We were glad to be paired with Jaxn as he was very attentive during our meetings and helped us through choosing songs. During the wedding he did a great job of keeping the energy high and all of my guests had a wonderful time dancing! He also worked very well with our planner Sarah Lurie, which made our job easier!

On top of that, the sound quality was flawless; the microphones during the ceremony were so clear and natural that we forgot we even had them on! Everything from start to finish was seamless. Jaxn brought amazing energy, professionalism, and care to every part of the day. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ who truly listens and gets to know your vibe. He’s simply the best, and we’re so grateful he played such an important role in making our wedding day extra magical.

Most importantly when mistakes happened during our ceremony and cocktail hour that they were providing services for, there was very little done to try and remedy their shortcomings. We confronted the DJ to ask they discontinue playing music through the speakers to allow the two string instruments that we hired to play as intended and planned upon. This mistake persisted throughout our precessional, recessional and into cocktail hour. Which is unacceptable. We approached this complaint with patience and reasoning as we understand that mistakes happen. However, I was very disappointed with how the company handled this mistake. We paid a fair amount for their services, and they did not deliver or communicate as I would expect any professional company to proceeded with a disappointment this large in stature. At the end of it all I wouldn't recommend this vendor for your music needs at all.

We also filled out a thorough questionnaire that really helped us with our music choices. There were a lot of transitions and movement of spaces throughout our wedding, and we thought Joia did an outstanding job getting guests where they needed to go and keeping the party going! We even had some last minute timeline and music changes, and Joia was extremely understanding and helpful. We couldn’t recommend Joia and TH Entertainment enough! Thank you again!

He heard our requests and gave us guidance and asked good questions for us to think about for different parts of our reception evening and how we wanted the music to work in those moments. We put together playlists and he was willing to stick to it, but we were open to him doing some additions because we thought he understood the vibe we were going for. On the day, his setup was nice and he was dressed and cleaned up professionally. He also was perfect as our MC for the evening. He made some good seamless edits to our first dance song to make it shorter and I couldn’t hear the cut. When the dancefloor was open to everyone, he even threw in some mixes where I didn’t expect the next song to blend or flow into the previous. I could tell he really thought about our playlist and cared about how it sounded in these moments and wanted to keep things going. Furthermore, he was prepared for problems and it paid off. His laptop froze or crashed at one point, and I think he had the playlist on his phone and was already connected to a backup speaker and kept the music going while he resolved the laptop issue, which was back up and running just a few minutes later. I think this can happen to anyone, and I hope this doesn’t reflect anything but positively on Joia. Again, we were very glad to have him with us at our wedding. He has a way of getting everyone on the dance floor and all our guests had so much fun!
