Terranea Resort

Venue is beautiful. A bit pricy and not flexible.

Terranea was a lovely venue for our wedding! Catalina Point was a breathtaking place for our ceremony and the Catalina lawn and ballroom were perfect for the cocktail hour and reception. Of course the view was gorgeous for our ceremony, the rooms were fantastic, and the food was delicious. All our guests raved about how much they loved staying at Terranea. But more importantly, Gina Knight and Leslie McCammon were AMAZING to work with. Leslie helped us in the initial stages of booking the venue and really worked with our budget. Gina helped us finalize the catering, including the menu, linens, table set-up. They were both really pleasant to work with, very responsive, always worked hard to meet our needs and made us feel taken care of. Our only problem with Terranea was that organizing the room block for our guests became a huge headache. The person we worked with was unresponsive by e-mail and did not follow through on things. The biggest problem was that once we set-up the room block it quickly filled up but no one gave us a heads up about this. And when we called to expand the block, we were told that there were no more rooms available. So we were in a real panic to try and figure out how to accommodate our guests. We ultimately had to refer our guests to another hotel, but the closest hotel was 20 mins away from Terranea. All in all, we absolutely loved having our wedding at Terranea and are so grateful for all the great memories and beautiful photos!

i got married here in August and it was truly a dream!! i worked with Leslie who was amazing, and so helpful and patient the entire time planning! The entire hotel staff was so friendly and accomodating! the food at this hotel is to die for! probably some of the BEST food you have ever had! Guest from my wedding are still ranting and raving about the food, and many have already gone back to stay for the weekend1!! This resort feels like a destination. It is big and beautiful but does not at all feel stuffy or snobby (even though it is hanging on a cliff over the water) absolutely warm and comfortable!!! i cannot wait to go back for a mini vacay!!!

Terranea is a spectacular wedding venue with breathtaking views surrounding you. Catalina Point is at the edge of the Pacific Ocean looking out at Catalina Island in the magical distance. I would highly recommend Terranea to anyone who is interested in having an intimate wedding in a spectacular venue.

Amazing place for the wedding guests to stay! Service is great! They upgraded us to a complimentary suite and sent champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Not to mention anytime I went to the front desk they offered us free glasses of champagne. Gorgeous venue - you must go at least for lunch someday.

After having a busy day and stressful year of planning our wedding, the Terranea resort served as our heaven on earth. We had a beautiful room with an ocean vew. We got a great deal for 3 nights. The employees were kind and atentive. We felt spoiled, because we are not used to that kind of treatment. We were able to relax and enjoy our company. We are planning to go back in the near future. WE LOVED IT!

The resort is beautiful, the setting magnificent. The hotel staff very helpful and professional. I only had trouble with the catering staff. It took their staff a long time to set our menu, we only had 20 ppl so we were using the hotel restaurant menu. The menu changed last minute. Also, they seated our party in a dark corner of the restaurant after we requested with the catering staff to be seated under the lanterns. The food was great, but no one could see what they were eating. They did refund some of our bill after my husband complained to the manager of catering.

Every little detail was 5 star. This resort if off the charts when it comes to service and pampering.

I love the Terranea! The views are breathtaking, the food is excellent and the resort is really beautiful with high quality finishes! If I could do it all over again, I would definitely choose the Terranea again for my wedding! Loved it!

Terranea Resort makes a fantastic site for ceremony, cocktail, & reception because it offers the most breathtaking oceanview! It's expensive but we were able to get a better deal since our wedding was during off-season (Nov 6). The catering manager was very helpful & professional. Even though the hotel made a mistake on the main entrees for my parents, they readily compensated their mistake by refunding us charges for 2 adults.

we looked a lot of wedding venues with a resort within 1hr of los Angeles so out of town guests can stay in the hotel.Hands down-this was it.We had local guests that went back with their families for a weekend vacation after the wedding. This used to be the site of the old Marineland so you can imagine the vast space-100acres to be exact. The Catalina Point for the ceremony is the spot to book for the wedding. it overlooks Catalina Island. Most of our guest were from the LA area/Malibu and they were wonderfully surprised to have a local spot for getwaway weekends. Truly fabulous!
