Terry Kaye Events is amazing! My husband and I had Kelsey as our 90 days out/day of coordinator. Right after we had our first meeting with Kelsey, I felt much less stressed about wedding planning. She was so organized and got me on track for the remaining wedding planning tasks. Kelsey’s timeline for our wedding day was extremely detailed and was very helpful for me to refer to the weeks and days leading up to the wedding. I know it was helpful for all of our vendors, too! I’m speechless! These were the most beautiful flowers I have never seen such beautiful and stunning florals in my life! My wedding bouquet was massive and everything I could have dreamed up and more! After attending a close friend's beautiful and elaborate wedding planned and managed by Terry Kaye (and hearing the bride's glowing reviews), we knew we had found the right wedding planner for us. Wow - were we impressed and so happy with our choice! Our experience with her was beyond expectations! Not only did she bring thoughtful, collaborative advice from her years of wedding experience to help refine the vision we had for our wedding (we had lots of ideas), but she brought much support and discipline to the overall process of finding / soliciting / contracting / managing the dozen or so vendors that we engaged that made this wedding the success that it was. Terry Kaye is an expert wedding planner. She has vast experience in event planning of all kinds. She is very connected to vendors in DC and Virginia. She trains vendors and other planners in her craft. Our daughter's wedding was everything that she and her groom wanted, because of Terry's great advice and expert planning. Her timeline for the wedding day was so detailed. Her guidance and coordination during the wedding day was top knotch. She is very easy and fun to talk with, very responsive throughout the planning process, very flexible, and so very professional. Hire her immediately!

My husband and I had the most stunning moody luxury winter wedding at Main Street Ballroom in Ellicott City, MD on December 3rd, and it is all thanks to Terry Kaye. When I met with Terry originally she made me feel so comfortable and I could tell that she really valued taking a lot of the burden off her brides and being a true liaison between me and my vendors. Our planner - Hannah, certainly did this but went above and beyond for us. She was a true friend in this process, helped me make decor decisions, made recommendations based on her experiences, and even stored rose petals personally for me so that they could stay refrigerated. On the day of my wedding I was completely stress-free and knew everything would be taken care of by Hannah and her team, and it was. They brought my vision to life and it was more beautiful than I could have imagined. The night went smooth and Hannah and her team packed everything up for us so that my husband and I could truly enjoy our wedding night. BEST. DECISION. EVER. Hannah was the absolute best! She went above and beyond for us and was extremely organized. She was everything that I would have wanted in a coordinator. I trusted her more than I trusted myself in making decisions for our day. It was more than we could have ever asked for. From the beginning of our planning process, Terry was always so responsive and happy to help with any questions I had. When we were assigned to work with Kelsey as our month-of coordinator, I knew we were in great hands. Kelsey is so sweet, helpful, and on top of every detail that I didn’t even know I needed to think about! She coordinated with all our vendors leading up to our wedding and I’m positive our day wouldn’t have been what it turned out to be without her and Abby. I can’t put into words how thankful we are to have had them around. We had multiple people come up and say it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to and we definitely couldn’t have done it without them! Everyone kept saying the week before how NOT stressed I seemed and it was 99% because I trusted all our vendors (but especially TKE). I’m having a hard time putting into words how incredible my wedding planning experience was with Terry. Wedding planning is so multifaceted and Terry and her team hit the ball out of the park every single step of the way. From the moment I first met Terry, we hit it off. Not only is she wonderful at her job but she is an amazing person, which is so so important. She gives great advice, is always there to listen to you and seems to always know how to get you in the right direction. I am someone who gets overwhelmed when there are unlimited options and decisions to be made but Terry made it all easy. She caught my overall vibe so quickly and knew exactly what I would like and wouldn’t like. She has so many resources and lists that help keep you organized and on track. She is a mind reader and has amazing taste! I truly cannot thank her enough for helping me plan the wedding of my dreams. THEN THE DAY OF THE WEDDING!!!!! I did not have one worry the entire day. Like AT ALL. Every single team member I walked up to on my wedding day, knew exactly what was going on, where my stuff was (this is huge because I lose everything), what needed to happen next, etc etc. I actually had some down time on my wedding day - which I feel like is unheard of!!! I got to sit and hang out with my bridesmaids and have FUN before walking down the aisle because Terry and her team kept everything on time and had everything moving behind the scenes flawlessly. All my guests have RAVED about Terry and her team. It just goes to show what a fantastic, flawless and professional job they did. In the end, words can hardly do justice to the gratitude and awe I feel for Terry and her exceptional team. From the moment we met to the magical day of our wedding, they were there, guiding us with their expertise, unflinching support, and flawless execution. Five stars are not enough for Kelsey at Terry Kaye Events! As a MOB, I was at a loss for how to juggle all the moving parts of a big wedding, but from day one she put us at ease. Kelsey was incredibly responsive and helpful in every aspect of the planning phase, as we expected, but what was even more impressive was her actions on wedding day. Throughout the day she was amazingly in tune and present for any little adjustment, or change, or request. She was everywhere all at once, and made it seem like she would do anything for us to have a smooth and enjoyable day. She checked in on us, was flexible, showed the perfect amount of poise and leadership, and all while being the most kind and positive coordinator. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience with Kelsey and her team at Terry Kaye Events. SIX STARS!

If you are debating on hiring a wedding planner/coordinator, I promise TKE will be worth it. Even though we had a small, 40 person wedding, hiring TKE was the best decision we could have made. Terry and Kelsey are extremely kind, knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. Thanks to Kelsey, I felt way less nervous during the wedding planning process since I knew she had my back. TKE was the best decision for our wedding planning process! We chose the partial planning and design package, which went above and beyond expectations. Terry and Hannah were incredibly helpful throughout our planning process and on the wedding day! This was particularly true due to me being located across the country for most of the planning process. Terry and Hannah were very responsive, professional, and talented in planning and design. As an indecisive bride, I appreciated that they listened to my main design goals and took initiative on decisions when I asked them to (or needed them to!). It was also a huge weight off of my shoulders knowing that they had trusted vendors whom they could recommend for various needs (e.g., calligraphy, catering, photo booth, cake, etc.). Hannah was our MVP in the months leading up the wedding and on the wedding day, and she absolutely crushed it. It was easy to feel relaxed and enjoy the moment of our wedding day knowing that she was in charge of the details. I can't recommend Hannah or TKE enough!

Kelsey from Terry Kaye events was SO helpful in the 3 months leading up to our day. I wish I had her for longer! She was able to take anything off plate that I needed and was available to talk me through things at any point of the day. Can't thank her enough!

Aside from choosing to marry my husband and landing our dream venue, hiring Terry was the best decision I made in the wedding planning process. She is everything you want in a planner: experienced, knowledgeable, dependable, detail-oriented, positive, supportive, accessible, communicative, relatable, thoughtful, understanding, and most importantly, kind. She will get to know you, your partner and your vision and uniquely bring it to life in a way that seems effortless (though it is truly not). Throughout the planning process, she is communicative and open, expertly knowing when it is time to let you make your own decisions and when to offer her input. She is a true professional and has many strong relationships across the industry that help in hiring your vendor team and in orchestrating a seamless event. It is hard to describe the sense of ease and comfort I felt going into my wedding day knowing Terry had my back, and that feeling is worth every cent and more you will pay for her services. She made me and my husband (and our whole wedding party, in fact!) feel present, relaxed and excited on wedding day knowing we didn’t need to worry about any little detail with Terry on our side. Having the wedding in our rearview is sad for obvious reasons, but also because I don't speak with Terry as regularly. Do yourself a favor and hire her. It will make your wedding day and planning experience better than you could have ever imagined.

TKE was great to work with. From the start, my consultation call with Terry was very pleasant. She gave great advice and recommendations. Once the contract was signed, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. I had the pleasure of working with Kelsey at Blue Valley Vineyard. She was wonderful, knowledgeable, and helpful during the planning process.

I can't find enough positive words explain how much of a privilege it was to have Terry Kaye (specifically, Kelsey) be the day of coordinator for my wedding! She is absolute phenomenal with her detailed planning, and I'm truly blessed I got to meet her through all of the wedding planning! There were so many late night email exchanges that they always responded to within a few minutes of me sending it. They were always willing to jump on a call or answer any questions we had without hesitation. After seeing that went into the timeline of our day, it would not have been possible without them! I truly do not know how they do it! They made sure every single detail was addressed and confirmed, and allowed us to enjoy our wedding day without having to worry! We continued to talk about Terry and Hannah in the days after the wedding and how grateful we are to have worked with them. Terry Kaye is an absolute dream. From the moment we starting working together for my wedding in July 2022, I knew I was in great hands. Having Terry (and her amazing team, Kelsey and Delilah) as my day of wedding planner truly allowed me to relax and enjoy my big day. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to change other vendors at the last minute, and Terry quickly stepped in to pick up all the pieces just a few weeks before my event. She really saved us! Terry was on top of every single detail and is so organized - she ensured every piece of our wedding was exactly how we communicated it to her. She also went above and beyond to ensure we, our parents, our bridesmaid+groomsmen, and all my guests were taken care of - everything from ensuring people were in the right place at the right time, to having ice and bandaids on hand for our achy feet! Terry is the utmost professional and such a kind person. I recommend her so highly!!

Terry Kaye is a truly exceptional wedding planner! It is clear she and her team take great pride in making sure every detail of the wedding day is absolute perfection! We hired Terry Kaye Events in 2020 for our daughter’s wedding which, at the time, was scheduled for May, 2021. COVID hit shortly after, but Terry helped us keep moving forward in the hopes of celebrating in 2021. We ended up postponing until May of 2022. Terry was a true pro at rescheduling the various vendors we had selected and ensuring we had replacements for those we couldn’t rebook. Terry helped to design a vision for our daughter’s wedding beginning with the creation of a beautiful, unique invitation suite (Staccato) which was artfully carried all the way through to the wedding (Middleburg Barn, Rosy Posy) and reception (Spilled Milk, Select Rentals). When the week of the wedding arrived, the weather forecast was not looking great. While we had an indoor (Plan B), we really wanted to have the wedding outdoors, if possible. Finding a tent at 4 days before the wedding was a tall order, but Terry was able to secure a tent which ended up making the venue even more beautiful than we originally envisioned. She worked with the vendors to add more florals and other special touches to ensure the tent was in keeping with the look and feel of the event. The special touches during the cocktail hour – a unique escort display, chic velvet furniture and gorgeous florals, were exquisite. Then came the transformation of the Middleburg Barn into a stunning and magical reception. From the amazing florals, table settings with custom menus and beautiful chairs for the King’s table, to the wallpaper insets in the bars and drapery with up lighting – the bride and groom, mother and father of the bride and all of their guests were so impressed and captivated with the entire evening! Terry and her team are extremely organized and had every detail planned out perfectly which allowed all of us to have a stress-free, amazing weekend of celebrations. I honestly don’t know how we could have done it without her. In fact, she is so amazing and such a joy to work with that we hired her to be the planner for our son’s wedding in 2023!

They did an excellent job making sure our timeline was perfect and that everything ran smoothly on our rehearsal dinner and wedding day from pre-ceremony to post-ceremony. Terry is the BEST and she has a rockstar team behind her. She literally made our wedding dreams come true and pulled together a GORG ceremony and hell of a party. We had a long engagement and Terry was one of the first vendors we choose thankfully - she helped us navigate contracts - gently steered us toward vendors and away from others who wouldn't be the right fit for our event - and above all made sure my husband and I felt supported and heard. She became more than a planner but rather a friend! Terry has pretty extensive knowledge of the VA wedding scene (we had a VA winery wedding) and knows someone for just about everything. She also created a design for our event I couldn't have even dreamed up if I tried. I felt totally taken care of - and she made sure to take care of issues we had the night of so that my husband and I could ride off into the night with little a care in the world except being happily married. We would point anyone and everyone to Terry :D <3

Terry is your wedding fairy godmother. She takes care of you, takes care of your vendors, and make sure everything goes exactly as planned on your special day. Terry and I went through a lot together as a COVID bride - but she helped us every step of the way. She is so experienced and has a great eye, that I knew I could give her a bunch of ideas and she would execute in the way that is best. One of my favorite parts of my wedding day was seeing how she arranged all the frames, candles, and more because she did such a great job! Her assistant Kelsey was also awesome! I worked with Terry Kaye and her team members. I cannot recommend Terry enough. We booked our wedding venue in 2019 with the goal of a May 2020 wedding. With COVID, that did not happen. However, Terry fought for us every step of the way to get us to have our dream wedding in 2021. Terry is the definition of a professional, while also being comforting and kind.
