our doorstep from a different state. All of our incredible pictures in one place and we had online access to them before a week had passed from our wedding. Tera is a true professional and we can't get over how lucky we are to have worked with her.

Tera is a wonderful photographer! My husband is a very shy person who doesn't love having his picture taken. Tera had worked with him before for school photos and his brothers wedding so I knew she worked with him well and was able to capture him with a true smile on his face. Additionally, I had seen Tera's work on her facebook page as well as my brother and sister in laws wedding photos she took! I had no hesitation booking with her for our big day! She is very quick to respond with any communication and very sweet! On our big day she was amazing! It was quite hot that day and she did such a great job of coordinating all of the pictures to get us out of the sun and heat as fast as possible while also making sure we had all the photos we really wanted! I was very shocked to have our sneak peak within 48 hours and our whole gallery to look at online in only a weeks time! All of the photos were SO beautiful and captured our day perfectly! They will be something my husband and I will cherish forever! 100% recommend Tera!

Tera is an absolute dream to work with. My husband and I are both pretty uncomfortable in front of a camera but she helped us to feel comfortable and took absolutely beautiful pictures. She is polite, creative, and so patient. I had to reschedule my engagement photos quite a few times and she worked with me to reschedule. Even when I was forced to move my engagement pictures to January, outside, in 14 degree weather – she arrived ready to go and smiled/laughed with us the whole day. She is organized and responds quickly to emails. She gave me a preview within two days and my final wedding pictures were ready within ONE week! Tera was absolutely amazing! Our original wedding was scheduled for July 2020, but had to reschedule due to covid. We contacted her last minute for a December 2020 wedding and she was so flexible and understanding! Our pictures turned out amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better photographer.

I cannot say enough about Tera! Her amazing work alone is enough for you to choose her as your photographer but her flexibility and professionalism is nothing short of the best. Our wedding was cancelled once due to COVID and rescheduled for a date next fall. Two weeks before New Years Day we decided we didn't want to wait any longer. We wanted a very small wedding with our closest people but wanted it all captured on camera. I called Tera and she was so flexible and said she would love to be there. I also let her know we wanted a bigger one in September and a reception to celebrate. She was extremely helpful, accommodating, and worked with us. The return time on our pictures was also very prompt. I've waited longer on simple birthday pictures from commercial photographer then I did for a whole day of capturing. I laughed, cried, and smiled while looking back on the day. Anything I suggested she ran with made 10x better. I cannot wait to work with her again!

The long version: We were overwhelmed trying to plan a wedding and not knowing where to start. I read about Tera on the knot and we decided to meet. The moment we met I knew she was the person for us. She helped us plan a timeline and was so easy going. It just felt right and we hired her on the spot. She took amazing engagement photos for us and made us feel so comfortable. They turned out amazing. Then the pandemic hit. We were supposed to get married in April 2020. I can still remember talking to Tera to let her know we had to cancel. Her genuine support and response made me cry because she cared so much in that moment when it felt like we were losing so much. It meant the world to us. Moving on we had to find a new date. She sent us open dates for her. Between our schedules and our reception venue we had to pick a date that Tera wasn’t available. I was obviously so sad. We broke it to Tera and she did something so unexpectedly sweet. She found a friend photographer to come to our wedding. We struck up a deal that this photographer who was also so amazing would come take the pictures at our wedding and Tera would edit them and send them to us. Are you for real?? That’s amazing!!! Not everyone would do something like that for people. So when I say you should hire Tera, I mean it with my whole heart. She will never leave you hanging no matter what. She will meet you as a stranger and instantly make you feel like family. And she takes amazing photos. I seriously can’t recommend her any more.

Choosing Tera as our wedding photographer was probably the best decision we made during all of our eventful wedding planning. She was AMAZING from start to finish ! She answered every question we had, even with COVID pushing our original date back Tera still accommodated our new date and plans ! We received our engagement pictures back in a timely manner and our wedding pictures were ready a week an a half after our wedding. :)) Our second photographer Angie was just as great, too! Our family and bridal party kept commenting on how much they loved Angie and Tera and how they made everything feel so comfortable and fun! Thank you so much Tera , our pictures are beautiful!

Tera was amazing! My wife and I were very impressed with how much hustle and effort that Tera put into our day to make sure she captured all of our special moments. Tera was absolutely amazing on our New Years Eve wedding. She was very professional and helpful from the very beginning of our planning process until the day of the event. Even when the day did not go as planned and our party bus got stuck in the mud for a significant amount of time she remained calm and collected and still managed to capture the most stunning photos. Tera was absolutely awesome!! She was very organized and met with us multiple times before our big day! Tera is professional, punctual, and positive! She started the wedding day earlier than planned to get very creative detail shots. We got married on the hottest day of the year, but Tera was still energetic in leading our bridal party through outside pictures. Our videographer and Tera worked well together to get the best shots on our list and keep things moving along during family photos. She got our photos back to us quickly, including the most beautiful sneak peaks a few days after the wedding! Tera took time to answer all of our questions and did her best to accommodate our requests and preferences. We cannot wait to see the custom album we have ordered from her with all of her pictures of us. Thank you Tera for being such an important part of our special day!

Tera knot (haha) only followed through on taking great pictures, as well as her assistant. But also helped in many of the small details of our wedding both in planning and on that day. She became the point person between our venue and DJ on the big day so that we didn't have to worry about the small logistic details. Also as far as pictures go, wow. They were great and she is open to a spectrum of options. You can do every pose you ever wanted or just tell her you want good pictures and she will organize every pose you need.

Tera was AMAZING! I could not have asked for anything more from a photographer. And to be honest she's alwasy doing much more than just taking photos. She was so organized and made sure my day was as well. She even got me a sneak peak of about 15 photos the very next day so we could enjoy a few captured moments before we left for the honeymoon. Tera is extremely personable and so fun to work with. She made sure every photo I wanted was captured and even found the time to sneak us out at the reception for a picture with the sunset. And it turned out absolutely stunning. My bridal party was a little bit tipsy in between the ceremony and reception while on the party bus but Tera just worked with it and kept us all focused on the photos but still captured some of the funny candid moments we had. Tera is fantastic! We have four kids and she was amazing with them! Things were a little hectic when she arrived and her calm and caring demeanor came in handy. She was present and friendly but not intrusive. Communication prior to the event was great. I highly recommend her!

Tera did an outstanding job photographing my daughter's wedding. She was very professional and accommodating to all of our requests. We used Tera Shaffer Photography to capture our wedding in October 2014. Tera was so wonderful to work with; we met with Tera initially to discuss the details of our wedding. She was very easy to communicate with and was willing to try lots of different things for our wedding photos. She shot both indoor and outdoor shots of the bridal party. She came to our rehearsal to get a feel for lighting and the flow of the rehearsal. She captured all the details, from the very beginning while my hair was being done, to getting in the dress, the ceremony, reception entrance & prayer, first dance, father/daughter & mother/son dance, cake cutting, bouquet & garter toss. We also received a lot of candid shots that capture the excitement, joy and emotion of the moments. We are so pleased with them! Tera was extremely flexible trying to capture as many moments as possible. During the ceremony & reception there were two photographers shooting from different areas. Tera was also very prompt in getting us our disc containing our wedding photos. I would highly recommend using Tera Shaffer Photography to capture your wedding day! We are so thankful we chose Tera to capture our wedding moments as we look back upon our photos, I love to show them off to people! They are absolutely spectacular.
