We are so grateful and happy we went with the Texas Science and Natural History Museum for our wedding venue. It's a beautiful venue, and we love museums, so this place felt like the perfect place to have our ceremony and reception. Our photos and video are stunning! This place is also so cool for adults and kids. It was such a great experience for our guests (young and old) to walk through the exhibits and have access to the entire museum. Everyone had a lot of fun just enjoying the space. Alex, the Events Director, was responsive, kind, and easy to work with. We had a lot of questions, and Alex was great about getting back to us. During our wedding, Alex and all the museum staff were so helpful and friendly. Also, if you're looking to save a little on rentals, the museum had chairs and tables we were able to utilize for our wedding. We wanted our money to go towards supporting something that's good for the community, and this place is exactly that. We were so excited to have our wedding here, and now we are so grateful to have had such a gorgeous, iconic wedding! So many people told us it was the best wedding they've ever been to, and this venue definitely made it a special experience for us and our guests.
Everything about this venue was wonderful!! Alex and Ashley were extremely helpful throughout the whole process and the day of was perfect!

The Texas Science & Natural History Museum in Austin, TX, offers an unparalleled setting for weddings, rehearsal dinners, galas, receptions, and parties, promising an extraordinary experience for all attendees. Nestled in the heart of Austin on the northern edge of The University of Texas campus, the museum showcases breathtaking 1930s Art Deco architecture, both indoor and outdoor event spaces, and exclusive access to museum exhibits for guests.
The majestic Great Hall boasts towering 40-foot walls adorned with limestone and red Pyrenees marble, complemented by intricate brass accents and magnificent Art Deco glass block windows equipped with motorized UV shades. Dominating the space are the awe-inspiring "Texas Titan" fossils—a suspended pterosaur boasting a 33-foot wingspan and a 33-foot tyrannosaur—creating an unforgettable backdrop for any occasion. An adjustable LED lighting system adds a touch of drama with customizable colors and brightness levels. Transformable into an elegant event space accommodating up to 250 guests, the Great Hall serves as an ideal setting for dinners, ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions, offering a unique opportunity to dance beneath the stars and beside ancient giants.
Adjacent to the museum lies the expansive Natural Resources Patio, featuring a grand open-air plaza complete with a 150 ft x 25 ft permanent tent. This versatile space can effortlessly transition into a lavish reception area or an intimate dining locale. Below the patio, the museum's lawn supplements outdoor events, accommodating up to 800 guests when combined with the plaza.
