We are so glad we chose Teutonia Mannerchor as our venue for our rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. Tom Morgan is a literal angel. He was so great with helping us plan and set up....
The staff was amazing, quick, and super friendly. My husband's grandparents are lifelong members and also had their wedding reception there, 70 years ago. It is such a very special and beautiful venue. Great beer, great food, great staff/managers. Cannot recommend enough!!!
We had our December 1st wedding at the Teutonia, it was absolutely amazing! Erin is so easy to work with, the are super flexible and helpful. The food was amazing, people are still...
talking about it. The hall is so cool and has so much character, our guests loved all the different historic pieces to look at and the painting behind the stage made for a beautiful backdrop. If I could get married again, I wouldn’t change a thing! Plus we joined the club as members (a number of our guests got applications they loved it so much!) so now we can go hang out and get food/beer anytime!
We had our rehearsal dinner there. Erin was great to work with. We received so many comments about the food. Highly recommended.
Teutonia Mannerchor was absolutely wonderful for our wedding reception. Erin is awesome and fun to work with- she responded to all of our questions and helped make the day run smo...
othly. We were planning the wedding long distance, so we really appreciated her meeting with us when we were in Pittsburgh and communicating through e-mail most of the time. Also, the food is AMAZING! We had the traditional German buffet, and guests loved it. The hall is beautiful and has a lot of character. We can't wait to visit Teutonia Mannerchor next time we're in Pittsburgh!
Highly recommend the Teutonia. Affordable, unique, and they do a great job making sure the day of your wedding goes well.
There are not enough phenomenal adjectives to describe our experience at the Teutonia Mannerchor. Our experience from beginning to end was amazing. The ballroom is beautiful and wa...
s the perfect backdrop for our wedding ceremony and reception.
We had guests who were gushing during the cocktail hour at the venue . . and the food. So many people raved to us about the food during cocktail hour, and after dinner. The chef made one of my favorites, but everything was so delicious. The bacon wrapped scallops, the havarti cheese puffs, the potato pancake bar and the pork in mushroom sauce were some of my favorites.
While we were planning the wedding, the managers and chef had such incredible ideas on how to deal with transitions we had during the day - from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to dancing. In addition, all the members of the Teutonia staff were so helpful and welcoming. The servers and bartenders were so incredible and efficient. Multiple people mentioned to me that they were so happy and impressed with the service.
The venue was such an amazing selection because a lot of essentials like dinnerware and linens are included. The location in the North Side was great and allowed our guests to enjoy the city during their stay. It was also so convenient to our home in the South Hills.
The Teutonia Mannerchor is a hidden gem, and I can't imagine any other place to have started my life with my new husband and celebrate with our dear family and friends!
My 200 guests are still raving about our wedding reception as the best with a real Pittsburgh style.
They are still talking about the food a year later--we had a sausage station w...
ith sauerkraut and potato pancakes and an appetizer station with German nibblers. The beer and wine flowed, a shnapps toast and lots of cocktail choices for a reported longest bar tab ever at the club. The staff was 5 star service, the manager covered every detail and the setting was perfect for a wonderful night of great food, a great band (we used Occasional Rain) & dancing all night!
Teutonia saved the day for us after our originally booked venue closed down 3 months prior to our wedding!
They had an opening for our date and worked with us to quickly plan our ...
special day!
I was only able to come in town 1 time (lived in AZ at time) between re-booking here and the wedding and they were able to help us get all necessary arrangements/details taken care of for the wedding. The beer selection was great as well and the overall cost ended up saving us a significant amount of $ from our previously booked venue! Teutonia is a great affordable location for a wedding!
Everyone still talks about how much they loved our wedding at 'the German beer hall' and also about the super delicious (and huge!) Prime Rib dinner!
We will never forget our wedding at Teutonia - - thank you for making our day amazing!
**Also note we had our rehearsal dinner in the Ratskeller which was wonderful and had great authentic German cuisine!**
My husband and I were looking for a more affordable, yet fun and unique venue for our wedding. We happened to hear about the German Club (Teutonia Mannerchor) in the Northside, sin...
ce that is where we live and decided to check it out. If I had to do it all over again, I would have my wedding there every time. It was the perfect venue for dancing, delicious and authentic food and beer, and an overall amazing atmosphere. If you are looking for something unique and not stuffy like most venues, I would recommend this place. They are easy and accommodating to work with and you are able to decorate the whole place to your own style and tastes.
We had the lunch buffet with some premium options selected by the bride and groom - the food centerpiece was the Schweinshaxe.
We had our event the weekend before Oktoberfest an...
d the Barons played. This is the Teutonia Mannerchoir's "house" Oktoberfest band, normally playing twice per season.
The club manager, Tom, took care of everything, decorating for Oktoberfest a week early. It was our private Oktoberfest!
Did I mention the price included 5 hours of full open bar, (which included the Schnapps bar for four hours?) The Jägermeister, Bärenjäger, and Goldschläger flowed all evening!
Everyone had a great, memorable time. We would not trade this experience and event for anything!
